How to dismantle the turbo head entirely to get in and give it good clean? I know how to remove the round brush but it continues to slow. I know from all my fiddling there is plenty of hair and dust inside the actual head. I have the Zoo Proanimal model

Hi Maurice,
Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch BCH6ZOOAU.
The only instructions for cleaning the floor tool are what have done. We would recommend doing this after each use for a while to ensure the debris further in has a chance to come loose and go through the appliance as normal.
If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744.

We gave had the relax model for some time and are constantly frustrated by the machine shutting down every 30 seconds and no its not because the filter is blocked its definately not as I clean it regularly. This is without a doubt the worst and most frustrating vacuum that we have owned, even our 30 old Electrolux barrel cleaner is better than this - what are we doing wrong?
2 answers
I'd say nothing. The Pro Zoo-Animal vacuum we have, started doing the exact same thing after owning it for a year or so, and it still does it. We regularly take the filter out and blow it with the air compressor; it's okay for one or two vacuums, then reverts back to its old behaviour. If your vacuum is still under warranty, I'd approach the store where you bought it and try to get a refund or swap for another, better, vacuum cleaner. We hate vacuuming in our house because of this expensive piece of garbage but because ours is out of warranty and we can't afford another one, we're stuck with it!

My Bosch has some suction in the hose but none in the head and the rear capsule which collects dirt used to turn and now doesn't. The instructions are useless, no trouble shooting and I don't know what to try. I've taken out all filters and cleaned everything well. Still no movement in the back or suction in the head.

My Vacuum keeps stopping to self clean, l have cleaned the dust and wiped out everywhere l can but it still keeps happening. I now have new carpet so there isn't much fine dirt so l'm surprised the the vacuum keeps going into self clean before l've even finished one room.

This has happened to mine since I first purchased it. After sending it back and being told it's fine I have since been told to send Bosch an email. No one has ever replied. The worst product and customer service I have ever encountered.

Hi it appears that i have the same problem as everone else. Quicker to sweep the floor, the very expensive vacuum cleaner runs for 30 secs at most i have cleaned ALL the filter and even run the machine without them, even then it cuts out whilst not vaccuming. Has there been an Australian RECALL on these machines as it seems to be a major problem and not really suitable for its intended purpose i have contacted your 1300 number and the consultant was well aware of this fault but was advised that Bosch does not fix vacuum cleaners. I would understand if i purchased a kmart special but this is not the case please help, surely i am not expected to purchase another cleaner.

It was by far one of the worst purchases I have made. I had the very same issue until one day it refused to start. I bought a 55$ Vacuum from Kmart and haven't had a problem since. Bosch should stick to power tools.

When my vacuum does this it means I need to empty it. This doesn't just involve the barrel but taking the filter cartridge within the barrel out and tapping it firmly all around with the flat of my hand to clear it of dust trapped in the 'folds'. Quite a messy job which I always do outside over a rubbish bin. Just one of the reasons why I would never buy this vacuum again.
Tanja M.asked
Hi all,
I also have this vacuum cleaner and it seemed to have a major issue now.
After vacuuming for a few minutes the self clean button turns red but it doesn’t self clean. It is still running, just going quieter and stops sucking and stays like this. I have to turn it off to get it back to run.
Any advice?
Might need a new filter but I’m struggling to find one to buy.

Please advise what to do? Does not do vacuuming, as has to. Please respond to: [contact details removed] thank you Danny

Hi Danny, my Bosch does exactly the same thing and it is so frustrating. Cleaning the filter is extremely awkward but helps for a very short time - maybe a week or two. Bosch customer service did contact me about it & requested receipt which I sent them over a month ago. I’ve had no contact with them since. I have just accepted Bosch vacum was a very bad buy & I will never purchase any of their products again.
