The best coffee machine
I love this coffee machine- I got it for Christmas 2 Year’s ago- and can honestly say it’s still awesome. Semi self cleaning and self tamping. The shots come out perfectly. I don’t find much different in the cappuccinos or lat’e setting. We had a problem just the other day with steam coming out the bottom of the machine- took it to the authorised repair place in Ballarat( they are great to deal with by the way) it has a broken steam inlet valve. A credit to Breviile- who I rang - and they have their own customer service team just for the oracle machine. They have honoured the warranty even though it is out by a few weeks. So to re cap- great machine, good service product back up and awesome care from Breville.

Awesome Cafe Quality Coffee
This machine allows us to have cafe quality coffee in the comfort of our own home, with minimal fuss. So a quick morning coffee is so easy and with the auto tamping and milk temp settings I don't need a course to get a great tasting coffee and I can use none dairy milks.
The white glove service (WA rep was great) really helps to get you familiar with the machine.
Now I just need to learn how to do the art.

Awesome real coffee
The coffee is actually better than the coffee shops. And easy as to use and clean really worth the money our own barista right at home In our kitchen. Worth every penny wish we had bought one sooner plus lovely Emily came to our home and gave us lessons and perfected our machine well done Breville

How do you run the descale cycle on the 990 machine? I open the descale with a screw driver. Now what?
1 answer
I simply ran the descale clean cycle after selecting it in settings.
However I only use filtered water in the machine and our water in Auckland, NZ is not very hard, so descaleing isnt much of a problem here.

I cannot remove the grinding parts for cleaning, cannot turn to unlock, is jammed solid. Do not want to force it.

Ok so time for an update review. It’s the new year 2022. The coffee machine has stopped working effectively again. No milk texture at all..Off to the authorised repair place - which is an hour away - ... Read more
to go with the repair place that is authorised to repair this machine - the last place we took it to-which was also a repair place -but not preferred oracle - took 4 weeks! So far the new place has had it for a week. Rang and informed me - 2 x solenoids have gone in switch and pump, steam wand needs replacing & seals around the pump are leaking. The tidy sum of $650!! Considering it was looked at and fixed in Dec 2017 - just over a year I would not expect problems so soon. I’m not sure I will buy this brand again - whilst I was dropping off the machine another guy was picking his 1 year old oracle up and complaining that he shouldn’t have issues this soon. My hubby likes the fact that its easy to use - I would prefer a manual machine that has less parts to break down. Next time it stops working will probably be its last!
