After not believing the company that installed my heater I went to a couple of different places to find out why the heater didn’t work properly. One company sent out their tech to look at it after hearing what I was saying about it not heating, they found the reason why there was a panel missing inside the heater from when it was made. I was told the heater was working as it should by the people who installed it and made feel it was just me. When the new tech came to look at it and found the problem he contacted Braemar and spent an hour and a ...

The only reason we chose this unit is because it was a direct replacement for our older wall furnace and we didn't want to be patching our timber wall. We knew what we were getting into based on other reviews. NEGATIVES: It's fairly noisy. The burner comes on with a real thump and there are 2 automatic fan speeds that cycle as needed, plus a manual boost position that you won't want on for too long if the TV is on. We can't find a happy medium with the thermostat. It's either too warm or not quite warm enough. The panel that hides the controls ...
Read moreneeds a light inside that comes on when the door is opened as it's impossible to see anything in a dim room. PLUSES: It looks nice and sleek. The styling is much more modern compared with the old one that was covered in slotted vents. The controls are at chest hight, so no stooping. It does warm our downstairs area well. We didn't have to patch or paint anything after the oldie was swapped out for the Braemar. CONCLUSION: This could have been so much better if a little more time had been spent on its usability. It seems half-baked with several little things that could have made it brilliant; such as more fan speeds, a better thermostat, a light inside the control panel.- Date Purchased
I had to place my trusty Vulcan because it was leaking carbon monoxide. It was a great heater. The new Braemar replacement looks great but doesn't sound so great. It is definitely noisier than the Vulcan but its only awful when you set the fan to boost. Heating wise I'm happy with it. I haven't had any problems with the thermostat clicking on and off. It cost me $2500 and was a preferable alternative to the $6-7 000 ducted heating would have cost.

Have just replaced a very old, but fantastic Vulcan wall furnace with a Braemar WF 30. Heats quiet well, but this automatic fan..... My goodness what a poor piece of design and engineering - so, so noisy. It could possibly drive me crazy.
My question to anyone out there is.... could an electrician do anything to cancel out the automatic fan so that I can just have it on low the whole time? Most of the time the fan switches to high, which seems unnecessary and a waste of power, as well as sounding like a jet taking off.
I am so disappointed wi...
Read moreth this product Just an update: We contacted Seeley International to clarify whether the heater was functioning normally or not. Their engineer and a technician came to our house, took the fan out and replaced it with a new one. The clicking in and out continued and our television became snowy whenever the clicking took place. The engineer and technician returned, checked the electrics and found a faulty switch which they then replaced. The heater is still noisy, it does not switch in an out as often and it certainly heats the room which is large. We did move our furniture around to create more airflow. The attention given by Seeley to solve most of our problems with the Braemar WF30 was fabulous and much appreciated. Good price, fitted exactly into space left by Vulcan. Automatic fan extremely noisy.

Hello John
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. The directional vanes are normally adjusted by the installer during commissioning to direct the air flow to take account of the room shap...
Read moree, furniture etc. This is normally set and forget. If the other room is behind the one where the heater is installed there is a rear register kit that can be added to direct up to 60% of the air to that room. I would suggest that you contact the installer if you wish to make any adjustments. Thank you ~ Craig
