Vacumm to loud
I bought this to replace my Electrolux Ergorapido which lasted about 2-3 years before battery died. Bissell has great suction and works well on my wood floors to carpet to rugs. I have since gone back to the Electolux stick lithium this time as the sound of Bissell too annoying as it was a lot louder that other stick vacuum cleaners. Battery life is amazing though and hardly have to recharge. do not miss it now I have gone back to Electrolux.
great suction, excellent battery life
a bit louder than other stick vacuum cleaners

Every day quick and easy vacuum
We have a Miele barrel vacuum which is around 10 years old and is the best vacuum bar none. We have a Hoover cordless for that quick clean, it is easy to use and can be used as a dustbuster as well. We also have a Neato robot Vac (called Bender) which really is a great machine. So why did we buy an AirRAM and why do we think it is the best thing since sliced bread?
The Miele does a great job, it has all the accessories to do the stairs, the car and all those nooks and crannies. It has 2200 watts of suction that will lift your carpet from the...Read more
underlay!! It has a hepa filter and a great bag system that collects ALL the dirt and you don't have to deal with it at all, just throw it in the bin. It is so well made, stainless steel wand, and really tough plastic parts that just last forever. It is however, heavy and takes some time to put together and a bit cumbersome to drag around the house, especially if you just want to do a room or a small area. The Hoover Freejet 3-in-1 Stick and Handheld is light and easy to use, always ready at a moments notice and you can detach the dust buster section if you just want to take care of some crumbs on the lounge etc. It is limited though, it does not have Lithium battery so it is only for small jobs and really not much suction so don't expect miracles. Now Bender ( Neato Mod VX-21) is my hero. He is programmed to do the hard floors each Tuesday and Friday nights (we are a shoes off house and there is very little on the floor). He is scheduled to start after we go upstairs for the night and although he is a trifle noisy, we cannot hear him from upstairs. We originally programmed him to do all downstairs, including the carpeted areas, and found that he sometimes got lost doing a large house and also the carpeted areas really filled his little dust bin quickly with mostly carpet fluff. So he now does all the tiled floor area including the kitchen and laundry, family room etc., That still leaves us with bedrooms and the lounge to clean on our Saturday cleaning day - so Bender is not the complete answer but what he does do, he does well and he does enough of the house to take the load off on Cleaning Day. This then brings our story to the Bissel AirRAM. This really is the bee's knee's, and completes our armory of vacuum weaponry. It is light and easy to use, it has unbelievable suction, it will last about 40 minutes on its Lithium battery. We use it to do the rest of the house that Bender does not do and it accomplishes this with charge to spare (we have a 36 Square home!!) It is so quick and easy to use, we could not do without it. It does not have attachments so we cannot do the stairs or the car or the nooks and crannies and it has not quite got the suction power of the Miele. It does feel a bit plasticky but I guess that is what makes it so light and transportable.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Almost perfect
I read many reviews before buying the Bissell AirRAM and although this is the best vacuum I have ever owned it is not perfect. I was after a cordless vacuum that would clean properly and easily. The Bissell AirRam did not disappoint there. It is very light and easy to use and has it's own self propulsion which makes vacuuming fun (yes it is possible) Even my husband will pick it up and vacuum because it is so easy to pick up and use!
We have mainly floorboards and tiles throughout our house and only uses 1-2 bars of battery to do the whole ho...Read more

Incredibly Powerful and long battery life!
I've read a few reviews about the cordless Dyson vacuum before deciding to go with the Bissell Air Ram. I've never owned a Dyson but was so to close to buying one until I read the reviews! I'm glad I did as it has been great since I started using it. Its powerful suction and long battery life have been saving my precious time in cleaning a 4 bedroom house. We have both hardwood floor in the common areas and carpets in all bedrooms and AirRam has been doing a great job. For the whole full house, it only takes half of the fully charged battery.
Powerful suction and long battery life
A bit messy and difficult to clean the filter

Best cordless vacuum by far
We've had many cordless vacuum cleaners and this one is the best so far. Suction power very strong. Sucks just as good as my powered vacuum even on carpets. Very maneuverable, light and looks great. Charging is easy. We vacuum the whole house and it's left with 3/4 bars on the led indicator. The head is very wide, at least 3-4 in wider than the Dysons. This means it takes less time to vacuum (less walking).
Powerful, maneuverable, light, wide head

So many issues. So disappointed.
I felt like I had to leave some feedback for those who would like to buy this product. I am not sure if it was just bad luck or more than that but our vacuum cleaner lasted for just a day longer than one month. We sent it for repair and after a month we got the answer it could not be repaired therefore we can get a new replacement. I was happy to finally clean the house asap and I started charging the battery as soon as I got home. Went outside for a couple of hours and as I came back the battery indicators were off. I thought that it needs to ...Read more
be charged longer so I left it charging during the night. No, as I turned it on only two bars were showing. Tried to use it for a bit and then recharge - NO LUCK - the battery does not charge. I feel like there is something very wrong with this product. We will take it to the shop tomorrow to see what the issue is, but I just feel like we wasted the money. Yes, vacuum cleaner picks up a lot when it works, if it works. For us it was perfect for one month and then went from 5 stars to 0. I am really said about what has happened and my house is still a mess :( Vacuuming I whish I knew1 comment

The vac for people who hate vacuuming
I've sent my heavy and unwieldy Henry vac down to the basement (figuratively speaking), where I can bring it up every year or so to clean the flyscreens. I replaced it with the AirRAM. It has no hose, no wand, no crevice tool, no fly-screen brush, no nothing. This is not the vacuum for you if:
* You are forever sucking the dust from your skirting edges with your crevice tool
* You love vacuming the sofa with the soft-brush head
* It takes you more than half an hour to vacuum your house,
* You have large staircases, like in Downton Abbey
* You have shagpile carpet
This is the vacuum for you if:
* You live in a flat or apartment or terrace

Gem of a vacuum cleaner
Comes with an extra 1 year extended warranty if warranty is received by Bissell within 14 days of purchase
The Bissell website has a promotion whereby purchasers between 26 December 2013 - 28 February 2014 at any participating Australian retailer can receive a free additional battery.
Thank you to all those who placed a review of this vacuum cleaner because i am now a very happy owner of one
I have all tiled floor surfaces and it easily vacuums up sand, dust balls, pets fur, crumbs, bits of paper, anything really.
Vacuums up right to the edges of skirting boards
Loving having no corded barrell vacuum to drag around.
The noise! Thinking of buying ear muffs

Great machine
Been using this for the last 3 months and am very happy with it. Easy to use. Lightweight, efficient & has cut vacuuming time considerably. Whilst these are not cheap, the job it does means only doing a complete vac with the full size machine a once a fortnight thing. The power head works really well and the only criticism is that the dust containers don't hold enough... 3bedroom, lounge & entrance hallway requires 3 empties. I have used Bissell carpet sweepers etc for decades and always liked them. This offering is a continuance of the brand name.
Everything works like always with Bissell. Love cordless.
Dust container a bit small

Amazing
The best cordless cleaner ever. Good suction and works well on all floor surfaces
Battery lasts long enough to do whole house. It is easy to empty, stands up by itself and I cannot fault it.
Does not like fluffy rugs and carpet fringes.
Not the most elegant to look at but it really does the job!
Better than others I have had.
Nothing

So much power and easy to use
I love my Bissell AirRAM. I did lots of research on cordless vacuums and it was between this and the Dyson models. The AirRAM is cheaper and the battery last way longer. The AirRAM is light, moves so easily and has so much power it is great on carpet and good on hard floors. It sits up by itself too which is a bonus as I don't have to worry about it falling if propped up against a wall.
The power, good battery life and ease of use.
Only downside is it'll suck up everything! (which means if you are a tad lazy like me the odd sock will get stuck in the turbines.) Doesnt suck sand up that well on hard floors.

Best vacuum cleaner ever - and without the cord!!!
I just got my new bissell air ram and can't believe how great it is! I was able to vacuum my entire house on one charge, with more charge remaining.
The best bit is how the carpets look. They look brand new again, with the pile lifted and so soft underfoot. I have a heavy shedding dog who likes to sit on the couch, so I just lifted the air ram up and ran it over his favourite spot, and it's hair free once again. I even got down on all fours to inspect the carpet for dog hair (sad but true) and could not find one hair!
This thing is so compa...Read more

Fantastic!!!
I am so pleased I bought this vaccum, it is so light, no cords, great swivel & the power is unbelievable, instructions say it takes 4 hours to completely power up but it did now take this long, I was a bit concerned at first with no accessories but with the turbo like brush head it picks up right to the wall no problems, my old vaccum is now in the cupboard kept for accessories only! It far surpasses my other well known brand! Love it!
No cord, power, swivel,turbo head.
Nothing

Efficiency and Convinience.
Never have i been so impressed with a vacuum cleaner,it is so efficient and convenient we no longer use our full size well known brand vacuum cleaner, battery life before recharging is exceptional, when not in use it stands in our laundry and when needed just switch on and go,no nuisance cords to plug in and get tangled around feet while dragging around our full size cleaner, battery charging is so easy and quick,
and may i add this Bissell AirRAM can do all our various floors, thank you Bissell for a great product.
So easy to use.
How can you improve on perfection.

What a Machine!!!.
What a machine!!!, the Bissell Air Ram replaced my big heavy to drag around Dyson and I am really happy. No loss of suction, no more tripping over cords or having the cord caught around furniture. The job was done in half the time. I was apprehensive about the suction at first but the carpet came up like new and the hard floors were cleaned well too. I was amazed at the amount of dirt the machine actually picked up. Will save up now for a Bissell steam mop. .
Everything, its easy to use and is an efficient cleaner

Useful addition to my collectin of cleaning tools. Bear in mind this is a sweeper not a proper vacuum cleaner. This is probably the best rechargeable sweeper available by far. It does a goog visual clean but not a touch on my proper vacuum . A lot of dirt remains in the pile so if you rely on this as a main cleaner your carpet would not be as clean as it looks.
Good for a quick visual clean,
Relatively expensive, bit noisy, no detachable hand held unit,

Bissell not so AirRam
After having looked for a vacuum cleaner for quite some time I gave up on the idea of a single unit and decided to take a more sensible approach and go with two rechargeable vacuums, one for the floors and the other for nooks, crannies and furniture.
The Bissell AirRam works well but definitely does not pack those bales as tightly as claimed, once full of loosely packed dust it needs to be emptied, else it returns to floor what it has picked up. However the charge was ample to do a fully carpeted home, three bedrooms, hall, lounge and living a...Read more

Can I purchase replacement parts for the discontinued AirRam? I need a replacement plastic strip for the front casing where the brush sits inside. My husband can get a little enthusiastic using this machine

I would contact the Bissell Outlet Shop in Scorsby, Victoria - they would be able to let you know if they have in stock and could post to you or if you live nearby you could pick up.
No, it wasn't your husband, it happened to me too, broke 13 mths after buy, and you can get from Bissell but it takes a bit of time (long time cos they don't answer very quickly and then don't respond well, there's a girl on emails who is terrible) for them to get back to you and i gave up and threw the thing out, mine lasted just over 12 mths before that happened. I'm going back to corded vacs, i tried other vacs too, even a Dyson and it was terrible. I should say they sent me the part, but it didn't seem to fit properly and no one i knew could get it to sit in there.....sad because it was v good.
Sounds exactly like our story!
