Awesome products I used a 6x12 caged box trailer to move houses for my son we had the choice of open cage side or a fully enclosed trailer with the open sided trailer we moved all his stuff in one go

If I could give a 0 this would be it.
There was no trailer on the location that it was supposed to be, we were made to travel to another location where we were guaranteed one but again, no trailer. Awful service. Already had paid for and booked multiple weeks in advance.

What A Waste Of Time And Money
ABSOLUTELY The worst rental company I have used. Ordered online and booked, was told at the service station I will need to do it all again. Ramp lid had no clip, so the ramps could of fallen out along the road if I had not seen it, the attendant told me you need to call U-Haul its not our problem.... no answer...WT?
Then the ramps are 6 inches wide and straight slick metal.....
After One try of getting the vehicle on the trailer I gave up and returned the trailer.
UNSAFE AT BEST...
$130 waste...

We have been experiencing a high volume of customer just to it being peak season, very sorry that we did not attend to you phone call. If you please provide your Hire ID we will be able to identify the trailer to ensure any concerns are attended to.Save yourself the trouble, easier to rip your own hair out.
Worst hire company I have dealt with. We showed up at 6am to get a trailer for a 9hour trip, spare tyre was flat, service station staff said it had sat defective for 2 weeks, our booking had been in for a month.
The lady informed us we could wait 2 hours for tyre shop to open and get it changed ourselves or drive an hour to get another one. We drove to get another one and the jacking handle was broken. We were lucky we had an adjustable spanner to lift and lower it or we wouldn’t have gotten it on the ball socket for towing.

Card issues & Defective trailer.
As a prior customer, it kept defaulting to my past expired card, even though entering new card numbers. Web chat no help, refered to calling, didn't call. Trailer light not working on pick-up, defective and unroadworthy. Did not take the trailer & 'returned' it without leaving the Servo. Also told all people only take one shackle for two safety chains. Wrong number on web, finally continually asked "Who told you that you are getting a refund?" Ruined my day. U-Haul = No-Haul.

Cancelled my booking without notifying me AFTER I turned up to pick it up twice.
Turned up to pick up trailer, key to lock had been taken home by staff. Will be there in half an hour. I leave to move everything to front lawn in anticipation of picking up trailer. Go back over an hour later. Turns out they simply cancelled my booking and no-one let know. This company totally left me stranded and wasted my time and money. Unreliable and unapologetic. Let the poor petrol station attendant apologise for them not contacting me as they told him they would. I understand things happen. But they should have called to stop me from having to drive, leaving my goods on the front lawn only to have nothing waiting and then scrambling to find something else and praying nothing was going to be stolen.

Terrible service, faulty horse float
After booking a 2 horse float, when I got home I found there was only one pin, so could only move one horse at a time. Also, another safety pin was missing. Rang the call centre to let them know I would need till the following morning due to the faults. I also asked if I could check it in to a different location and the lady told me that was fine. Got to the location The next morning, only to be told I need to take it to the original location. However over night the original location went into lock down. They are now charging in me for a one way trip even though I can't get the trailer to the original location.

Read morehire, as the trailer was returned to another location due to local lockdown and we are very sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused during this period. As we are a self-service business, we do rely on customer or agents feedback in between services, if there are any concerns regarding a trailer. You were the first hirer to bring the missing internal pin on the horse rail to our attention, meaning that we had not been able to attend to the trailer and have the pin replaced to ensure 2 horses could be moved. Additional time was added to the local hire at no cost, to allow you to move the horses as you were limited due to the missing pin. The safety latch on trailer couplings are spring loaded, so do not require a ‘R’ pin which is why these are not supplied. Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope you reconsider using us again in the future. Regards UHAll to easy!
I recently booked a car trailer online and then picked up from the local depot/service station. It was a very quick and easy process. The trailer itself was very good and towed really well. I could not fault the service or the trailer, all in all a very good experience! I would recommend to anyone looking to hire a trailer.

very rude call centre'
my tow ball and uhaul trailer not compatible..wanted to re book AFTER l checked can get a smaller light weight tow ball.....offered a voucher and asked when l wanted to rebook..said dont know if l can get a smaller tow ball ....my tow ball 2 tonne...to tow a trailer total over 2 tonne with 1200kg load..you have a smaller under 2 tonne ball hook up ....your staff just hung up..l have no email confirmation of booking, your kiosk at site mal function... l think taking the $20 hit is better than dealing with this company for me sort of matches the other reviews on this site.

ZERO due diligence costing us a fortune - Cannot rely upon - Worst SERVICE I have ever experienced.
I'm truly unsure if I can come anywhere close to describing how poor this company is in regard to customer service (or even basic moral standards). I booked almost a week in advance and made a number of plans to enable the relocation of our broken down vehicle, including BUYING a new car capable of towing instead of just hiring a car to get home. On the booked time when I went to pick the trailer up after taking delivery of the new vehicle, the U-Haul attendant informed me that U-Haul had intended to contact me days prior to cancel the booking...

I could not take the car that I purchased back, Instead I am stuck with it and the additional transport bill of a tilt tray (a further $800) due to their incompetence. Of the 2 trailers returned to the U-Haul rep (trailer building / repair company) one had faulty brakes, they could not repair the brakes to fulfil the hire arrangement, instead they let me buy a vehicle, take delivery and only then cancel the booking. I wrote to complain but they simply wiped their hands of it with a 'sorry about that' response stating they are not responsible. I have no words left to describe the lack of customer care or even a simple due diligence that U-Haul failed to display, leaving a customer well and truly out of pocket and still in need of getting a stranded vehicle home.- Value for Money

No customer service
Trailer was picked up from Warana agent and at the time asked if this trailer could be returned to the Yeppoon branch, was told this was fine I returned the trailer 24 hours early to the Yeppoon branch and two weeks later U Haul withdrew $2100,00 from my bank account without out even informing me or contacting me, tried making contact both on the 1300 number and was on hold for two hours, also tried online and was told they could not help.
This is theft and I will be taking appropriate steps

As per the signed hire docket, the trailer had to be returned to Hervey Bay and not dropped off at Yeppoon. This information was presented to you on the kiosk when completing the hire process as well as on the hire docket that was printed out. Our Terms and Condition were attached to your booking confirmation, agreed to on the kiosk and can be found on our website. A signed copy of the hire docket can be provided at your request by emailing [email protected]. We were informed by the agent at Yeppoon the day prior to your booked end date that the trailer had been dropped off and leads handed in then customer had left site. We attempted to contact you the same day via phone and text to discuss that the trailer was required to be returned to Hervey Bay as per the signed contract. After that we made numerous attempts to contact you in relation to the hire. Our servicing team then was required to return the trailer to Hervey Bay to ensure we could fulfil hires, as the trailer was not available for one way. Went to hire trailor today from these grubs paid for it started to hook it up did a walk around and no number plate now they tell me it could take up to 5 days to get my money back steer clear of these mutts go to move yourself trailer never had an issue and this was the first time hire and will be my last

Shonky company with shonky trailers
Six months ago i spent some time trying to hire a 2000kg carying capacity car trailer. uhaul yamba said they had one . I booked it for 24hr hire. $129.00 I picked up at 10am as booked. When I arrived to pick up the Ford F100 I realised the trailer was too narrow to fit the car and was only rated at 1200 kg. I rang uhaul and was told to return the trailer before closing time and they would not charge me as I had booked a 2000kg capacity trailer. She said it was my fault that they did not suply what I had booked and were still going to charge me for the hire and hung up. Total botch up and then accused of theft
Hire of trailer Easter Saturday to pick up broken down vehicle.
Hired trailer on the lot.
Apparently that trailer was unroadworthy, but nobody knew. There was no sign on it etc.
Trailer breaks broke down.
U haul contacted.
U haul staff accused us of stealing the unroadworthy trailer.
U haul staff threatened to charge $2100 if trailer was not returned to depot.
NRMA was called and dismantled all the brakes on trailer. Advised it was unroadworthy.
At our risk, trailer was returned to depot.
2 amounts were debited from credit card by u haul for this "great customer service"...

Trailer in excellent condition, and collection process is very simple.

Uhaul have very poor availablity of trailers
In a City the size of Newcastle i wasnt able to arrange a Medium Size Cage trailer to be avialable in three weeks time. Customer service was very poor when i spoke them by phone. I'll never use them again or reccoment to use them again.

Poor customer support.
When we went to return the trailer the Depots were not opened as advertised. Contacted the contact centre. They promised twice to follow up and call back. Twice they did not. they would not allow us to return it to another local depot that was open. When we returned the trailer when the depot opened up 2 days later there was no receipt provided. A totally unsatisfactory experience

Instant quick and easy! 7X4 trailer
I needed a trailer quickly as I impulsively purchased a 2mX2m trellis. I was on my own so I was a bit nervous about hiring a trailer as I’d never done it before. I googled where the nearest trailer hire was and found U-haul at Morningside Puma. It took only a couple of clicks to locate the sized trailer I needed on the U-Haul website. Then within only a few minutes I had one booked. I rocked up to Puma and the young girl behind the counter was super lovely. She pointed to an electronic kiosk where I had to match my booking reference which had ...

The instructions were super clear and easy. The girl then gave me the necessary leads and I was able to hook it up to my car very easily. Seriously I was able to book and drive off within about 15 minutes!! So easy. I picked up my hubby and we went and picked up our 2nd hand treasure. Returning it the next day was just as easy. Easy booking, pickup and drop-off process using the machine provided at so many different petrol stations. Easily got my bond back. They provided all types of plugs as well as D-shackles. There were so many different types of trailers. The furniture one I hired was fantastic for my needs.

A brilliant solution to moving stuff you need to be shifted!
Have used UHaul many times to move vehicles from regional SA to the Adelaide metro area (8 hour round trips). This work requires a well maintained and easy to use car trailer. Time and time again UHaul has delivered me exactly what I needed. Easy to book, easy to use, easy to return....they are awesome! A+++ Highly recomended.

Waste of time and unreliable
Waited two weeks for a car trailer then could not book online at my closest retailer so phoned and reserved.
Phoned to say on way to pick up.
Told me no trailer in stock a a it was 800 km away. What a waste of time.
