I have tried shopmate for the first and last time. Will not repackage under a metric volume of 2.1kg so will always cost atleast $25AUD to send anything. Cost to send anything in general, after eventually finding rates, will cost you a great deal more than any other forwarding service actually based in the USA. No invoice to provide as purchased through eBay, they tried to charge and extra $55 to me because of this, and no explanation as to why an invoice is necessary. Go anywhere else and get a forwarding address, as usual shopmate is just another auspost system to rort the Australian consumer.

Absolute RIP OFF! 2 pairs of shoes ordered, then $165 to ship them from ShopMate to Australia! Absolute gauging rip off! Never ever again!
1 pair was going to be $65, the other $95! How does this work, they are exactly the same shoes!

I bought 2 items from Amazon. Sellers were US based. Notwithstanding the delays and lackof information due to Covid 19 the issue I has was the following;
The items arrived a the ShopMate delivery address on the same weekend
- They did not consolidate the items into one shipment
- and most of all the weights received and the weights on the ShopMate delivery for purposes of caculation of fright charges were substantially INCREASED based on the website Data

It costs me more than a 100 AUD to have two Sophia Disney Dolls for my grandaughter sent to Australia, far more than the value of the items.

I ordered something on 17/3/2020.
It usually takes around 27days to arrive, door to door. It's now 35 days, so even allowing covid19 delays I thought I would contact Australia post.
Wrote a detailed explanation, found tracking number (Lx306487902us), filled in my details, then press next submit, nothing happens.
I've lived at this current address for 6 years and there's always issues. I've never had this happen before, I don't know if it's delivery person out here or not. It's like a goddamned lucky dip. What time will postman deliver today? Will I receive my mail today?
I'm so fed up, if this continues I'll be making a formal complaint to a higher agency. I have kept a record of every incident.
Get some competent staff .

I cannot express my gratitude enough to ShopMate for their excellent service! After finding out what I needed to order was not being shipped to Australia during this worldwide situation, I took a chance on ShopMate. Pricing is on the more expensive side, but this is something that didn't even phase me; it was worth it in my case since I needed these items shipped and I was willing to pay extra for that. Delivery came on-time so there were no issues there. Thank you ShopMate for your fantastic service. You have REALLY helped me in a time of need and I will continue to use your service in the future and recommend you to everyone I know! :)

Every day is Groundhog Day for Australia Post, as their tracking advice is 'out for delivery' each day - but the parcel is never delivered. Is this a new way for them to lose a parcel without ever admitting it?

Initial payment taken from my account three times. Then it took over a month to be delivered. Because of this it incurred extra fees with the exchange rate being less favourable, the value of the goods went over $1000 aud, which means another $100 to process it.

Terrible service, will not use again!

Absolute joke this service. I have purchased 2 x pair of shoes over a month ago and still I haven’t got them. Currently it says dangerous goods. This is 2 x pair of leather shoes, yeah real dangerous.

I am absolutely appalled at the number of calls I have had to make and various emails. I’m over it now I just want to cancel the account and get then picked up from a reliable service.

Avoid them it’s a joke and you will regret it.

Shopmate is totally disorganised with no checks/balances for potential theft or lost items. I had 4 packages sent to Shopmate, but when i followed up one of the late/missing packages, they claimed they got sent an empty box by a major US retailer. The photos show however, a square item was once inside leaving marks on the packing slip.

IMO the item was likely misplaced at their warehouse. And they just fobbed me off.

There are no actual savings. It's cheaper (and probably faster) to have the seller ship directly to you.
3 Pairs of shoes costing almost $200 to ship. This is completely unacceptable.

Shopmate advises package is over 105cm in length. No option to repackage item into smaller box and no response to attempted email communications after 4 days now. Guess I have gifted the package to Shopmate. Recommend to avoid at all costs.

I guess it's on me as I read the terrible reviews. But I still used them. Bottom line, I could not ultimately ship the package, I had to pay for it to be shipped back, and they had 'information' on their website that I should have read. I'm all for reading but it was nowhere I looked. Sad excuse fir a business/service.

Two packages sent together - arriving different times. Told it takes 10 days.... Paid on 26 Mayember, tracking stated "Shipping information received by Australia Post" for over 6 days during which time Shopmate blamed Auspost and vice versa (Y'all are the SAME company, sort it out!!) eventually they scanned it in Sydney on 5 December and one has made its way to me today (13 December), with the other still coming. Cost over $100 for two parcels, one is only a tshirt... My estimated delivery date was 3-6 December. Thank Goodness I do all my online shopping so early.
