Prepare to loose $3.5k!!!
AVOID! Please do not book with Aerodrive. We are absolutely devastated, we have been charged $3,500 for damages which is a significant amount of money causing us real stress. The company sent an email to an incorrect email address where they would have received a bounce bank, they did not call us to explain that they would be charging us the full $3.5k.
The pictures sent show very minimal paint chipping, if there is some damage and they can prove it was our rental then we will happily pay with a proper panel beater invoice.
They have absolutely shocking reviews so now we expect to be fighting for over a year to get our money back regarding this. It's so upsetting, am not sure how these people do their jobs. Do not rent from them.
Total scam
We booked a vehicle for two weeks in New Zealand, which we only used for 4 days because it was the start of Covid in March and the Australian government's travel advice changed (and no, although you might think you were entitled to a refund for 10 days of unused car hire after being told to leave the country by the government, you should lower your expectations with this mob).

... Read morerned the car they found the most minute chip in the windscreen, which was too small to be seen in any photograph and I therefore couldn't prove we had not caused. After paying for a repair at the time, 4 months later they have contacted me to say the chip was a crack, they had to replace the whole windscreen and I owe them another $400. No written evidence attached for my insurance company, mind you, and no explanation of why it has taken 4 months or what the car has been doing in the meantime. This company has made dodgy into a business model, they are significantly cheaper than the big rental companies but I have never had these kinds of issues when hiring a car before. Avoid them at all costs.
Claiming with Aerodrive will test your patience.
I rarely post reviews myself but Aerodrive takes the cake. Picking up the car was great, the staff were super friendly at the Queenstown location. The car itself was great and if it weren't for a random crack windscreen on the highway I might be giving them 5 stars because the whole pick up and drop off process was a breeze.

Skipping over an excess amount of emails back and forth with Aerodrive it's been 2 months later and they refuse to send a repair invoice which I need to claim my insurance. On top of this they charged me an additional $400 two months later for 'Calibration' for the Windscreen. Rent with Aerodrive at your own risk, It's a bit of a gamble. If everything goes smoothly you're fine but if you run into any sort of trouble good luck dealing with the aftermath.Poor customer service. Especially for claims.

If renting from Aerodrive, be prepared to be mistreated when obtaining your car, dismissed when talking with their staff on the phone, and ignored for weeks when working through a claim. All around 1 star as the rental price was competitive. For claims where you have personal travel insurance, the cost is $2600 and is held on your credit card where you are charged interest due to the tactics of this business. ... Read moretravel insurance company asking us to get this done. The Christchurch staff are very dismissive and showing a lack of care for their customers. Every other car rental agency I've dealt with resolves claims with 7-14 days, not Aerodrive, it's a minimum of 6 weeks. Putting this poor review on Trustpilot to look to get resolution and will be putting it on other sites as my customer's voice is not being heard through direct contact. If this issue isn't resolved within the next week through this method, it will need to be escalated to the Commerce Commission as it's unacceptable customer service & business behaviour.

Long delay in refund and poor communication
I was reversed into, not my fault, but still had to pay a $2500 excess upon returning the car to Christchurch. I returned the car on 19 Mayember and finally today (13 January) after several Facebook Messenger conversations and mostly unanswered emails, it has been refunded.
Aerodrive appears to have terrible business processes. There is no excuse for holding onto an excess, especially as I know the other insurance company settled the claim on 3 December. Christmas period etc excuses do not wash. This is the worst kind of customer service because it requires the customer to do all the work to get their money back. Shameful.
Free upgrade but GPS was useless
Pick up and drop off just outside Queenstown airport was easy. Their shuttle service was good.
We got an unexpected and free upgrade from a small car to a small SUV which was great, although the car wasn’t very clean. Also, I would not recommend paying extra to use their GPS service as it needed updating and only showed the exact route, no other roads, so it was difficult to follow a lot of the time.
AVOID!!!
Booked a car at Melbourne Airport two months ago for 32 days in feb, march 2020, only to receive an email this morning stating that they were gone out of business. Luckily i have enough time to book with another company. If they are not shut down they should be blacklisted.

We are going through proceedings for false charges, misrepresentation of facts and failure to provide actual documentation for charges. We gave them so many opportunities to solve the issue and then we were forced to take matters further.

Bad Service Ever. We had pumped the oil to the max at the nearest pump station before returned the car. But they still charged on our credit card for not given back the full tank to them WITHOUT informing prior to deduction . Ridiculous! No Aerodrive in my future. Not recommended!

Well I picked up my car Friday for 3 days. Was given top of f the range absolutely stoked thanks Anish . I also had a small account issue when returning car today. Of course this was promptly fixed by Sarah the manager at Sydney airport with calm and professionalism and options . I couldn't even think of going anywhere else. Already going back in 2 weeks. I've already boasted to friends and family. Customer service and understanding is impeacable. Thanks to Ethan also. Sarah thank you so much.

Great little Rental company
Their brand new office is only 3 minutes from the Airport, and shuttle bus from Ace Airport Parking collected us in less than 5 minutes waiting. The staff at the Melbourne office Darren and Manager Adam were very friendly, patient and explained to us the controls of the vehicle and as we were unfamiliar with it. The charge was very competitive, car well maintained and clean. I had a bad experience with big players in the rental game Europ**r, He**z and Th***ty previously, so well surprised by this little company. Will definitely come back again.

The car rental amount was a very good deal; so, I was wondered what the service would be like?
The airport pickup was fast and they picked me up on my own straight away.
I liked the fact that they are less than 3 minutes from the airport.
They upgraded me for free to a much better car (a Toyota diesel SUV with heaps of power).
The service was great and I was on my way in very little time.
Another car rental company I went to (last rental) ripped me off on tolls and I was disappointed. I forgot to ask Aerodrive and called them later. They said
