When something goes wrong they disappear
Timber FlooringMy experience with carpet call was ok. We bought very high quality flooring. The sales rep was good until I needed something fixed that we were not happy with. Never returned calls or helped us contact installer. It was something minor to repair on our skirting boards that they installed. Still not repaired ended up giving up and still not fixed ! Disappointed to not have a minor detail sour our experience. Would I recommend probably not

Timber FlooringI went in the Moore Park Supa Centa store and asked about taking out the existing carpet and installing timber flooring at my apartment unit. I organised a measure and quote for the next day and when it was done, I paid my deposit ($2,700) on the day via credit card. The installation was booked in for approximately a month down the track when the popular stock I bought would have been delivered from elsewhere.

Realising Carpet Call is such a big franchise it wouldn’t have messed up such a big transaction and because I have not checked the credit card statement for my first credit card, I gave the store my other credit card to bill me for the deposit. I paid $2,700 that day. For completeness sake I went and checked the credit card statement for my first credit card and to my surprise, the first transaction has gone through - this means I have now paid $5,400 for my deposit. I called the store and it took them about two weeks (after constant follow ups from my end) to tell me that they have indeed received a total of $5,400 from me. They were telling me the accounting department in Victoria stuffed it up, but this was only after I made numerous phone calls to different departments of theirs chasing up an answer myself, as it appears that they don’t talk to one another. After finally getting the receipt for my $5,400 payment, this first issue was put to bed. A week before my scheduled installation, I called the store to find out the logistics and to see what else was required from me. The contact person at the store told me I have to reschedule my installation or re-select products. I asked why, he couldn’t give me an explanation at first and told me he would get back to me. After numerous phone calls (initiated on my end), they finally decided to break the news to me - my stock was in one of the containers that fell into the sea off Port Stephens! I was skeptical of the timing of things, so I went and checked the news and discovered it has indeed happened. However, it happened well over 2 weeks before I made the call to follow up on my installation, and I never got any call or email about it. I had to constantly chase up for an update on the delivery of my stock and the installation. Mind you, I have already made plans to go around the proposed installation date, and because this couldn’t go as planned, I had to make alternative arrangements. They offered me an apology and after I insisted on the products I chose previously, they eventually locked in another installation date, three weeks down the track. Second issue was put to bed. Two days before my second proposed installation date ( a Friday), I got a call and was told that my stock could not arrive in time, so they asked that I reselect the installation date or reselect stock. I was already extremely frustrated because of all the hiccups along the way, but realising I have to again make the compromise either way, I moved the installation date to the next day (Saturday), which meant I have to again do last minute changes to my plans for those two days, missing out on my other commitments etc.Dear Clement,

Started with problems but ended up ok
Timber FlooringQuote was completed for new kitchen floor which initially appeared straight forward. We later discovered several important items were left out. On day floor was to be layed despite assurances never got a call to confirm time. After several calls layer arrived but had the wrong work order. Then had to make numerous calls to reschedule but found this difficult as several promises to return calls never eventuated. Difficulties in getting flooring completed - resolved
Timber FlooringFollowing difficulties with my new floating timber flooring (and paying for more wood than I needed), the store has refunded the cost of the wood that was not used, so I've changed my rating. So while the experience was not as easy as I hoped, it has been rectified.
