Our dishwasher tries to pump out but it sounds like an airlock happens &/or a stopper of some sort blocks the drain.
The bottom right hand light flashes. Any ideas?

I've not had a problem yet with this dishwasher !! How about running the machine through with nothing in it !! Also many years ago with my 1st Dishlex I had a problem a bit like that and it just wouldn't wash !! Got technician out and he told me the problem was using supermarket brand dishwashing powder ! He recommended using Finish only ! Since then I've never used anything else but that and I've never had any problems ! I'm now onto my 3rd machine but that's over 30 years and moving houses !! Hope this helps
I only ever use Finish & have not had a problem with my previous Dishlex or this until now. Have run it with nothing in it & a cleaner but to no avail.

lI recently bought a dishlex last week, and the plastic coating has developed an air bubble? I tried to manipulate it out but it seems to be getting worse? Is it supposed to be removed or is it on the door to protect it?
5 answers
Have not had this happen to mine, have a coating on my fridge and not removed it. My dishlex is the silver one and I just checked there are no bubbles on it, the coatings are to protect them I would check with the store where you bought it from,
Thank you Sandra. I dont think I have a choice... it somehow blistered up and looks awful... There must have been a defect in it....
It’s just a protective coating and can be removed as I looked at the corners on mine have started to lift.

Have you tried looking at the water taps underneath your sink? There could be a tap / water flow stopper connected that is stopping the water from coming through if it’s brand new? Check other places that water would enter the dishwasher as it may be blocked somehow. Also, check if it’s under warranty still and call dishex.
I'm having the same problem. I totally emptied the bottom of basin water and it restarted, then Stopped after it filled again. Happened yesterday.

Any one else having problems with the door handle splitting? Up to my third, not opened with force.
2 answers
Bev,...Had Dishlex since September 2016 ..no problems at all......door handle forms part of the front top part of the dishwasher which incorporates the controls......unusual ...sounds like a door handle quality control issue.
Ours has split too. Only 3 years old.....also not opened with force. Ridiculous that a new handle costs $150 whereas this dishwasher new is now only $444. Poor design.

Hi my DSF6106w isn't heating!! What can be wrong with this?

No idea. If it was me I would have to read the instruction manual help section to see if I could find the reason. Hope it is not too serious. Good luck.

Our Dishlex is onky 4 months old and is not working.. it conks out eithout completing thw cycke.. what could be wrong?

I am sorry I cannot answer that question as I have not had that problem. It might help if you contact the Dishlex people themselves as it might be a fault in the machine. Try contacting the company from where you brought it. Is it under warantee if so they should help you either to fix it or replace it with another.
I have not had this problem either. Alli can suggest you read the manual that came with machine and look up the faults section. That might have possible things that may be causing this to happen and what to do to rectify the problem. Good luck.

Hello, I've just bought a DSF6106 and installed it correctly. Very easy as all plumbing was ready in our new house. I've just put the dishwasher on it's first cycle and it sounds like it's running and water is being drawn but inside is still dry and nothing is actually happening. If anyone knows what's going on, please let me know. Thanks :)

is there any water leaking under the unit or anywhere else? if you're going to run a test cycle, try the 30 min with no detergent. see the instruction manual about that.
Hi Colin, thanks for writing. There is no water leaking at all. I checked the tap before I attached the dishwasher hose and it was working fine. I tried the thirty min quick cycle and it sounds like it should be working but no water is being drawn in at all. I check the online instruction manual and even followed the installation instructions that came with the machine. Am I missing something??
If the level of the drain hose is too low the water will continue to drain and machine cannot fill to wash. The drain hose should rise to near the top of the machine before continuing to draining point. You said you checked the tap for a sustained flow before installation. I can't think of anything else just now.

can i leave the water tap turned on when the machine is not in use?
2 answers
Hi do you mean the tap connected to the machine. If you don't use it best to turn the tap off. Just in case
Yes you can, BUT you run the risk of the hose bursting or coming away from the tap. I once had the plastic hose fly off the tap and flood the house, so I don't trust them. If I did leave the tap turned on I would replace the plastic hose with a 2 metre metal braided hose available from Bunnings for example.

What is the cause of it not draining out?

Hi.
I have a dsf6106x when I push the start button it doesnt start and the end indicator flashes 12 times can anyone help please . Thanks Jason
1 answer
Turn the water tap off, unscrew the inlet hose fitting and check that the filter is not blocked. Make sure there are no kinks in the inlet or outlet hoses or that they are not squashed up against the back or side of the unit. Turn the water tap back on, make sure that the door is closed properly, select the program and press start. If that doesn't help contact Electrolux to find your nearest service centre. Good Luck.

Can I use the finish dishwashing tabletsin this dishwasher?
1 answer
My DISHLEX DSF6106W came with a sample pack of Finish Powerball Quantum Max tablets. However the product manual advises that tablets not be used on the short cycle. I am currently using Morning Fresh dishwasher detergent with Finish rinse aid and apart from being a lot less costly than tablets, the results have been great.

Do I need to fit a p.o.m valve on the water inlet hose?
1 answer
Hi Dan you don't have to fit one, I did with mine just because they are easy to fit and if I ever needed to service or replace my dishwasher I only have to shut the valve and disconnect my washer.

Looking at a first dishwasher for renovated house in country. I have gravity feed hot water and mains pressure cold water. Which one best to connect for this machine? How long is the average cycle ?
Thank you.
1 answer
Hi there, the washer can be plumbed to hot or cold water, I personally went the cold route seeing the heating element built into the washer will use power and not my gas water service, I have solar power, that was why. Average cycle is 2 hours.45 mins. That is a pots and pans wash and I only use that cycle as it by far cleans the best. 30 minute cycle is okay for cups and lightly soiled plates. I have tried all the powders tablets and rinse aid. I stuck with Aldi 1kg powder $3.60 a bottle and Aldi rinse aid 500ml with a pot and pan wash everything comes out clean as a whistle 99%

How can the drain hose be replaced? Does the whole back of the dishwasher need to come off?
1 answer
No need to remove the back. The old hose can be disconnected & the new one attached to the back of the dishwasher.
Collasked
Can you connect the hot water tap to it?

Ours is connected to cold water but this dishwasher connects to either cold or hot. Hope this helps.
