Great Value and Cleans Well
After previously having a Maytronics Blue Dolphin Cleaner that cost $2K and lasted only 3 years and 2x $500 repairs despite me being fanatical about maintenance. I decided my replacement machine would not be the Maytronics brand based on the fact they are overpriced and flogged to unsuspecting pool owners based on high commissions. Melts in the sun
Only 4 Months old and the lid and cable melted in the sun.
Took it out the pool and rinsed it off with fresh water, left if out while I was packing up and the thing melted.
Sent an email to Zodiac and after phone calls and 3days later got a reply- I cooked it and no warranty. The person never even read my email or just thinks I'm an idiot, Maybe I am for buying from ZODIAC!
Anyway $300 to fix it, Good luck if you buy one and something goes wrong....you on your own...

Purchased my Zodiac CX20 in Feb 2017 after spending the last 10+ years with different skimmer box solutions. What a difference it has made to that quality of the pool. Only put the CX20 in on the weekend and does the job in a couple of hours including the walls. So easy to use. Even picks up leaves that use to get stuck in the old cleaner. Very happy with the CX20 robotic cleaner.

Good floor/wall performance, steps not so well, very disappointing peformance of Control Box firmwar
Ordered and paid for Zodiac CX20 Robotic Pool cleaner online from POOLEQUIP Malaga, Perth on Thursday 23rd Feb. Good email confirmation from Deb at Poolequip and AusPost tracking.
Unit arrived Monday 27th Feb, no Owner’s Manual, downloaded Revision A from web.
Lowered unit into a very clean fibreglass 35m3 pool on Wednesday 1st March, and on SCS setting 2, floor and walls, it did its work without problem, but did not deal too well with steps. Wall cleaning was most effective, water became slightly cloudy.

Love the Zodiac CX20
Our pool has never looked cleaner, we live on the coast so lots of wind carrying sand and leaves. the Zodiac chews it up no problem. The cord doesn't tangle like the other model we had before, the debri catchment is large and can handle big leaves. The other model didn't scrub so we love that the walls are cleaned properly as well. Last week to our distress it started tracking in one direction and only climbing the walls. Hope warranty fix is quick as can't imagine going back to cleaning manually.

Feeling less then satisfied
Hello. Purchased my Zodiac CX20 in November 2016 and the last few times I have started it there is no movement. It just sits in one spot, pumping water through the pump. Jump in the pool (which was a good excuse during the hear), give it a nudge and it starts working. However when it does move, intensive squeaking can be heard throughout the entire 2 hours of its cycle and even when I stand 10 meters from the pool. Excellent so far
Just bought the CX20 today replacing my 5 year old Pandora Smart robot cleaner which died last week.
The CX20 is a simple basic cleaner that does the job as good as a $2,500 machine. Save money by not having the unneeded gimmicks such a as a remote control, timer, delay start, etc.
This machine is brilliant. Left my pool floor perfectly clean and the control box has an option for floor or wall only if you wish to not clean both.
Early days but so far so good.

Good alternative to suction cleaner
I was looking for a cleaner which will not be using my pool filtering system. Happy with how CX20 is handling the job in my odd shaped pool. Did not realise how much sand and silt I have got on the bottom until started to run this new cleaner. Picks up all the gum leaves and small branches as well. Only issue is pulling it out of the water, my wife cannot do it (maybe it's time to buy her a gym membership?)

Best pool cleaner ever
very happy with my Cx20 it clean the pool perfectly just keep the filter canister clean for maximum performance.
my cx20 cleaner did break down after 12 months but zodiac repaired under warrantee they sent a courier to pick up and return no charge and put a new motor in it the best after sale service I have ever had. CX20 robot is still working Great, just push the button and walk away that easy Cheers.

Worst cleaner I have ever purchased
This cleaner has blown up after eleven months. I will never purchase another zodiac product the service is terrible they are now telling me that t will not cover the controls box under warranty as it has had some water in it. It nearly burned down my house there was smoke poring out of the box, we disconnected the power and threw a bucket of water onto it and now no warranty what a joke. Please be very careful if you have purchased one as the inside of the box has caught fire luckily some one was home product should be recalled. Be very careful if you own one and be prepared for a whole lot of crap when you take it back for replacement.

better than a suction cleaner
I have a 11x4m rectangular concrete pool. Reliable, quick, and much better than a suction cleaner...especially when dealing with an over hanging gumtree and its leaves. It does the water line, but regularly misses the steps and corners. It might miss a section of the pool sometimes, but a second cycle will usually cover that. After a year it stopped working properly, and is stuck in a back and forth motion, still under warranty fortunately! Wonder if these intermittent reliability concerns are fixed with the CX35?

Great unit but keep an eye on problem signs
Purchased the Zodiac CX20 in Jan 2016 from a WA pool shop and have been very happy with its performance for 11 months, being used at least weekly in a 9.5m x 4.5m, 63,000L fibreglass pool and otherwise rinsed and stored in a 130L plastic storage tub from SCA with drilled out ventilation holes (fits perfectly). Have both the 200um and 100um filters and use each as required (100um will pick up fine sand but not fine silt). Works its way around all areas of the pool floor and walls but not as well around steps. After 10 months unit started tracki...

In late Dec 2016 it refused to start cycle and error code (2 blinks) indicated possible jamming/blockage which was investigated and ruled out. A call was made to Zodiac and they arranged courier collection and return after repair. Turns out the whole motor drive unit needed replacing and I suspect water ingress was the cause given the pronounced squeaking leading up to the failure. Great after sales warranty service from Zodiac, however customer service (specifically email communications) could be improved. Owners should keep an eye/ear on signs of motor drive failure especially close to end of 24 month warranty as drive units are about half the price of a new cleaner. Otherwise I have no hesitation in recommending the CX20.- Date Purchased

I bought the CX20 in Dec 2016 and have used it 3 times I am finding the cleaner only wants to stay down the deep end and wants to clean the same spot, I want to know how to clean the other end of the pool too? The deep end is clean, just want it to clean the shallow end too!

Saving me a heap of time!
Purchased it just before Christmas and installed it myself having looked at the online manual. It was easy. Bought an additional plug in RCD from Bunnings for extra safety. The unit works perfectly and I'm extremely pleased with it so far. Hopefully it will continue to perform as well in the future.

14 months old - now no reverse
Happy with how this did the job but requires 100 micron filter. After last summer & beginning of this season (minimal use) now only runs one way, doesn't appear to have reverse any longer, so have to continually manually position the cleaner. Not robotic anymore. Not sure it maps the pool for accurate & efficient clean.

Great machine - starting to fail after one year though...!
I bought this machine a little over one year ago, and have used it on a regular basis once every week or so.
Our pool is not that big, only about 3m x 6m.
In the last three months it gradually started to drop one of its rubber tracks around the pool, and it has now reached a point where the track comes off every time I turn it on in the pool. That's not great considering the modest use it has had.
To rub salt into the wound, I called Zodiac almost a week ago to report the fault and find out how to arrange for it be repaired under war...

I used to use a kreepy krawly but that piece of junk has now a home in the shed if not the bin soon! My first run with the cx20 was amazing cleaned the fibreglass 10x4m odd shaped pool like i spent 2 hours manually cleaning it! Missed the top step and seating area but couldnt care less! Warranty issue after 3 months
Purchased the CX20 in August and use about every 7 to 9 days, light use in a concrete pool. The power controller unit has now failed and the system is not working. Have emailed Zodiac with my Warranty details but they have suddenly gone silent and have not responded. No read receipt, no reply..........
Will give them the benefit of another day before I go straight to Fair Trade to get this sorted. I don't part with $860 without getting something for my money, and something that lasts longer than 3 months.

Happy so far, but often leaves one of the pool ends unclean.
This has made the maintenance of the pool easier, it is easy to use, just plug and drop into the pool.
The only gripe is that it often leaves one end of the pool unclean, basically misses one end about 50cm from the edge. Have tried starting it in different positions and spots; still, the same problem occurs.
I thought it was supposed to map out the pool, maybe it has been mapped wrong?, though I can't find anything on how to reset the mapping if it does.

Selected the CX20 as a result of reviews here and on other pages; we have been using it for 3 weeks now. We were mainly concerned with getting a cleaner that could handle medium size leaves, of which we get plenty!. After a false start, the cleaner is now doing that job very well and we are happy with its performance.

A new 'Sign of the Zodiac': sparkling clean pool
Have to agree with recent reviews; the Zodiac really delivers. The CX20 had it's work cutout; brown murky bottomed pool, but after a number of sessions over a few days or so, bingo, the pool's back to it's sparkling best.
Great design, incredibly easy to get started, dead simple to remove the filter for a quick clean with the hose. Highly recommended.

I searched for a new pool cleaner after my first, pool builder supplied unit gave up after 3years. I looked around, saw the reviews and purchased the CX30. I'm not disappointed. For the first time since my pool has been built my pool is sparkling. The unit scrubs my walls and floor and has alleviated me of the need to brush the pool. In addition the filter cleaning in the unit is flawless. Can't recommend it more highly

Best Investment ever
Works like a charm, never been happier, Doesn't miss a bit. Well designed. We used it in our above ground pool, and couldn't be happier, Even without choosing the program that does the walls, it's so powerful that it comes halfway up the wall anyway, the cycle is 1.5 hrs and it cleans the pool perfectly within that period ( 7 x 4 meter pool)

I was optimistic !
I did a lot of googling looking for the right type of robotic cleaner and more importantly the cost. I tried my neighbour's dolphin out but it was a pain to clean the bag from the underside of the unit. I was optimistic about the CX20 since it seemed cheap but I bought it anyway. Now I am extremely happy with the CX20, cleans the pool better than ever and it's easy to clean the basket.First time I ran it was just after a windy day, it just went about scouring the bottom and walls and removed all the leaves and other yucky stuff from down there. Glad I went with the Zodiac and not the dolphin. Very happy here !
