Fantastic
I was the receiver and my package arrived quickly to Australia in perfect condition. The customer service and help I received prior to my package shipping was exceptional. I have used comegateway several times and can highly recommend them, extremely courteous profession service. Thank you.

Great customer support, consistently excellent.
I have used several different shipping forwarding services, and honestly, with a few exceptions, most have been ok. However, comGateway have set themselves apart in several ways. First, they have excellent customer service, and good prices. The live chat staff are always helpful and friendly, and I have not yet had an item that could not be shipped. Most important of all, their repackaging service is excellent - items have always been packed sensibly and carefully, and it is such a relief to be able to trust that my items will arrive in one pieces. Two thumbs up, highly recommended.

Great service With one box
I love the one box option. This allows me to get multiple packages consolidated into one box for easy management of the delivery. Amazon often split items into separate packages so this is a great option for international shipping.

Essential for buying from the US
For things I cannot buy in Australia, this is fantastic option. Extremely reliable and my last package actually arrived ahead of date initially quoted. Also, they handle the GST so keeps the govt. on side. Repeat user and very happy.

Item was delivered in a timely manner with no problems
Item was delivered in a timely manner with no problems. Happy with the service. The set up is quite efficient, user friendly, with helpful videos to instruct you. Whilst it doesn't seem cheap, it was the cheapest option I could find.

ComGateway is the "only" way we access the US market. Great value, great service.
Simply put this is a great service, I have used this for my family and for car parts etc etc.
In relation to quoted prices from suppliers in US which are expensive Comgate is a service worth its value

The only way to enjoy Amazon
Once I started do shop on Amazon I found out that not everything would be delivered to Australia. Then you find out that there is companies who can give an address in the US. Which one do you choose ? I asked a friend who I knew he was always buying from the US and he said comGateway. I asked why them he replied lower sales tax in that state and good service. That night I got on to them signed up and did my first purchase from Amazon that was going through them. There customer service is what you expect that everyone is but unfortunately that d...Read more
oesn't happen. It did happen with them they told me exactly what their procedures are, were to go to track my order and it worked out a treat. I received my emails when the parcel left my address over there when it was out of their airspace, when it landed in Australia and when to expect delivery and if I was not home a safe place for the courier to leave. When I receive my first parcel it was like I can purchase whatever I want. Which is a bit scary when you realise that this is going to get expensive. But if you are smart it doesn't they have good rates they will minimise if they can the amount of parcels when they repack and if you use their services they offer especially buy for me which I used and I try to use as much as I can there is nothing that can't be delivered. I was lucky that I happened to ask someone who was using them, and I don't intend to go anywhere else. Between the sales you get from the likes of Amazon and everyone else plus the special offer through comGateway I won't even change to Amazon Australia because I get better deals through both. Try it because if you find that it's not what I said it was or doesn't meet your expectations it doesn't cost nothing to leave1 comment

Used to be good. They're cutting costs. Avoid.
I've used them for years, they used to use DHL to ship to Australia, now they use Fedex via Honolulu. Its slower. They also used to ship immediately, now it seems you have to wait a few days for the item to even be picked up. They are probably trying to ship in bulk lots rather than immediately. It would be fine if they advertised a medium speed service, but they don't. This is on their fastest level, prime, its advertised as 4-5 days. 8 is a realistic number.

Nope nope nope
Ahhhh comGateway. Where do I start?
I received an email from them offering me 15% off shipping for the month of April. I had had my eye on a tiny, portable router that I wanted for travel, but it was only available at this stage in the US, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to grab it. The router cost $59USD.
The item arrived at my mailbox, I went to ship it, and I nearly had a heart attack at the price. They wanted $74USD ($106AUD) to ship it to me. One hundred and six dollars. For a tiny 400 gram item. I nearly had a heart...Read more
attack. The "shipping component" was only about 25$, but then there is the "fuel surcharge", the "lithium ion battery" surcharge, the "remote area" surcharge (despite living in the second largest city in the state), and of course "fees and taxes" (which appeared to be twice as high as they should be). Oh well, all is not lost. I still have this code for 15% off shipping right? Well, sort of. Quite deceptively, it only applies to the base shipping cost, so really, you save absolute **** all. I tried using their live chat, repeatedly, to talk to someone about the charges. But despite it saying that they are "online", there was never anyone to talk to. I ended up sending them an email about the charges. Surely they can't be right. I got an email back a day later basically saying; "yes these charges are all valid. Suck eggs. We look forward to serving you in the future!" Oh boy. In addition they clarified for me that the fees and taxes were higher than 10% of the item, because the 10% GST is applicable to the value of the item + the shipping cost (so essentially, the higher they crank up the shipping cost, the more tax you pay). In addition, in this subcategory of charges, they also include a 5% "administration fee" (unlike eBay, or Amazon, or, well, anyone really). So keep in mind the 10% GST is actually 15% with these guys. At this point, what do you do? You've basically got a gun to your head, because you can't keep arguing with them back and forth, because you will run out of days of free storage and have to start paying even more. Also, the 15% off will end, so the meagre $4 saving from that would be gone also. So your choices are discard the item and lose the $59 USD you paid for it, pay additional money for them to send it back to Amazon and hope you can get your money back, or bite the bullet and pay their extortionate shipping fees. After a little research, I found that there are sellers on ebay that will ship this exact same item for as low as $27.34 (excluding tax). Obviously I understand that comGateway adds a margin because they are a business and that's why they exist. But this instance was just extreme, and the complete unwillingness to compromise just ticked me off.1 comment

No longer GST exempt
I have been using ComGateway for about 18 months now, purely for business shipments. We purchase a number of parcels form all over the US, have then shipped to their warehouse, and on to us. We are a GST exempt business, and when the rules changed on July 1st 2018, ComGateway allowed us to have the parcels shipped to us in Australia, GST exempt. For those how don't know how GST exempt works, basically we don't pay GST on any imports, because we are not the end user, we resell these items in Australia, and then charge GST to customer/end user, a...Read more
nd pass this on to the ATO. In the past, I had to argue with ComGateway to honour the GST exempt, which they finally did. They advised me that our account will be noted that we are GST exempt, and all future shipments will not incur the GST. All I need to do, was contact customer service and advise them before each shipment. So, over the course of the last few weeks, I had made all my orders with suppliers, and had these shipped to their warehouse, and I notified ComGateway that I have a shipment ready, and to please proceed without the GST, as per their promise. After a number of emails back and fourth, ComGateway have decided that they will no longer honour this, and I must pay all GST on the shipment, or any future shipments. No one informed me of this, no email, call etc of their changes. The GST amount is about $3500 USD - not a small amount. I also need to pay this on a credit card with crappy bank exchange rates. ComGateway are now advising that i will need to apply for a GST refund/reimbursement. Do I trust a company I don't know with $3500 USD of my money? Will the ATO refund this? To add to this, ComGateway are charging me $100 USD insurance on this shipment, when we already have insurance. I am very frustrated with the service from Comgateway and I certainly will not be using them in the future.2 comments

Long term user, convenient and easy to use. Exceptional customer service
With in-laws overseas and an expat american spouse I spend my life ferrying goods between the US and Australia. The standard big-box retailers and shopping sites often don't honor discounts or promotions once the shipping destination is set to outside the USA. Using my comGateway address and paypal i'm able to access those promotions, bundle the goods together and have them reshipped quickly and easily. I commonly use it with Eddie Bauer, GAP, Old Navy, Kohl's and Amazon.
It's become even more important since Amazon changed the available c...Read more

Shipped me goods from the USA - effortless!!!
I have had a great experience with this company. I had five parcels sent from different USA retailers (eg DVD, jeans from GAP, Christmas ornaments, medical supplies) to the comgateway address. For the websites that wouldn't accept Australian credit card (like GAP) I used their "Buyforme" service which was excellent (and was able to use promo code). I also used their repack service (they consolidated all the packaging to reduce shipping costs). Their customer service team were excellent on email. My box was shipped out to me and arrived very quickly via DHL. Very happy!

Okay - quite expensive
I bought some products from Amazon and sent them to the Oregon address to be reshipped to Australia. They used DHL and the shipping was quite fast - 5 days but was much more expensive than advertised. Although it was really fast I paid much more than I wanted to.

Used to be better
Have been using comGateway for the past 4-5 years ... back in the day when i just started to use comGateway they were really good everything nicely packed when there's a repackaging option and standard shipping wasn't that expensive. I had my last delivery arrived today ... got charged $7 for repackaged but seriously they just made the box smaller and put all the beauty items that I purchased without wrapping some of them were shattered. This time is so disappointed ... have to try other company.

Insanely Expensive Service and Slow
I had a mobile phone replacement battery and holder ($20 and 500g weight) delivered to the comgateway.com address in Oregon, USA for forwarding to Australia.
Standard shipment to Australia was au$ 50!! It took 2 weeks.
I recently had a friend send me something similar from the USA for all of AU$ 20 by standard mail.
