Problems from day one. Installation and unit issues from day one. Installer condescending! Service terrible. I gave up after nothing but problems for 2years.
Every winter it’s frustrating.
Tonight is apparently 29 degrees in the house apparently!!!! ( we are sitting with blankets and jumpers on) To get the remote to change temperature we have to place outside for the unit to come back on.
Paid extra for dampers/ zoning have never worked. !!!
Absolutely terrible.
Will never recommend a Bonaire.

I bought the 5 star ducted gas central heater on the 3rd April, 2012. It always stopped without any reason. I have to turn off the heater for one day, give it a rest; then turn it on again to get the Heater going. It is not the ideal Heater. Also, every year I have to hire a Technician for service; otherwise, the Heater just does not work.
Purchased in for $1,900.

It warms well enough for its age. Have had no trouble I. All the years we have used it. Cannot fault it or the cost originally. Good overall heating unit have used Bonaire products in the past and will still do so. . . . . . . . . . .. . .

Was installed and not tested by installer. Went to use did not work. Was not working from the day of installation. AGL would not replace the unit but got a serviceman to repair. A faulty component was replaced. Will see what happens when we go to use hopefully it goes ok. In my opinion we were over charged for this heater by AGL so pays to look around for a good price. I believe installation was very poor and it should have been checked before they left. Not happy at all.

Read morehree and a half months and still not fixed. Bonaire will not replace. Not happy at all. Would not recommend a Bonaire Rhino 20 and would check out other models. Have been without a heater through the cold winter months for most of the last three and a half months.- Date Purchased

I've had this ducted heater for two years, and have had no problems with it so far.
The zoning works very well.
The only criticism I have is the outside unit is too noisy. The noise comes from the flue, it seems to be designed to make the noise, like a whistling kettle. Unnecessary.
Update..............
The heater stopped working recently. It took a week for a repairman to attend, peak winter period so probably understandable. The unit was still under warranty so no cost to repair.

Read moreer heating and the return air suction in roof leaves the bottom area as cool as outside. The heater broken in one week after we move in. Now broke again. And after a week wait for the technician, got a reply that they don't have spare parts and I have to wait until it is manufactured again. Poor customer care....Questions & Answers
Does anyone know which pins on the digital thermostat connector within the heater / on the controller correspond to red, yellow, green & white on generic digital thermostats?
The Bonaire navigator controller has a 4 pin cable with identical connections at each end. I want to continue to use my existing thermostats by cutting off the thermostat end on the new control wire and hard wiring it via screw connectors.
Bonaire have not responded to my e-mails!
Why can't we obtain a wiring diagram and list of fault codes with explanation for Bonaire heaters,,,I want for MB5-20i ? Bonaire don't want you to know...not at all helpful. Will not purchase a Bonaire heater ever. BEWARE
Wiring diagram inside top panel. Fault codes available on the internet. Fault codes come up on controller screen.
What does the code mean HE 72 and underneath Co25 shows on navigator, Heater ia a Bonaire MB5-20i
