catchconnect mobile good coverage but cannot see usage on the website
so far there has been no dropout but this is the only company i have been with where you cannot see usage on the website. i like to see who i avhe called and when i have used data when loggin in on computer it is impossible wiht catchconnect. for the money they are charging they should avhe all the bells and whistles.i wont renew.

Attempted to fraudulently charge me
Triple checked to ensure that I had cancelled automatic recharge, and what do you know at the end of my period, they attempt to charge me. Fortunately I had just recently cancelled my card as my dog chewed it but I was furious ofcourse. So I got to my account to check how long is left on my other plan when it wont let em access my account until I give them my payment details. I already paid for the service and they tried to charge me again without autorization and now they won't let me access my account to see any of my details about my ongoing...Read more

I told her that is not what I wanted and enquired to her about the fraudulent nature of the business and as to why they attempted charge me, she responded to every question I had by copy and pasting her previous message. Be aware !!! Completely Crap Service
Poor network and awful service. No transparency, no accountability and their sim won’t even work most of the time. Don’t waste your money and time guys. Spare yourself, they won’t help you with any issues.

Support refuses to help
BEWARE: Support team are useless and have no power/authority to action anything. When I attempted to change my details, I got an error: "There was a problem deleting your payment method". Support refused point-blank to help, said "We can't do anything to fix this error, it just happens sometimes, just keep retrying" and refused to resolve the error from their end. Going to TIO for help.

We husband and wife were using prepaid catch connect but unfortunately I lost my phone and sim obviously as it was inside the phone on Wednesday or Thursday and I ask them for replacement sim as early as possible because it was very urgent situation as I was expecting phone interview on Monday... e also I asked for refund for my remaining credits so that I can go to new provider but they said No again... Everytime No so they name should be No not catch connect. ... Due to that I did everything but Noone listened me and I switch to another portal for the time being and I gave interview...... But when I receive my replacement sim after edges next week I cal them to activate my catch connect sim as it was prepaid there was remaining credits of around 100 dollar but they said because I changed provider they cannot activate my sim and they took my all credits and I talked to all of them including [Name Removed] but they said he cannot do anything and took my money...... Guys don't make mistake like me going for cheap service like catch connect.... It did not value me as a customer I am pretty sure it can happen to anyone.... No MMS
Since signing up with catch my wife's and my phone cannot receive/send SMS MMS? Called tech support a few times and they say it's our phones! It's not, we had no such problem with Kogan Mobile. Now kicking myself I went CHEAP! Catch tech support have no idea how to rectify problems and have the standard reply of "nothing wrong with our sim it's a problem with you phone". We'll be changing service provider soon. Catch is the worst of a bad bunch here in Australia's 3rd world internet system.

If you want to port in from another supplier, Don't Use Catch
It has been more than 24 hours since I ported in from Optus. Disconnected from Optus and still have no service from CatchConnect. I still have no mobile service when I am writing this review.
Contacted CatchConnect 3 times, nothing they can do except ask me to wait for 24 - 48 business hours. And of course, they don't know the progress of the resolution. Extremely poor customer service.
Anyone want to port-in from another provider, please do not use CatchConnect.

This has been a really good experience!
I have been with catch connect twice now for 3 months each time. Never had any issues. Great service, quick turn around on SIM and set up and easy to turn off recharge and use dashboard. Absolutely no complaints and cannot understand other people's complaints. The price of their start up deals are second to none. Just wish i had signed up for a year and not just 3 months!

Cheap price BUT cheap product and BAD SERVICE!
As they say .... you get what you pay for. I changed providers because Catch Connect offered cheaper mobile plans. It has been over 1 yr and I haven't been able to receive MMS at all. The Tech dept (if that's what you call them) kept saying that it was my phone which had the problem. At first, I believed them since I was only using a Samsung Galaxy s5, however, I still had the same issue after buying a Samsung Galaxy s10 about a month ago. g wrong with their sim card and told me to contact Samsung to resolve the issue. I immediately ported my number to another carrier and once I activated the new provider's sim, I was able to receive MMS!! From my experience with CC, their mobile service is very badly run and organised. They have only a limited number of staff looking after their operation - whenever you call their support centre, you always nearly speak to the same person. Their "tech" dept is nearly non-existent. They never reply unless you follow up with a few calls. Save yourself from frustration ... DON'T sign up with Catch Connect. I would NEVER recommend Catch Connect to anyone!!Similar opinion? Awful customer service and faulty phone service
My husband and I activated our Catch SIMs at the same time in our similar model phones, which we have used previously without a problem. His worked perfectly from the start. Mine did not register at all and I had zero connection of any kind. Upon contacting Catch they told me I was in a black spot. After pushing the fact that my husband's worked perfectly right at the side of mine, they sent me a replacement SIM, which only half worked. g the black spot point, and my husband's still works fine and we have both happily used Catch SIMs before, so that clearly is not the problem. Today they washed their hands of it. I have spent so much time over the past week and half on the phone and the customer service web chat, just trying to get my SIM to work, I have been patient with them so for them to just fob me off today, I am livid. The first SIM didn't work at all. The second SIM half works. I would have tried a third (that's how patient I am!) but they said they can't do that, there's nothing more they can do, and their Tech Support don't want to hear anything because they have deemed me in a black spot. Horrible customer service when their product is faulty. Not good enough Catch. Never again will I use this company. ** EDIT. I reported them to the telecommunications ombudsman who gave them 12 days to find a solution. In that time I rang Optus tech staff and checked their website, who all confirmed that coverage at my address is good. Today I got my response from Catch - still saying I live in a black spot. Generally good.. But!
I enjoyed the service even if it was lacking on an app to check your data usage. But then it was time for me to port my number over to a better deal. Unfortunately that became the sticky part a d caused unnecessary wasting of my time let alone the person who tried assisting in a failed porting of my number. My date of birth did not match the data systems of my current provider Catch Connect. Catch connect did not have my date of birth entered as apparently they are meant to. Obviously this is being used for cross matching and porting your number over.
New Customers. Watch this and insist your date of birth is recorded or you will experience porting difficulties i have

Terrible service for replacement sim
Was enjoying their service, and then lost my SIM card and needed to get a replacement. Spoke to their online chat who dispatched a sim and said it would arrive within 10 business days, but it never showed up. Spoke to their online chat again, who agreed to have a sim dispatched express post and said it would arrive in the next 3 business days.
I have asked for the tracking information every day since the sim was dispatched and I've been informed that the support team will be in contact with me. It's now been 4 business days and I still have no SIM, and no tracking information to let me know if/when it will arrive.

I would like to raise an issue that my 35-40GB (a prepaid plan with CatchConnect) were used up within an hour or so by someone else. It is definitely not myself as the sim was in a very basic phone at that time and left untouched. My Plan credit expired on 1 Mayember 2022, that prevented me from replying to an sms on 2 Mayember in the process of porting my number from Catch Connect to another provider. advising that my data were used up. I logged on and check my account, the expiry date was changed to 2 Mayember. This is very suspicious. Please Catch Connect to investigate the issue or raise a warning message. Last month, I had also another bad experience with Catch Connect. It appeared that my phone was hacked through a Catch Connect sim, I saw many .bin files in my phone every time I used banking apps, so that I have uninstalled them all and dont know what are solutions to clean my phone, although I have reset the phone to factory reset. I have text and email messages as evidence for short time usage of my data up to 35GB, if requested. Catch Connect supervisor has been looking at the issue. Hope they have a solution to ensure the security of the sim. I would rate them 5* if the security is resolved.1 comment

The got my credit card number but their system reject me to register for the services
Insert a couple of my credit cards number (and also my debit card number) but get rejection for registering the sim card. Its said your credit card is error/invalid. I think they just want to stole my money from my debit/credit card

Poor internet
Internet wont work at all. If it does work will only be for few mins. Do not buy this. Get a boost with Telstra network or Kogan mobile. So disappointed I opted for annual service. Fix your crappy service and internet.

Great price, no lacking any feature I needed
The fact that Catch connect rates are much lower than the big telcos, I would cut some slack, but the fact is that living and mostly on a metropolitan area, the signal works fine for me, their internet portal has the basics features to control your usage, recharge etc.. suits me well.
Both my wife and my mobiles were switched to Catch for over 3 months now and haven't had any problem
The only query I had was solved by contacting them via web chat on their portal so no waiting on a telephone, which again, suits me.

Help themselves to your credit card then hold your number hostage
I bought a prepaid 12 mth sim, 12 mths later they took another $300 out of my account without warning and topped it up another 12mths, I contacted about this and did not authorize, so they have disconnected and held my number of 20yrs hostage, I cannot port it to another phone company and have made over 50 calls and texts to catch without resolution.... stay away from this rip off company

Extremely disappointed and frustrating experience with catchconnect
Worst experience ever had with a mobile service provider, cut my service without notice, not able to update my credit card over the phone, left with no options and no connection, help does nothing!

Terrible Customer Service - do not go with this company
I was sent 3 x emails at exactly the same day/time notifying me "Data Consumed was 50%, 85%, 100%" . I asked for extra data as it was their faulty system and was told by 2 people its in the contract 'dont rely on notifications'. I had 2 days left and no consideration/ extra data given in lieu of their systems mistake. No flexibility. One bad experience and many people hear about it...

I never got connection enough to find out. I couldn't receive calls or send or make texts, for the 3 weeks that I complained, until eventually the ombudsman pressured them into refunding me. Then they only wanted to refund the pro rata rate - in other words, charge me for the three weeks of complaints because of no connection. Back to the ombudsman who has made them refund me completely. What a waste of time and energy trying Catch Connect
