Very poor service

The only good thing I can say about my experience was that the financial arm was efficient in taking and returning my money when I had had enough.
Long waits on the phone. Four different attempts.
An obvious script the call centre would or could not deviate from.
Then they would hang up and say they could not help.
A minor name issue could not be fixed.
My two requests to talk to a supervisor were not met.
The supervisor was ‘too busy’ to talk to me, or did not return my call when I was told they would.
Oh, and the phone number I was requesting to keep, was lost, and the call centre could not assist due to a minor mis-spelling of a name,or something, somewhere along the way.
Hopeless.
I have gone back to my original provider.

No customer service when you need it

30 mins on hold to get through to aldi mobile for technical support at 11am and i still haven't spoken to anyone yet!! Even tried different options for the sake of speaking to a person. Aldi at least place a msg between the hold tunes advising/apologising to us for a long wait time!! Or unattended office. Can't give a zero rating, how frustrating. Tsk.

Got a $15 recharge saying I had 3gb data after 1 txt 1 fb msg and not even 5 minutes of streaming I’m told out of data, but I find out they charge 5 cents per mb on this plan. 3gb do the math at 5 cents a mb. False advertisement. Never going back.

With the loss of roll over data when MValue plan was superseded the help team consistently regarded the loss of roll over data as my fault for not reading the terms and conditions. I felt after many tries that this consistent reply demonstrated an inflexible approach by this team to look at the situation from my point of view. A text came through that we needed to recharge, and within 24 hrs we recharged but with the loss of approx 30 gig of rollover data. I have sent in screen shots of times of recharge reminder and actual recharge but the same reply, read the terms and conditions, you took more than 24 hrs. One operator said the system recorded we were about a month over our recharge. This made no sense.

No customer service

I used aldi mobile for my children. However one day our credit card failed and aldi mobile never notified me via email, text or any errors on the app. So my children were stranded with no mobile access. I can’t rely on aldi mobile so I changed providers. I complained to Aldi mobile but they said we are under no obligation to notify you about account problems. How pathetic!

Been using Aldi Mobile for the past 4 months and no issues with changing providers and still using my original number was an easy online transition. Coverage is good both in Melbourne and in regional areas from my experience.

My husband has an Aldi mobile at the moment he cannot use his phone although there is $45.00 in his account I have the receipt number we cannot get any satisfaction

We really like Aldi mobile to begin with until one day, the recharge process didn't work properly and kept throwing out errors. We kept trying and then found out the next day it had actually charged us three times! Asked for refund and they refused until we took it to TIO! We gave them another shot until recently it happened again and the same thing. We had to take it back to TIO before they refunded. Their recharge app is broken and they won't admit it. We have moved our service now and won't be back. Great deal but customer service do whatever they can to shut you down before they have to pay a refund. They spout 'terms and conditions' but as soon as you put in a complaint to TIO, they cave because they know they are wrong.

Everything worked well for 2 years using auto recharge and getting the data rollover until this month when during a change of App design appears to have resulted in the auto recharge being switched off resulting in me losing all my rollover data...... NOT HAPPY JAN.

I bought this sim to take to Europe after reading some favourable reviews on other sites on the net. During the two months I was in Europe I could not get the card to work, it made contact with European providers but would not let me make calls or use the data I had paid for. Countries that I visited: Germany (Aldi's home I believe), Netherlands, France, Norway and Greece. I enabled the data roaming before leaving Australia however my data got used but not by me!

The Worst network I have used. They claim to use Telstra coverage. So disappointed..... Pages takes forever to load. Had to goto shops to use wifi. Don't waste your money!!!!!!

I chose wrong the recharge plan by mistake and they refused to refund so i can choose the right plan. I lost $55 because their product description doesn't have an accurate description or a link to the terms. It just says "Terms and Conditions apply" but no link to those terms nor any way to read those terms using the app at all. I was in a rush which was partially my mistake...
Edited: 1 week and 10 emails later: they admittedly gave me a refund..Upped my 1 star feedback to 3 stars. Aldi is usually good but this was not a pleasant experience

Great value in Australia but poor service if you travel overseas.

We have been using ALDI mobile for over 1 year now and the auto recharge feature is great. However if you travel overseas beware it takes over a week to setup roaming and if you dont do it before you leave there is no way of enabling it or enabling divertions to other number. Contacting customer support by phone or email is very difficult and next to useless.

Without a doubt, Aldi Mobile is the best online Telco in Australia. The $25 per month pre-paid plan gives unlimited calls and SMS and 18GB data all on the Telstra 4G network, so reception is first class. Its amazing how many knuckle-dragger reviews there are on PR when its so obvious that Aldi Mobile is an online Telco and only provides customer service for sales, yet the knuckle-draggers expect service no matter what. Anyway, I highly recommend Aldi Mobile.

poor customer service on switching carriers

Bought a $5 starter pack from the supermarket Friday 29th November and activated had issues with password call customer service they advise to use either ? or / in password it worked i then ported my number over online the same night around 7pm from Pennytel they cut my service at 720pm so was looking good placed Aldimobile sim in mob 1115am sat still no service on mob called Aldimobile spoke with operator and was advise that Aldimobile was working on transferring no across and that the would try and hurry it up but had between 2 and 48hrs to do this to slow will see how it goes once connected but not happy with poor change over on business mob.

Poor customer service

The 2 star rating is based solely on the terrible customer service provided by the call centre operator. I happen to have a non native speaker of English to serve and overall, I was dissatisfied during the whole experience. The worker's command of English was not clear and made it difficult for me to comprehend, however, the issue was not resolved and ultimately ended the call. Other than that, the sim was easy to activate with nil issues.

Works Well for Me

Changed from Optus to Aldi mobile 11 days ago after doing some extensive research online, so far so good :)

Bought a $5 starter pack from the supermarket and activated and ported my number over online the same night around 7 or 8 oclock, it worked instantly. Better than expected. Especially after reading some of the reviews here, I was mentally prepared for hours without phone service, but I was pleasantly surprised how fast it had worked.

Data rollover is awesome to have and Aldi used Telstra network so I get more bars (3 out of 4) than Optus (1 or 2 out of 4).

Simple, good value for money, reliable, its a winner for me.

Ported two numbers from Telstra to Aldi family-pack. No issues whatsoever. Number porting done in 5 minutes and the Aldi service up an running - if anything it happen too quickly.

I read a lot of whinging comments on this forum, but experienced no issues.

ALDImobile I would like to put my complaints Forward please to the ALDImobile supervisor and have my matters addressed #1.starting with 1/2/2020 I had I accumulated 14 GB of data I had lost and start again ( having rollover) at 3GB so roll over never rolls over of $15 data pack . And by 15 February then reverted back to 3 GB of data I was not happy, ( I had to pay twice In the same month not happy why why !.) Again no rollover data I accumulated was restored . 3 March which I had to restart and pay another $15 for 3 GB of data .#2 from 3/3/20 & 30/3/20 -30/4/20 I had accumulated 10 GB of data with rollover which I had money in my account again was not paid Automatically by ALDImobile . Now #3 I find that my data (10GB)that I have accumulated which was again was not rolled over at all again starting at 3 GB of data ( again now paid $15 which I have just paid on 1/5/20 loosing all my data and again on only 3GB on the first thinking that my dates would roll over find again not impressed at all!!. I have lost all my data and back reverted to 3GB again of data PLEASE PLEASE may the support supervisor get in contact with me Paul Millikin on 0476 789 536 so we can address this matter Amicably and make sure that my money is getting rollover automatically By your company and my data (10GB) is restored please I had money in my account for ALDImobile to be paid automatically . Iam finding ALDImobile doesn’t really stand up for their Data packs Package deals, ? because they the service’s let me feel quite unhappy ( loosing Data accumulated and payments being paid on time with rollover for a $15 data pack ) . Why does Aldi Balance & Recharge, an My Account, persist in asking me to recharge after I have already done so? They even acknowledge this via fact email. And none of their 'help' questions cover this. It is most frustrating. As I am very deaf I cannot ring them either.
