Another unhappy customer
My data keeps getting used when I am not even online .
I have been with boost for years and never had problem i leave nothing open when not in use .
have been told by boost it is because of a network change.
So boost changes usage so you have to keep recharging because data is consumed at all times.
3 recharges in a month what a scamm ! .
Feel I am just being scammed.
No notifications about network changes !
Consuming data 3 times faster than normal and not even downloading !
Also sick of network outages that make you lose your rollover data because you can't recharge because there is no network !

Service ok but app is really annoying
I switched to Boost the other day I'm finding the service ok. But for the love of the god, your app annoys me so much the fact you need data to access the app at all is even absurd and the interface of the whole app is tacky and annoying.The app is just so annoying to use when I need to check my data compared to other mobile provider app which are more efficient to use

Deliver of New Sim Card is a joke
1. I ordered a new sim card and paid $150 on 3rd March. (Screenshot Attached)
2. Their website says that the new sim cards are delivered next day in metro areas. https://boost.com.au/shipping-and-delivery/
3. I waited for sim card. Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 and Day 4. I was frustrated and called up their customer care and they had no clue where my sim card is although I provided a BO ID/ Number. The customer care team promised that I should get it by end of the day or Monday.

Poor POOR call quality
I moved over from Kogan to Boost mobile in November 2022. The idea was to avail a good data and call package with the ability to call overseas as well. The upfront 12 month charges were not a problem, the porting went ahead efficiently as well for me. But the call quality has dropped significantly over the last 2 months. I was hoping it would get better with knowledge that Boost uses the Telstra network. However, I cannot seem to make a call at all unless I turn on wifi calling. nd I only get a hang up message, if I get anything at all. Sometimes I don't even get that. I count my blessings each time I get a clear voice quality call. But usually when the call gets through, the voice keeps breaking up. It's hard to hear the other person, or the other person isn't able to hear me. This is my personal number that I also use for work. So it gets pretty embarrassing when someone calls for the third or fourth time in hope of getting the call quality right. I hope there is some work done to improve on that. If I had a functioning phone, the package would be great value. At the moment, not so much. I hope Boost will do something about it.1 comment

Not impressed with sim delivery
I paid $240 for a sim package last Mar 1 and until yesterday (Mar 7) your customer care consultants don't have a clear answer on where the package is. Let me give you a timeline of what happened:
Mar 1 : I paid for the sim package and received an order confirmation.
Mar 2-6 : No email or whatsoever regarding my order

Customer Service is an absolute joke
I simply wanted to port over an existing phone number to a new BOOST sim card. Thought the process would be easy and smooth transition that takes "roughly 4 hours" as they say. Turn out it was the complete opposite, and everything that could go wrong, well, went wrong.
First, I submitted my online application for my port request. Gave all the correct information and ID required. Port request from Optus to BOOST sim card was pending. About 24 hours later, I called back BOOST asking them why it was taking so damn long. Transferring the to diffe...Read more
rent departments etc. was an absolute nightmare. At one point I was being "transferred" to the porting team and was left on hold for 60 bloody minutes. I simply hung up and called back. Getting back to the porting request at this point, when I finally got to the right person, they said it was still "pending" meaning that Optus hasn't approved the port out request. So I called Optus about this, and after being switched around to different departments, verifying my ID to Optus and a damn 45minutes~ later they told me they haven't received any port out requests???? Now I call back BOOST and go through different departments like always, told that they have resubmitted another application for the number to be ported into the new BOOST sim, and this will take 24-48 hours to complete. I'm already 24 hours in with no functional SIM card and I'm forced to wait up to another 48 hours. Later at night, (I don't even know how this was even possible), BOOST ported in SOMEONE ELSE'S mobile number into my new SIM card. I was then told to purchase a TELSTRA starter SIM card to transfer my number and data pack onto which I did the next day. Bought the Telstra SIM card (as they requested), called up BOOST, then told I got the wrong SIM card was meant to buy a BOOST SIM card instead. Went back, bought anther BOOST Sim card, and FINALLY everything was solved after this absolute crapshow. In the end, I had no functional mobile number for a total of 48 hours which had significant impact on my work and personal life. From not being able to login to my work accounts which requires MFA, and not being able to contact family members on personal matters, it was the biggest load of crap to deal with. No phone, no data when I needed it, and ALL OF THIS was due to BOOST's complete and utter incompetence with their customer service to simply provide accurate information. And with all of this trouble, what type of compensation did I receive? An extra 30GBs data on top of the 240GBs I hardly anticipate myself using and was told I should be grateful for this type of compensation. Absolute joke of a company.1 comment

1. I am migrating several family phone numbers to boost. 2 were ported just before the bonus 40gb on the $150 80gb 12month prepaid

Stay away from Boost Mobile, don't ask for trouble
I cancelled an order of 2 SIM cards made on Feb05, called the customer services 5 times for cancellation and refund. They said they cancelled for me but every time I called them ask the status of the cancellation and refund, they said "sorry we didn't succeed in cancelling that last time." Then on Feb26, I received 1 SIM card.
Bascially everything went wrong here: 1)they didn't cancel my oder; 2) they shipped 1 SIM card even I orderred 2 cards; 3)It's Mar 02 today and I still don't get any refund.

1. Did Chat to boost over net to order "Blank Sim" Agent said 3-5 Business days to arrive.
2. Sim arrived by courier (Startrack) morning 4th day. Had to sign for.
3. Went to Telstra shop next morning (Saturday) to change from Postpaid to Prepaid. Done after 30 min.
4. Rang Boost to activate sim and port existing Telstra number I had for 20 yrs. Done after 1hr.
5. Went to boost site on net and did charge for $150 for 12mth. plan . Phone worked straight away.

Terrible Experience and Worst Telco Company
We ordered and paid for the Boost $150 sim plan online over 1 month ago, and Boost did not have an estimated timeframe on delivery of sim card. We were then told to go into the shop and purchased sim cards and recharge vouchers and our online order would be cancelled and refunded within a few business days. It has been over 3 weeks and multiple follow ups since the cancellation and no refund have been received to date.
This company provides terrible live chat support and customer service, and unethical business conduct holding onto customers funds and not refunding. Telstra should be ashamed of this!!

An excellent customer experience TWICE!!
I changed to Boost a month ago. Changeover from Telstra was seamless and fast. This was a test before I changed a second phone over from Telstra given all the apparent negative experiences. The second changeover has just been completed which was also fast and seamless. The staff have been very polite and helpful. I could not have asked for more. I do not understand what all the complaints are about but my experience has been very positive. Thanks Boost! I have no interest or connection with the company save that I am now a very happy customer.

The onboarding process was extremely incompetent, delay after delay and then they ended up not porting my mobile number that I have used for the last 18 years.
1. I ordered the SIM and it was delayed and took 3 weeks to arrive.
2. I got the SIM and was directed to activate it online... I filled in all the fields and got through all 5 pages of details, and when I hit submit, it just said "due to technical difficulties we are unable to activate your account please contact an agent"

Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing
This company is not run very well. I, like others, waited for a SIM card which I'd paid for. When it didn't arrive, and they couldn't give me an estimated arrival date, I cancelled my order. I have not received my refund, and on top of that, a SIM card arrived in the mail yesterday. If I phone them, I get excuses and empty promises. Nothing gets resolved (for any of us).

I am a new customer switched over last Sunday March 29th, still have no connection, can't make any calls or receive calls. Have been on livechat they just tell me it's coz of the virus.I have emailed them they said they will respond within 5 days or I can contact customer support, but I can't ring anyone. I finally got my service activated yesterday after requesting activation on Saturday 28 March. I ended up going through the Telstra call centre. I explained my situation and the telstra employee was able to directly transfer me through to a Boost rep and they activated it over the phone. If you can use someone else's phone to call Telstra that will be your best chance of resolving the problem.
Cheers...honestly I'm tired of the whole rigmarole, they should be working from home if the corona virus was a concern, sick of their excuses,extremely poor data speed, they dont even have the decency to repond to existing customers concerns, instead they duplicate every response,to me that explains what kind of company they are and their carefactor..I've got the s8 note so it's a good phone,no reason for crap data speed you were lucky too have jagged the Telstra rep.i wish you all the best!!!
