It’s 4 1/2 star energy rating
I have recently upgraded my homes heating, to the braemar wall heater it has been quite different to my old rattling valcon heater it has a fan forced flu so risk of carbon dioxide in the home is all extracted via the roof vent, the heater it went on perfectly to the existing spot with out any alteration to my walls.
The system has a multi level heat button and has automatic thermostat, also a child lock, good for little ones who love to push buttons.
I have had the heater for approximately 3 months on 24/7 and my gas bill was so much lower tha...Read more

Worst heater ever
This is the worst heater I’ve ever had the misfortune of having!!! Worked for about 2 years which surprise surprise is when it’s ware ty ended and then it started with its gas warning problem like it seems everyone else’s problem. Don’t buy this heater, complete waste of money and you really will spend a lot of money trying to fix it which you can’t. I’m about to through it in the garbage where it belongs!!!!

Not a good heater
When heater is set on 5it takes about 4 hours to heat room. room size 16 x 14 feet.
I sit with a rug wrapped around myself.
The installers left a gas leak at the gas metre. Gas company came and fixed that.
The controls are difficult to see, need a torch .
Difficult to get a mannual none in the package, made 3 requests to supplier before I got i

Even comes with a warning sticker.thats
Had this heater installed to have a checkup done out of the blue about a month or two later from the installation company who put a sticker on it basically telling you you couldnt have any exhaust fans on in the house and had to have a window open in the room. As well as needing to install a carbon monoxide alarm in the room as our model had been found to have leaks.
Our heater struggles to heat a very small 3 bedroom house, and its pilot goes out consistently with no apparent reason.
As it is our heater is nearly impossible to light (was easy ...Read more

So far so good
I read some reviews online which are both negative and positive but I decided to take a punt on this anyway. I've been running it for the last 6 weeks and honestly it is a very warm heater that heats up both my living area and kitchen in around 10 minutes. It needs to be put on setting 4 (out of 7) in order to prevent the thermostat from cutting the heater in and out. 3 and below seems to be just too low a setting for it to stay on. One drawback is like others have said, yes it is a little loud when the boost kicks in but it doesn't stay on too long and isn't overly annoyingly loud but you know it's on. Overall a decent enough heater for the price ($1200) that does it's job.

Disappointed
Really really dissapointed with this heater. Didn't do my homework, big mistake. It is poor quality, no temp setting so just guess work, no fan control so it cuts in and out with a noisy high speed fan, and the room gets hot and cold. But the worst is it exacerbates my asthma. Might have past as a bottom of the range heater 25 years ago, so sorry I put this in my house.

almost impossible to restart
We have 2 units. One in the kitchen and one in the lounge room. First of all, if power goes out, you have to reignite it and it is almost impossible to restart the units. I have been working on kitchen unit for 2 days now and not a chance!. we gave up.
Also they are extremely noisy. We actually turn them all off to watch a movie.
I dont think we will use them again. we are looking for an alternative now. very very very disappointed..

Its been quiet and doing its job really well.
Great heater. Quiet and reliable! Not sure why everybody has been complaining about noise. Obviously if something is noisy it means you got a lemon that might have been damaged so get onto the warranty instead of complaining and giving bad reviews. I gave it 4 stars because heating the house is a bit of a mission obviously because its not a ducted system only a wall heater. I think if it had a stronger fan setting option the heat might actually make it down my hallway. Other then that its quiet and heats two thirds of the house. Awesome considering its a wall heater. Thanks Braemar

No problem Happy Camper, really appreciate you taking the time to give us this review and great advice on the benefits of a solid warranty. If only the hallway was not so long we would have got that fifth star! Thank you ~ Craig

Braemar wall furnace heater
Hi there my name is Janny and I live in a Dhs unit. Last week we had a new heater installed a Braemar wall furnace heater, I am not happy with it as the heater keeps switching on and off every 5 minutes or so and makes a horrible noise. Cheers Janny

Worst on the market.
This is the useless unit, the aussie govt is installling in dhs homes, aus wide. They literallly bought tens of thousands of these useless heater units.
Facts:
Elec "Apprentices" are installing.
Only heats room the heater unit sits in.
The whole unit rattles and vibrates whilst 'heating'.
Zero air direction control.
Zero fan control.
Zero heat control.
And shock horror.....They are all microchipped.
Purchased in June 2021 at Australian Government for A$1,500.00.

The heater does a good job of heating the room when it is working, however keeping it operating is an increasing problem.
The unit worked OK for the first two years although it was always noisy compared to the original wall furnace it replaced.
It progressively became more noisy during the second year, as we were travelling we did not get it repaired until the third year. The service provider replaced the fan under warranty.
We were away for the first month of winter, when we returned and needed the heater in earnest it began tripping on a regu...Read more

Now stays alight because of new gas metre outside
Had this heater installed last year was good for the year, but it’s now blasted hard to light put it on pilot light goes out, two days ago went out on temperature three now.
Rental had someone service the heater yeah blow vac and turned it on to see heat temperature from the bottom but wasn’t interested in finding out why it just cuts off most times I go to bed to stay warm at night at least my electric blanket still works, can’t even light it today

Loud and doesn’t heat consistently
Really loud and clunky, it cuts in and out often, so you’re either way too hot or just as you’re starting to feel warm off it goes and you’re suddenly cold again.
Worst heater I’ve ever had.

Happy with outcome
The reason I chose this unit was to replace my 30 year old Breamar wall furnace. I had the unit installed in August this year, and from the word go it made a terrible knocking noise which was a driving me crazy, I thought it might need to settle, but no such luck. I contacted Braemar and explain the situation. They got in contact with their local agent in my area Global Energy Services Moe, who came and checked it not once, not twice but at least four times to try to get to the source of the noise, but no luck, so they contacted their supervis...Read more
or and were advised to replace the wall furnace. I couldn't have asked for much better than that. The wall furnace was replace yesterday, and so far working beautifully - no knocking noises what soever. I am very pleased with the service I received from Braemar and Global Energy Services, they persisted until I was satisfied. I am very happy with the wall furnace, heats my house comfortably, and my sanity restored. Thank you Braemar.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
