19 questions from our users
I had turned lt on many times, but struggled a lot. Four days ago my child turned heater's power switch off accidentally. Since then we kept trying to turn it again, but failed. I followed all the instructions written on the heater. But useless. Can anyone advise me how to turn it on again. Thanks
The gas control knob has jumped up out of its position. How to get it down so I can turn my heater on?
I'm having trouble lighting the pilot light. I have the power connected. Any tips would be great thank you.
Turn the knob to the spark symbol, hold it down for a few seconds and press the igniter button a few times until the metal arrow on the pilot indicator is in the red.
Special note: when you want to t...

We have had a Braemar WF 30 installed. Wondering if there is a replacement for the front vent as mine is not directional it blows the hot air straight in to my cold glass sliding doors. My old one which was replaced was directional.
Pls advise me how to stop the rattling coming from inside my Breamar wall heater.
Only thing that stops mine from rattling is by giving it a good whack on the front or side. Not ideal to be banging on my heater, but so far it’s the only thing that seems to stop the incessant rattling…drives me insane!
I have a Braemar wall heater in my lougeroom, model:WF2000-30N, it’s awesome, the best heater I’ve ever had. I have been here for 12months & the Braemar heater is still new, my Braemar has one niggling irritating hipcup, whenever it’s windy the interior flue rattles pls reply to assist. Regards Gregory Currie
Perhaps yours is a better model than the one I have. I have reviewed the Ecostar WF30 and like many other owners, I am very disappointed.
It’s a great heating system but it’s quite expensive to run, but the interior flue l believe flue is a air duct (flut, exhaust shoute) is so frustrating. I am unable to remove housing & am good banana’s, disappointed isn’t appropriate furious!!!
I have a WF2000 30N installed and it has a rear vent. It really doesn’t heat the second room properly and so I want to change it to be just the main room, without a rear vent and we’ll heat that room separately. How easy it is to do this? The serial number starts with W130.
Same issue, rear vent into other room ZERO air control. Zero temp control. Worst unit on the market.
Hello HeatO
It depends on the installation type that you have and what rear vent setup the installer has chosen. Normally there is a central lever on the vent that will close the vanes and therefore b...
I can't seem to get the pilot to light no matter how many times I press the piezo button. The little marker inside the control panel moves a little bit from red to green but I'm not convinced it is lit. Can't hear any flame, when I turn the volume knob I get a click as though a thermostat is clicking on or off but no whoosh sound of gas lighting up or sign it is lit. How do I confirm pilot is lit?
Some others say you have a rod type of thermostat external to the base but I can't see that either. My landlord says $150 for a service call, doesn't seem fair. I don't think it has ever worked.
It's a WF30 NG by the way, only made 2 years ago.
Hi Helping Hand,
Thanks for raising a question on Product Review for our product. Please give our helpful service center a call on 1300 650 644 and they will be able to walk through the issue with you....
Read more Thank you.Hi Helping Hand, this happened to me the other day, but it was my fault, I forgot to switch the power on at the wall, once I did that, I was able to ignite the pilot light.
Hope this helps.
Hi, I bought a wall furnace in August 2016 and was wondering how long is the warranty good for. Colleen
Hi, got the Bateman wall furnace installed today. How long does it take to burn off that plastic new smell.
It’s hurting my throat and having sinus problems while it’s on? Lot of money out payed for something that could potentially harm my health?

This product when operating sounds like there is water dripping I have had Seeley here to check it said 'that is how they are' I am so disappointed. Has anyone else experienced this also does anyone have another brand of wall furnace?
We have a WF30 and very disappointed.
It never seems to give out direct heat, but blows cold air.
We go to bed now to keep warm
I have my fan on auto and it doesn't seem to turn off. Any help?
My Vulcan heater - heated my home really well - was replaced because my plumber said it was dangerous due to its age. He replaced it with a Braemar wall furnace WF 30/40. Just realised its 2 star which is disappointing. Can't understand why he didn't choose a better one for me. I used it late last week for the first time due to a cold spell. It kicked out a lovely heat for 2 nights. Then I turned off the power point Saturday night not realising I shouldn't do that. I turned the power point back on the next night. The pilot light is on red - ie it's on, the knob turns easily anticlockwise, the power point works fine yet I can get no heat even after waiting 2 hours for the fan to turn on. It's freezing in my house tonight and I've had a go to bed to keep warm. Hope these's a simple solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi Ann, I am not an expert but I have an opinion :)
The pilot light display has a small silvery needle that moves between ON and Off depending on your pilot light. You need to check for that needle o...
Thanks so much Lance. I got the installer to come here today and you're right - the pilot light was OFF. It's hard to see the silvery needle on my model as its in poor light plus I was looking at the ...
Read moredisplay without my glasses, And yes red for ON is misleading. The info re 2 star is extremely helpful and has put my mind at rest. I have no issue with the sound of the fan - being hearing impaired has some advantages.Cheers to Lance ... I was confused by that pilot indicator too. (I thought the red / green should move... yeah, I know, I'm a dill.)
Now I know to look for the silvery needle (It's hard to see it without a torch) ... problem solved. :)
Hi my fan on Braemar FW30 is quite loud is this normal?
Based on all the reviews I've read so far, the majority of responses fall within the 'Yes it's bl--dy loud' category.

I'm sorry l have no idea why it is doing this. I turn my heater on and it works Perfectly. Fan cuts in and out with thermostat control. You should never use your hand. You will need to speak with company for advice.
Hi mine did work perfectly too I have been speaking to company i dont think they know . I didn't want to know how yours worked ?? well just if anybody had the same problem
I just had my 4 star wall heater that was slightly faulty and due for a service, replaced (to my horror) with a braemar wf 30 (2 star) wall heater. Apart from headache i got from the gas filling our lounge, and the plumbers simply putting a metal sheet over the hole in the wall instead of replastering, the heater has a copper wire hanging from underneath. The plumber said it was a thermastate and cant be covered with anything, he said it was installed to regulation standards. Ive never seen anything like it. Would appreciate any knowledge about this wire.
Whist we didn't finish up buying this product, our previous wall heater had a copper wire as part of the installation but it was all connected and contained inside the pull-down door/flap at the front...
Read more, there was nothing hanging down outside the unit. why would you have an exposed thermostat wire??? do not understand that. As for the metal sheet I'm sorry I can't help with that as we never had that issue. Thanks, the trademen insisted that it cannot be inside a covering when i questioned them about the exposed wire. I knew it was odd, but there are 2 tradesmen verses myself. They were also very rude. W...

Read moreter being smaller than the one that got removed. This is a part commonly used to save the owner the trouble of hiring a plasterer and painter to cover the leftover opening. Typically the onus would be on you to get any patching done after installation and you could still choose to do this and remove the plate. No tradesman covers this sort or repair as part of their appliance installation. If the unit is actually leaking gas you should get them back immediately and turn the pilot light off . Are you sure it is leaking gas and not just emitting a "burning in" smell? This smell is normal in new heaters for the first couple of times a heater is used. If you are sure it is gas and they won't come back then you should call someone else to inspect it, get a report, fix the issue, and take the matter further.Hello.
