Excellent service fast construction good price

I am very happy with Atlas living. The friendly sales man was very patient, did a few changes for my backyard granny flat floor plan without any extra charges. He set up a very clear budget list for me. There was no any hiding fees. During the construction time, site supervisor was always open to communicate. The tradies were very professional. By the end the quality building costs even less than my set up budget. I highly recommend Atlas living.

You are in great hands

From the first moment we walked into the Atlas display village to the day of our handover our experience was exceptional. Our sales consultant was fantastic at helping us maximise every bit of space and adapting our design to suit our needs. He was extremely knowledgable and very patient and genuinely wanted us to finish with a home we loved. Our building manager ensured the process went smoothly and the trades were great at their jobs and extremely considerate of our existing home. We would build with this team again in blink and are loving our home and are so grateful for this positive experience.

A wonderful asset

published

We had a fully self contained studio with decking built in our suburban backyard. We thought the project was well managed and ran on time. We made lots of changes to the original plans and the initial estimate from the sales person was very accurate. The workmen were courteous and kept the area as tidy as possible. We think the finished product is fantastic and it fits beautifully within our garden. A wonderful asset to family life.

Easy to live in

published

Although the house is only two bedrooms, it is very compact and well designed with no wasted space. I was able to make any changes I wanted right up to the last minute. All the people I dealt with were very helpful, especially the salesperson, who made the decision making process quite enjoyable. The quality of workmanship is excellent and the house is comfortable and really easy to live in.

Hi MCW, just wondering how your build is going now with atlas? We are considering going with them for an extension but we can't find too many opinions online or and end results pictures. Would love to hear your feedback.

Hi MCW / Louise, we are also considering an extension to our existing dwelling but haven't seen any examples / galleries of extensions. Have you proceeded?? Are you able to share some photos?
Thanks

Cant tell you too much as the second stage at a further cost of 3k totalling 5k for builder deposit, wouldn't provide us a fixed price contract, thus was not acceptable to the bank or ourselves and we didn't go with it. Counter to our initial impression I'd be wary with this mob on their exclaimed prices. We couldn't tell you how close their estimates were, because it was too risky for us.

Hi!
We are looking at building a granny flat in the backyard. I am wondering how much extra, per metre, the sewage, gas and electricity will be? We have reasonable access, no cement.

Hi Leo, Atlas generally wont install your services as it can require altering existing structures/infrastructure. I just found an local electrician and plumber to hook up the services.

Hi Tom. How was your over all experience with Atlas. Did the build run to schedule. We are only at the first stage. Paid $5000 and the plan is with council.

They can tell you this although it will be cheaper to organise yourself with local tradesman, I wouldn't go with anything that wasn't a fixed price.

Hi, just wondering how long it took from signing the initial contract to possession? We are thinking about building the exact same granny flat, however, we are just over an hr from Adelaide and wondered about the time it would take. Also what about the extras, did you get the basic build or include a stack of extras. Just wondering if we could see a photo?

Hi,
We signed the formal contract in June 2012 and the building was completed in March 2013. Council approval took several months because we live next to a creek in a flood prone area and therefore had to have additional engineering reports undertaken. The actual build started in early February and was completed quickly. Each trade was coordinated to come in straight after the previous one had completed their job.
As far as extras goes, I've checked the contract and we didn't alter much at all. The toilet was changed to a close coupled one and the bathroom basin was vitreous china instead of the standard one. We had a different front door and changed the wood on the deck to hardwood. We also changed the pitch of the roof to look better next to our house. I've taken some pictures but can't see any way of loading them up. Happy to email them to you. Cheers.

It took 6 months from start to finish I changed a window into a sliding door also made the shower cubicle bigger & put a door on the entry to the bathroom. I got the basic built & used my own tradesmen to build my pergola & extra decking its cheaper that way. Your welcome to see the completed Granny Flat when you come to Adelaide you will love what you see believe me .
