My spark plug lead was loose. That was the reason why my car had missing when trying to accelerate. I told the customer service rep about the missing. The minute she heard about the problem she said sorry our mechanic can't do anything about it. The mechanic just had to come out and just give the cable a press which would have solved the problem.

She insisted on getting the car towed. When I gave her the mechanics address which was 22kms from where I live. She was so eager to point out the additional 2km charge that I would have to pay.

We had a Landrover roadside assistance policy since 2012.

Recent my 2 kids and I broke down on an extremely hot day, we phoned Landrover Roadside Assistance and was told we did not have a policy, to which I responded 'that's strange I recalled paying for item'.

I was travelling on a semi-rural road at night around 40km north of Melbourne. Had to make a u turn - used a driveway and misjudged it and landed in the stormwater ditch on the side.

Called Allianz and they ended up REFUSING to dispatch a tow truck to pull me out. They gave some bulls***t excuse scapegoat saying they don't cover bogged vehicles or something. Absolute nonsense! I was basically right along a main road one metre from the shoulder and it was such that another car could have pulled me out.

Two weeks ago, I went to a rugby field to walk my dog. I parked my car and put my wallet, house key and cellphone on the trunk of the car.

While I was with my dog, I started to run after her. I didn't realize that my car key has fallen down from my jacket. I tried to look for the car keys everywhere but I couldn't find it, after all I was in a rugby field.

I called allianz about roadside assist. I gave my details and was advised my membership expired 2 years. I thought it was one of those set and forget insurances that get taken out off your credit card every year. Apparently not. The consultant said they could only activate it if I took out a two year policy $180 and $100 callout fee. What a jab! We've recently changed from RACQ to Allianz roadside assistance. My husband had a car accident and the car was completely damaged. He called Allianz because the car needed to be moved from the road to a safer place for other drivers (until that, it was all good). Purchased a new car and called them to switch my roadside assistance to the new car. A year later, called up to ask a question and was told my membership had expired with no explanation. After going through my paper work I figured out myself that when I renewed my membership it had been renewed to my old car rather than my new car. I am normally a blind follower of NRMA. When I wanted to get roadside, its was coming out quite dear plus joining fee (they were treating Post code 2770 as rural!!! Are they serious?). Allianz Roadside was only $79 for the whole year and for the same level of cover, that's less than half price.
