Poor Customer Service
Took my BMW 320d to Rolfe Classic BMW for some diagnostic checks and service. Part of the service involved changing the brake fluid and checking brake pad wear. A few days after the service I found that a locking wheel stud was missing on the left front wheel. It was not missing before the service. After an unanswered text message and 3 phone calls to Rolfe BMW I was informed that it was not their problem and they were not prepared to do anything to resolve my concern. Even though the issue was fairly minor I was confronted with an arrogant, offhand attitude which of course dictates that I will not be going back there again. It is disappointing.

NorthShore Fails Again
My car notified North Shore that it needed new brake pads. 2 weeks later I am called and asked the guy to call back as I am at work busy, heard nothing. Two weeks later I called to book the car for front brakes and asked for a confirmation on the service booking, Heard Nothing. So I emailed them saying what has happened and confirmed the booking and state that nothing else is to be done to the vehicle just the brake pads due to previous experience of over servicing. Finally I get an email response saying sorry it won't happen again and they wil...Read more
l be talking to the booking guy. The big day comes for front brake pads to be replaced, dropped the car off sign on the dotted line for the front pads. Return in the afternoon and find the check-in-chick has written on the signed sheet for an extra $550 worth of work. No one called me or attempted to call to ask for authority. Maybe the work does need doing, but either way a simple phone call would have fixed the issue and given authority if required. Please do not use North Shore as you don't know what you are getting and you may end up with a bill much larger than anticipated. It is clear they have poor customer service processes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Purchased all the genuine parts from Daniel Haderup, who was kind, DTE and very accommodating. He was a affable and professional fellow who knew his product. Hopeless. Completely ignored me twice
Over the past year i have been twice to the BMW dealership at Chatswood. Both times I felt like a ghost. The only person who acknowledged my presence on the last trip was an Indian guy in the garage who said both 'Good morning' and 'thank you for coming'. This was more than I got from anyone in the showroom. The girl at the desk was too busy doing nothing and the salespeople were thin on the ground and noticeably absent. The first time was midweek; the second visit was on a Saturday when I realise they are busy. Still, after sitting in about 6 different models and spending about 20 minutes there I gave up and bought an X1 from Rushcutters Bay instead.

Extremely happy with the service.
I am really happy with the service I received from Bundoora BMW, especially from Peter Smit. He is very genuine, helpful and honest. He took time to explain different options available in our new car and is very pleasant to deal with.

Northshore BMW - Exceeded my expectations for friendly service
In the short time spent in their showroom, the friendly staff at Northshore BMW went out of their way to make me feel welcome and relaxed. Not only did their knowledgable salesperson promptly serve me a refreshment, but their senior sales manager personally introduced himself and handed me the accessories I had come to collect.
The range of new BMW models on hand was intriguing enough to provide motivation for a return visit, quite soon, also.
Well done and thanks!

Same problem as other Reviewers
Same with kingsway BMW. Senor lights coming on, now oil level low. No oil spills no smoke, so I am thinking they forgot to do something.
Oh plus you need to put new tyres on, hmmm no still have about 10k of tread.

A bit of context - Bought a new built 4 series gran coupe delivered in 2016 May. The car has been driven and looked after with care. There is no rough driving on the car.
Straight away within the first 2 weeks the car had a broken camera in the front bumper (which caused the camera view error in the screen). A little after waiting for the replacement for part and...Read more
the repair, the entire control module broke. For instance, the GPS placed me on top of a rail load and even center of a lake for once in the navigation screen. You can't set location or use navigation. The voice control did not work. The SOS Emergency Call failure light is constantly visible and cannot be dismissed. We as customers are not your QA team. Do your homework before delivering a defect product to us. It seems like this is a habbit for them such that whichever they touched, something else broke. Shortly after weeks of waiting part again and replacing the control module, I noticed something else broke: Window Rubber Seal (one of the passenger side) was deformed and not aligned to the dot matrix on the window. Screen menu missing a menu item where it can receive security code from BMW website or BMW App. Even after fixing these, there are two occasions where they did not even check the car after the repair and the SOS Emergency call failture light was still on! What a waste of time having arrived in dealership and got told to come back the next day. All these happened within the first three months. You began to wonder when this is ever going to end? I have expressed this issue with the sales manager however he said refund was not possible. From his words, he thinks it is reasonable that 1 in for example 10 cars may have defects. Although provided with a loan car, every trip I still need to allocate time from work and spent 40-60 min drive depending on traffic to the dealer twice a day to arrange the warranty repair/service. In addition, I don't know whether this defect discovery pattern is going to go on any longer. Even one of the rain wiper has a friction related noise issue after 5 minutes in operation. For now the defects just seems endless.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

BMW Canterbury customer service and technical competencies
I had my X5 E70 serviced to investigate frequent fuse blowing problem that caused the park brake and remote control keys to fail until the fuse (F129) is replaced. They replaced the park-brake actuator and switch that were in good working conditions at over $3,200 but the fuse continued to blow. The root cause of the problem happened to be a simple wiring harness issue at the tailgate penetration that BMW (Germany) acknowledged as a common problem but the local technicians overlooked. It was repaired in the end and BMW partially refunded upo...Read more
n my request. The some of the sales staff seem to lack customer-service skills and are ignorant. However, their big boss is very polite and took my concern seriously. Thumbs up for his damage control skills. Also, while my car was with them for service, one of their staff members used my car for private use overnight. I am leaving my feedback to share my experience with other BMW owners. In summary, the customer service at desk is rather poor but their big boss is customer-focused and well mannered. Technician's diagnostic results were premature and inaccurate. Actual mechanical skills were good. Overall, disappointing but just one of those thing that may happen. It could have been better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Was looking at a 2017 m3 demonstator today after booking a time at 1pm with [name removed]. Have taken my mini into BMW Wangara since I purchased it. Many problems, but now a big one. Need a new Turbo. $7000. Took it to independant mechanic, he has informed me, the reason I have Turno trouble is because my oil is so cluggy & black it has blogged a small pipe that supplies oil to the Turbo.
Why hasn’t my oil been changed since aug 2016????
Why did they not pick this up, before now???
Should they be footing the nill for this???
Last time I get or go anywhere near BMW’s

Poor After Sales Service
Substandard detailing done to my new vehicle during delivery process. My request for a thorougher detailing was declined despite this process being endorsed by their detailing product specialist who had inspected my vehicle and tried removing some stains around glove box area in vain, before I lodged this complaint.

Great cars....but bad servicing
A misconception is that you must bring your BMW to the BMW stealership for servicing. They often overcharge their clients because of this common misconception.
A great product spoiled by money hungry sharks. Find yourself a good independant mechanic. Infact all BMW stealership servicing should be shutdown...just sell us the vehicles.

Terrible Experience
I wish I would have read the review before.
Had a terrible experience when took my car for a repair.
Charged Top $$ to diagnose few problems and advice to replaced no of parts rather than servicing them.
Thanks for their wonderful estimate, decided to sell the car to wreckers and a genuine guy at wrecker asked me to go for second opinion as he suspected its a well know issue.
Guess what the issue they told me can be fixed with few part (not the list of parts they suggested should be replaced) and a good honest service to reaming parts.

Although I have never purchased any BMW from Trivett Classic (on each occasion found a better deal elsewhere), the quality of their service department is the only reason I keep buying the same brand. They are honest, helpful and generally great people to do business with.

BMW Dealership Service - Southbank
Terrible service quality at BMW Southbank over the last couple of years. Constant re-attendance for issues where I have notified them of issues only the be told "no fault found" and sent away. After several re-visits for the same issues (e.g. warning lights, faulty parts) I have always then eventually been told, yes there is an issue. It's like they don't actually diagnose anything. They just have a quick look.
Their "visual inspections" during scheduled services are also just that. They simply eye-ball things without any real diagnostics. T...Read more
hey've used this excuse with me as to why issues and faults occur soon after regular servicing, where they get to charge you for parts and labour when you re-attend. I do not see any value in their high labour costs for scheduled servicing when from what I can tell (and have actually been told), no actual specific diagnostics get run during servicing. They check and change fluids and have a quick look for anything visibly wrong. Doesn't give you much confidence at all that when you drive out of the service centre you should be all good until your next service. I have owned Nissan's, Honda's, Mazda's, BWM (mini's) and a BMW and had my servicing done at dealerships and independent service centres over the years. I can see nothing at BMW Southbank that makes their service any better than anywhere else beyond the nice waiting lounge cup of coffee you get when you drop the car off. Everything else that should make BMW worth the very expensive parts and labour costs doesn't exist from what I can see.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
John Mcasked
Just tried to purchase a vehicle from a dealer in W.A. Salesman said there was no problem and did 25 to 30 a week. I agreed verbally to use their finance quoted at 5.6 %
Sent a holding deposit in view of this and expected no problems (had not signed anything).
Told next day by salesman that he didnt know what was involved.in interstate transport. My reaction..????
Rings me Monday and says I need an address in WA I can use. Why? He then said "otherwise car is sent without rego"
Then changes story later that day and says plates stay on car and will be shipped rather.than trucked.
Now.says plates have to come off before sending again.
I ask for holding deposit back.
Agrees but now says they only bank one day a week and I have to wait 6 days?
Does anyone else feel like this is.odd?
Is this right concerning rego (my friend bought a car from Perth and it arrived with plates and rego, he only had to get a blue slip and transfer ownership within 7 working days)
And can I expect my holding deposit back.
John.
