    Terrible

    published

Just bought new Braemar WF 40 wall furnace to replace my 30 year old Vulcan 40. What a piece off junk. It isn't nearly a warm as my old one. Have to run it on 7 to get room slightly warm. Never ran old one over 3-4 on the coldest of days. Its noisy, turns off way to quickly, long before reaching a suitable temperature. Can see I will be wearing coats inside all winter. Cost $2400 so very disappointed. Cant afford to buy something else now and with 1 1/2 stars is going to be expensive to run. My old one wasn't expensive to run and was always warm and cosy inside.

    No Good !!

    published

Didn't purchase following 3 unfavourable reports regarding Braemar wall furnaces. A shame because we have one of their older models which has been fantastic but opinions advise that their newer models do not come up to standard. The main problem seems to be that it doesn't hold it's temperature and the pilot light keeps going out.

    Worst heater I've ever had

    published

I had to replace my old wall heater after it died and couldn't be repaired. I was convinced by a lovely salesperson that a Braemar WF40 would be the best heater I could get for my home - WRONG! This is the noisiest, poorest heating unit I have ever come across. The automatic fan only shuts off when it's on Pilot setting otherwise it's running full pelt continually, it heats about a 1.5 mts immediately in front of the unit only and then pushes a cold draught across the room like you are sitting in front of an open window in the middle of winter!! After sales service has been terrible - basically told there's nothing wrong with it and that's all there is to it, so like it or lump it.

HELP - WE had to replace our beautiful Vulcan wall heater which as far as I was concerned was working very well due to Carbon Monoxide problems- It was disconnected on the spot si I had no chance of getting another opinion. They put in a Braemar wd 30 /40 and the burning off smell is toxic. It has been running for 20 hours and it is no different. Ironically they replaced the other one as it may have killed me BUT THIS ONE is killing my throat and must not be good for my health. Can only run with all doors and windows open which is bloody pointless - Company can't come and look for another week - Is this common on these models / wall heaters. if it can't be fixed it will be replaced and certainly not with that model. Love to hear any suggestions?

Sorry, but we didn't finish up purchasing this model. Can't beat the Vulcan Quasar 40 in my opinion. Good luck !
