We have inherited a Dishlex DSF6106W dishwasher. I always used to rinse well when using our previous Asko dishwasher and ran it on a glass cycle so that the glasses didn’t get scratched. As I am unfamiliar with this dishwasher can you advise me as to what cycle won’t scrach the glasses please?

I have had no problems with this on either this or a similar Dishlex in a previous house. I generally use the Eco setting, with wine glasses held in the dedicated fold out racks and normal glasses on the upright folded pins centre top rack. I have not had any scratching and do not hear the glasses being jostled around by the rotating spray arm

Sorry I can't offer any constructive ideas.
Sounds like what my one did. the service guys said it was the mother board in the electronics and part with labour
would be close to new price. Against my principles it went to the tip to be replaced by another brand.
This seems to be a too common occurrence which I have expressed to Electrolux who import dishlex dishwashers

Can the water inlet hose be removed from the back of the dishwasher, and if so how?

I honestly can’t tell you. When installing the dishwasher I noticed that the hose terminated inside the rear cover and so could not see the hose attachment point. It should be possible from a maintenance point of view to access the attachment point. All I can suggest is to have a look at one on the floor in The Good Guys or other retailer to check for access. Sorry I can’t be of any more help.

Yes, the hose would be removable so that it can be replaced if necessary. You will need to access the rear of the dishwasher and follow the hose where it connects. It will have a clamping arrangement where it fits to the inlet valve, probably a wire spring style clamp. Compress this clamp with a pair of suitable pliers and move it along the hose. You should be able to then remove the hose by twisting and pulling it off the valve. Before you do this ensure you have turned the water supply off at the other end of the hose. Also have an old towel ready to sop up the water spillage. Hope this helps you.

My dishwasher is intermittently buzzing, quite loud like a warning buzzer it does this on a cycle and when switched off ?????????
Weird but true

Very unusual if making a noise when switched off. I would first check that the filter and large filter plate in the bottom of the dishwasher are seated correctly. If this is not the problem, pull the dishwasher out from under the bench and run it again in that position, which may allow you to get closer to the noise and identify the culprit. If then there is no noise it could have been either of the hoses or electrical connection cable resonating against something. Hope these suggestions may help.

I find two rinse aid dispenser receptacles in the dishwasher. I am not what are these used for. i.e. for putting liquid dishwashing liquid in the large container and a tablet in the small container. What are the four settings in the small container?

Big dispenser on left for tables and one on right for rinse aid or I use brown vinegar in there all the time just as good

The larger receptacle is for dishwashing detergent or tablets. The smaller receptacle is for rinse aid. Also the small white pointer/ knob is to adjust the rinse aid volume you wish to use, start with the smallest and adjust if you need to. Hope this has been helpful.

Hi George.
Dishlex is part of the Electrolux Group and manufactured in Australia until 5 years ago. Electrolux manufacture in Europe, USA, and China and one report said Dishlex was made in Europe. Their basic instructions are printed in 32 languages so there you have it. Robt3.

The end light is flashing stopping me from starting the load. It flashes on and off 12 times stops and does it again. Powder and rinse aid are in. Dial is turned to program I want to use. The only other light showing is the on/off indicator. I've cleaned the filter in the drain. Nothing seems wrong with the pipe under the sink. Tap is in usual position. Any help would be most appreciated? Jane

Press the 2 buttons together and this will stop the programme turn back to off than start again.

Hi Jane. .I suggest you turn the programme switch off then switch the dishwasher off at the power point, all this if the first post doesn't work. Leave the power off for a few minutes to allow the dishwasher to reset itself, then start again. Good luck Rob T

Did you get a plumber to install it if you did call them if not I would get one to come out to see what your problem is don’t try to fix yourself due to warranty let a professional look at it and they will tell you if it’s faulty

Did you leave it finish the cycle? I found out myself, that, if I open it before finishes the cycle, the next load won't start. I turn it on and leave it to complete the previous cycle and Then it is ready to be set on for the next cycle. I hope I was a bit helpful to your answer.

Hi there! I've moved into a new house with this dishwasher installed. I've tried a few cycles and there is always little buts of food left on plates. Also there is a small pool of water in the white little sink, which is under the silver grill and grey filter. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for tips.

Hi, I changed to a different cycle, changed my dishwashing tablets and most importantly kept the filter clean. I also deferred to a dishwasher repair person to check it out. I’m not an expert just a consumer who tried a few things out themselves. If you’re not sure calla repair person. NB: I’m just a consumer

try cleaning the spray arms,
it is normal for dishwashers to leave water at the bottom
try powders and different tablets as well. I recommend Fairy or Aldi.

I have one of these which was installed about 12 months ago.
This morning the pump activated of its own volition - door was open and no cycle on. We were in bed.
The only way to get it off was to turn the power off at the wall.
Does anyone have any quick answers on this. I checked the trouble shoot manual but no reference to this there.
Tried to do a cycle but no response.
Is there some kind of a reset on this?
