I ordered a package 3 weeks and 3 days ago and it still hasn't come. AUS Post need to step up their game and get more organised as they are costing me aesthetic instagram photos. I even bought handbags from glassons, but my order online hasnt come.

I was left a card to go to my local postoffice and it took 3 days to arrive about 100m away with express. All tracked and it was live goods.
I purchased three items from different sellers in the USA.
It too 3 months to get my packages, and probably 50 emails to shop mate, because they don't do anything unless you hassle them.
They must have an awful relationship with customs, because every single item gets held up with customs for weeks / months.
My advice use any other forwarding service. You think you are doing the right thing by using the Aus Post service, but they do not care, they are slow, their system is garbage, they take zero responsibility and to cap it off they are th...

This service is the worst I’ve ever had. I had a parcel arrive in the USA destined for Australia.
Because the Parcel was $1,100 USD they required more information.
It has been 8 weeks now and I *think* my parcel has been shipped. Can’t tell as the information is useless.
When it gets here I assume there will be duty, so more delays. No idea why they can’t do the clearing prior like everyone else does.
I sent 3 emails over 4 weeks and none were answered until I called.
The email does say that there is delays and that they are human too, so don...

I'm sorry to hear that your parcel accidentally got sent to the US instead of here. Those sorts of missorts are always frustrating because they seem to take forever to rectify. ...

The parcel was sent to Shop Mate, so it was sent from the US, to the US warehouse, and was then to be sent to Australia. That's why I have this review on 'ShopMate'

An absolute joke - this service amounts to exploitation and ripping off Australians
I have used Shopmate on various occasions. It is incredibly expensive compared to the rate I would pay if my parcels were sent independently. But where international postage is unavailable I am happy to pay for it if it means getting products I can't buy here.
With that said, on the last occasion I used Shopmate I paid over $120 for a pair of shoes to be sent. This amount was paid almost a week ago. Since then, absolutely nothing has happened. The shoes have not been sent, no updates have been provided and from what I can see they are still si...
Read moretting in the United States Warehouse. Contrast this with an item I purchased which was 1/4 of the shipping price and which shipped to Australia and which is due to arrive this week. For the amount of money I have paid for Shopmate, the service is absolutely deplorable and amounts to nothing more than economic exploitation.Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback and I'm really sorry that you've had such a poor experience with our Shopmate service....

I have tried contacting the Shopmate team on that number but after 20 minutes on hold I gave up. Just another aspect of incredibly poor service.
Actually I did manage to get through and guess what, it will take another 48 hours for me to get a response as to where my parcel is and why it's been delayed. Such a joke.
Like many others, my package hasn’t arrived within the specified date and has had no tracking update apart from “Shipping information received by Australia post”. So by the seems of things it still hasn’t left the warehouse. The weeks keep going by and it seems like I will not be seeing this package in the near future... or ever. So disappointed. Definitely use another service if you are considering forwarding things from the USA.

Read more needing more information about when to expect the delivery. This is about Australia Post Shopmate, not Australia Post Domestic which I would rate about 90% to 95% happy. Anyway on with Shopmate.
I made a purchase that was delivered to Shopmate in Portland, Oregon on Tue 22 Jun 2021, that delivery by UPS was fast, two days from Los Angeles. The actual acknowledgement from Shopmate was fairly quick, within three days. Then it was marked as shipped on the 24th of June. Now comes the pathetic part, the actual travelling time. Now this item I purchased cost around $1,150.00 AUD, so I would expect to be able ...
Hi Gus,
While I'm glad to hear you've had good experiences with domestic post, it's definitely very disappointing to hear about the trouble you've had using the Shopmate service....

Finally called Aust Post after a week and gave them the FedEx number. Person on other end of phone "found" my package and assigned it to "My Packages". The tracking on the website only happens once it arrived in australia - so from the US facility, to the US airport to the Airport in Australia - NO TRACKING UPDATEs. Also the time line quoted to receive is now longer because of shortage of space on the aircraft. that is not what was quoted before I sent the package. This is by far the worst experience for a freight company ever. Australia post have absolutely failed in their mission statement ... ie "delivery of stuff" - I would not consider using this service.I'm sorry that you had such a disappointing experience using this service.

Three small parcels from US. Paid ShopMate March 5, received email March 6 they are "on the way", AustPost tracking advises "still being prepared" and now March 19. Today ShopMate site not accessible. Lodged complaints with AustPost.
Hi ARM,

Bought goods from USA. On the 5th March, it said it’s shipped but my post app still saying it’s being prepared. Rang every week and Shopmate staff said it’s in transit. I would like to ask which airplane did Auspost use that would take 14 days in the air?!!!!! I rang today (17th March), and the staff now told me that my goods is still in warehouse in US?!!!! I hope I will receive my goods in the end and would never use it again. Absolutely rubbish service.
Hi Steven,
That's really disappointing, I'm sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience....
Read more International delivery times are pretty hefty at the moment. There are significant wait times for available flights due to airlines operating at drastically reduced frequencies which could be contributing to the delay. I'm not sure what type of service is being used to ship these to Australia but if travelling by International Standard, we typically see this type of mail take several weeks to a month or more to arrive from the US at the moment. It's really frustrating waiting for anything coming from overseas through the post at the moment but given the ongoing global circumstances, I'd advise allowing plenty of time for this order to reach you. Have the Shopmate team been able to provide you with any kind of estimated arrival date? Not at all. Nothing was advised. No email reply even I lodged a case number. It seems my money was collected at the earliest convenience then I have been left to my own device.
That's super frustrating Steven,
If you're able to share your tracking number and delivery postcode, I can see if I can find out some further information for you.

As per the title - I've used the service twice now. It takes days from receipt fo the parcels to be logged.
They don't reply to emails.
Comparatively, it's more expensive.
The tracking info the provide doesn't match to the parcels.
It just sucks.

Absolute SCAMMERS. Just please use literally any other company! They sting you with so many charges and fees you end up paying a lot for a tiny little parcel. As well as being extremely deceitful and sneaky with their charges, they also waste your time. It took 4 months to get my parcel sorted and shipped to me even though I am still yet to receive it.

Use literally any other service. Appalling customer service, terrible interface, very slow
When my parcel arrived at their warehouse they updated my account to say it was "prohibited" and I should email for more information. I emailed repeatedly for weeks and received no response. At one point I even received notification that they had closed my case and to give them feedback even though they never responded. Finally I called and was on hold for half an hour before I could speak to someone. I was told I had to agree to risk customs charges due to parcel containing wood components.
The same parcel was then updated to the status of "o...
Read moreversized" and that again I had to email them! Multiple emails were ignored before finally someone responded with a copy-paste of my options, which were to pay them to discard the parcel, return it, or send it to another US address. It exceeded their 105cm limit by 12cm. Unbelievable that their process for dealing with these problems is to request you to email. Especially when they simply ignore emails. They could so easily email your options to you automatically or build this into their interface under your account. Also ridiculous that they have no ability to process oversized parcels (which other parcel forwarding services do) and this is not clear prior to using the service. They market themselves as being so simple and easy. I ended up getting them to send my parcel to a competing service (planet express - seems to be the best alternative that I can find). This cost me $30. They then said I had to email a merchant invoice within 48 hours or risk an additional charge of $55. I provided the invoice immediately and a week later have not heard back. They have still not sent my parcel. To date this entire process has taken 41 days and still no resolution. Do not waste your time with these people. The customer service is virtually non-existent. The process is clunky. Many alternatives are superior in every respect. I will be using planet express from now on. When I emailed planet express to confirm they could process my parcel I received a response within minutes (versus weeks of ignored emails from australia post). When you log in to planet express they have a very detailed interface, easy to do everything you need to, and very affordable.Hey Joel,

Total rip off . (update, eventually admitted to overcharging after i sent photos and was refunded, not easy to get)
For some reason it said my package weight was 5kg but i was being charged 12kg. As is a Christmas gift i agreed rather than send back and miss Christmas.
Package is late and wont be here for Christmas even though it said it would be.
Package is some clothing and back pack.
I used planet express before to ship a triple pram ( 2 large boxes) and was only slightly more than this.
I thought i would do the right thing and support an Australia company and it has cost me hundreds.
Also no tracking just says sent. I could watch the American service moving across the country.
Will never use again.
Very disappointing
Hi Elly,
Sorry to hear your package didn't arrive in time for Christmas. ...
Read more We did post an announcement regarding major rail issues affecting Christmas mail heading to WA on our website here: https://auspost.com.au/service-updates/domestic-delivery-updates (scroll down to latest updates) It's sounds like your parcel may have been caught up in the delays caused by these derailments which is extremely disappointing. I'm really sorry we weren't able to get it to you in time. A quick note on the postage cost and tracking. Postage is calculated by either the actual weight of a parcel or it's cubic weight, whichever is greater. This is to reflect the transport cost of sending larger parcels which can sometimes not be covered if calculating by actual weight alone. With regards to the tracking, you won't see any updates while the parcel is in transit across the country as during that time it's inside a mail container on a truck or train heading across. Parcels can only receive tracking updates when the actual barcode on the parcel is scanned which means we're unlike to see an update until that cross country mail has been unloaded in Perth and sorted to the local delivery location. Hopefully you'll see that very soon now but feel free to private message me with your tracking number and delivery details if you'd like me to take a closer look for you. -CaseyI put a complaint forward saying delivery was 22-25th and was told they didn't know where i got them dates from.
