Was good but then crack in heat exchange
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000This was a great wall heater (very warm and heated rooms fast). However, we haven’t used it for 2 years (used another heating source) and I just had it serviced and the plumber has said we need to replace it as it has a crack in the heat exchange. We bought this heater 13.5 years ago, replacing a 40 year old wall heater. It hasn't been over used, nor treated badly, so I am not sure why it’s life span was so short. To only last less than 14 years is very disappointing. I won’t buy a Braemar product again.
Show detailsHi,
We pulled the heater out of the wall 2 weekends ago. So, no longer need it tested. Wish I’d got this info sooner as would have liked a second opinion, which may have allowed us to keep it. Alas, it’s too late now.
Hi Nat, sorry we didn't reach out to you sooner. It's possible that when the plumber serviced your old system he did a negative pressure test and found it wasn't suitable for repair anyway. Best of luck with your new heater.
Absolute rubbish
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000Replaced our old heater with theWF2000, it's noisy, hard to light when it goes out and the indicator never worked. The thermostat has gone again. That's one every 3 years. At $300 a time I'm not happy. Never needed to replace last one in 13 years. Wouldn't buy or recommend to anyone.
Show detailsHi, to avoid ongoing issues it's best to have your system regularly serviced (about every 2 years) by a Braemar qualified technician who will use genuine parts. You can find your nearest Braemar tech

Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000For the last two years, this equipment failed three times. The design is bad, the equipment is very unreliable. Plumbers can come in and fix things but the price we pay for such fixes does not make sense, noting how much the equipment costs.
Excellent service provided by Braemar
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000I can’t thank David Mitchell from Braemar enough for helping my 85 years old mother out. He went way beyond after a non braemer installer had given her grief. Davids team not only checked everything but followed up the following morning to make sure she was ok and happy with the way the heater was working and all out of the goodness of their hearts. ... thank you very much.

almost impossible to restart
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000We have 2 units. One in the kitchen and one in the lounge room. First of all, if power goes out, you have to reignite it and it is almost impossible to restart the units. I have been working on kitchen unit for 2 days now and not a chance!. we gave up.
Also they are extremely noisy. We actually turn them all off to watch a movie.
I dont think we will use them again. we are looking for an alternative now. very very very disappointed..
Its been quiet and doing its job really well.
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000Great heater. Quiet and reliable! Not sure why everybody has been complaining about noise. Obviously if something is noisy it means you got a lemon that might have been damaged so get onto the warranty instead of complaining and giving bad reviews. I gave it 4 stars because heating the house is a bit of a mission obviously because its not a ducted system only a wall heater. I think if it had a stronger fan setting option the heat might actually make it down my hallway. Other then that its quiet and heats two thirds of the house. Awesome considering its a wall heater. Thanks Braemar
Show detailsHad 2 of them, should have learnt by the first one, now going to by something that lasts and works
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000Very poor in all aspects and know of a couple of people with similar issues who have now removed them as I am doing, disappointed as you always give something a second chance
Show detailsHello not happy
Disappointing to hear that you have had issues with your purchase. If it is not too late we can look into what has gone wrong for you - if there was a problem with the unit's performa
Horrible and annoying. Never works
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000When its windy outside, its windy inside.
Heater will not stay on and barely heats up a small room.
Sometimes it will warm the room and turn off and on again.
Pilot light always turns off after 3 minutes of heating.
Its a massive unit
Its extremely lout and i cant hear the tv even when its turned up to max.
My tvs speakers are now blown bcos the heater is so loud and nothing can compete.
All in all id be happier and it would be more efficient to rip it off the wall and set fire to it to keep me warm as it would be warmer, quieter, a campfire in the loungeroom would take up less room and not look as ugly. I will never use this brand again and if someone wants to come get this crappy heater u can have it for free..
Good!!!!
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000Used it for soooo long.......never had any issues whatsoever, did a great job, kept us warm for over 10 years and only replaced to install a ducted heating. It is low maintenance, and safe for children and pets. Wish it was a bit smaller and compact but definitely looks better than some of the other monsters I've seen out there. Would highly recommend!!!!

WF2000 Gas Wall Furnace Heater
Gas Wall Furnaces Ecostar WF2000This is the worse heater I have ever come across. Loud turns on and off and the fumes. I am now suffering from rhinitis. How can anything like this be sold? I have been suffering for over 3 months. Disgraceful. I have only lived here for 9 months. I have never had this problem before. Doctor after Doctor, nasal sprays, antibiotics. The old space heaters are the best. I can't wait until this has been removed from my house.

Hi Mary, we recommend arranging a service call with Seeley International (manufacturer of Braemar products) so we can check if there are any issues with your heater. Please contact us on 1300 650 644 to make a booking.
Is there a way to fix the heater if there is a crack in the heat exchange or do we have to replace the heater completely? It’s only 13.5 years old.
Hi Natsmum, you will see I've also responded to your review on this product. There is a chance your unit can be repaired if it passes a negative pressure test. Please email us at [email protected] and provide your full name, contact details, address and serial number. We will then be able to arrange a service call to test your unit and possibly repair it for you.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Alas, we pulled the heater out 10 days ago. Decided not to replace it and use our reverse cycle instead. Definitely not as warm as the gas heater, but as we’d been quoted $3000 to replace it, chose to make more wall space and save that money.
Hi Nat, not a problem at all. Wish you all the best with your new system.
I'm renting a property with a braemer wall furnace. My teenager was asked to turn it off today and turned it all the way off.
The function know is very worn and I don't know where to position the know to relight the pilot.
Can anyone help?
I think you would turn it to pilot and press the red knob a few times till you hear it light up.
Except there is no indication where 'pilot' is. No writing or symbols. It has all worn off. I have a green line on the knob, the knob shape its self and a black line someone has drawn on the area around the knob.
