So good espieaclly for pet hair
I've got a large german shepherd with very stubborn long hairs, the Dyson motorhead is able to vaccum the hairs up even in the tighest spots. Works on both tiles and carpet flows and it's also not to heavy. My whole family is able to use it without any diffculties and I can store it away easily

Easy to
We purchased our stick Dyson over a year or so ago. Love that it is a rechargable battery. So much easy to deal with then a corded vacumm. Works well. We use for entire time house as our only vacuum. We have a small house with wooden floor and rugs.

Love it
I used to have a normal canister version. I wouldn't Vac previously because it was just too cumbersome and always used to scuff the walls. This little machine is fantastic. Has plenty of power on the high setting. Battery lasts 10-15 minutes which i enough to do either the tiles or carpet but not both. My main gripe is the fact that the canister is very hard to empty. Dog hair gets stuck into the top and cannot get it out. I think the V8 replacement model fixes this issue.

Great
My wife loves this! Actually loves it. The charge lasts long enough to vacuum the whole house quickly if required but not if in it's high mode (comes with standard and high mode). She usually keeps it on high and uses it daily/nightly to clean up the more messy areas like the kitchen and lounge or wherever the kids have been. It comes with a couple of attachments and I've used it a few times in the car which is great too. It picks up dirt and larger food items easily with it's spinning attachment. Our is mounted over a bench so the attachment...Read more
needs to be detached every time - if you have clear wall space I would suggest placing the charger there so that you don't need to do the same. The high mode uses a lot more energy and it would be great if it lasted a little longer. The only other (slight) negative is the dirt storage/basket isn't large so emptying it is something that needs to occur frequently.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect! Easy to use!
We got a normal Miele at home and decided to give this a try during promotion and OMG it's so much easier to use than traditional vacuum and the Miele is now in the garage. It's light and can be pick up anytime easily. No need to plug in anymore! Though the battery last only 10-15min it's really enough for everyday cleaning. Highly recommend!

Great product for everyday.
We purchased this product on special so very happy with the price.
Light, easy to use and store. All attachments at your fingerprints.
Have kept our old electric Dyson for big cleans as the stick vac only lasts 20 minutes.
Handy for quick clean ups and breakages.
Works well on all surfaces but the bin fills up quickly.
Struggles a bit with pet hair.

Good vacuum cleaner
Purchased this vacuum cleaner about 9 months ago. Agonised about whether to get the stick or just the hand held one, but ended up going with the stick. Vacuum cleaner works well, the stick is very handy. I use it for spot cleans after the kids make mess during dinner. I also use it to clean my house. I haven't had any issues with the battery. I do have issues with the canister blocking itself very often, which means that after only a couple of minutes of cleaning I need to go and empty it and start again. It is also difficult to empty (definitely not self-emptying). Overall, happy with purchase and I use this item 3-4 times a week.

Battery life way too short. Can do only one room at a time. They should design so a spare battery
Good suction - not an issue on hard wood floors.
Weight not an issue, noise not an issue, maneuverability not an issue.
Battery life is awful. Can only do one room at a time. Design should be changed to allow snapping in back up batteries like all other battery operated tools.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for your message. ... Read more
We would not expect the machine to just last for one room on the normal power mode. On max power however the run time is shortened to around 6-8 minutes, so this is a possible explanation as to why this is occurring for you. Please see this following video demonstrating how to switch the max mode on and off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32KSMSRSTC0 If this does not resolve the issue, please email us at [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you further. Perfect for the whole house!
If you were to buy one vacuum, this would be the one. It's light, great suction for carpets and the moorhead works great. Heaps of people complain about them being too small or not enough battery, but I can clean a whole 3 bedroom house properly with one, although you might have to empty it a couple times as It can't store much dust. But it's not a problem at all. The charger/storage clip is perfect and very convenient to put away, unlike another vacuum, trying to hide it away and store the hose. Buy one! you won't regret it

Great Vacuum for small jobs
The V6 Motorhead has great performance, is light and maneuvrable. It is used on mainly tile and wooded floors to pick up small spills. It vacuums almost as well as my fullsize Dyson. The storage bracket that comes with the V6 is great and i was able to install it easily in a cupboard in our laundry. The only issue is the 17 minute battery life and recharge time.

Love my V6
This is my third Dyson product and absolutely love the V6. It picks up my labrador's hair together with dirt, grass and fluff. Works on carpets or tiles and outside patio. It is easy to use under tables and chairs and the swivel head makes it easy to maneuver around obstacles. The battery works for about 25 minutes then I need to recharge it. The big rotating brush makes it difficult for long hair to get stuck in it which is great. Would highly recommend it.

This is the best thing other than sliced bread
The best thing that my husband and I bought my husband uses it more than I do as it does everything a big vacuum does and quicker as you don't have to pull a big one around easy to empty you just hold it over the bin quick and easy

Love It So Much!
We purchased the V6 to replace our old Dyson DC20 about half a year ago. Very impress with its cleaning efficiency, has great vacuum power but yet so lite to handle. In the past we would only vacuum our carpets probably once a month since it takes a lot more effect to use the DC20 to do all the vacuuming, but now we have been using the V6 very regularly as soon as we see dirty / dusty areas, just take it out and do the cleaning straight away without all the hassle of fixing all the long cables. It is one of our best purchase ever!

Excellent vacuum
very happy with the Dyson vacuum cleaner. On regular setting I can vacuum my whole house on a single charge. Turbo head is great for carpets and cat fur. Very light and easy to use. I would recommend this product to friends as it makes cleaning the house very easy.

The vacuum cleaner that I can't live without
The Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner is probably the best vacuum cleaner in the market. The fact that it's cordless with high powered suction, means that I can clean the house as I need it. There is no need to fiddle around with cords and replacing filters. Even after 1 year of use, this thing still works just like day 1.

Perfect. Can't live without it
Vacuum carpet perfectly. Handheld vacuum and perfect for a busy mom. Bought it July 2016 and still using it. Absolutely love it to the max. abit of noise but that does not bother me. Downside is it only last 17 min and you will have to recharge it again. Easy to clean and does not need separate vacuum bag.

good
Easy to use but battery did not last long, can use only abt 10 mins after each recharge. The cap with the filther sometimes come off. Dust stuck in the cup has to be removed with a chopstick.Otherwise it is a good product. Good suction on both timber/tile and carpet.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to review your V6 Motorhead. ... Read more
Your V6 should achieve a run time of 6 minutes, or on normal mode, a run time of 16-17 minutes with a motorised floor tool attached, or 20 minutes without. Standard out of the box, your machine will be in Max mode. To change to normal mode for the longer run time, while the machine is running with your finger on the trigger, press and release the "Max" button on the back of the machine. The "Max" button light will turn off and you will hear the machine change tone to indicate it is now running in normal mode. If dust gets caught around the shroud, you can remove the bin to clean this easily. You can see how to remove the bin here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWG-AgswpQo. Once removed, just brush the shroud with the combination tool to release any trapped debris. This being said, we wouldn't expect the filter to come out during use. I would encourage you to email [email protected] with your details, and we will be happy to help. Again, thank you for taking the time to review your machine. Most powerful vacuum
The dyson V6 is so powerful and very handy tool. Performance is pretty good but the battery is a little bit shortly. I used only about 20 mins and need to be recharge for 3 hours. No need to have dust bags and can be easily clean. Recommend and consider to buy a V8 as well.

A must for convenient cleaning
I love this stick vacuum! It makes cleaning the stairs so much easier without having the cords going everywhere. The suction on it is great and the spinning head goes from edge to edge so cleaning is much better against walls etc. It also has a "super" suction option which we haven't really needed or used as it cleans so well without using it. The "super" option also uses up so much battery so you lose out on the vacuuming time. Wasn't too keen on the price but when it's on special its well worth getting for the convenience and quality! Do your research and price match where possible.

My Dyson V6 Motorhead cordless vacuum- the motorhead has stopped spinning and there's hardly any suction. I've cleaned it fully and nothing is stuck. The vacuum works with different attachments. Just the motorhead doesn't work at all. Any ideas?

Have you completely pulled the brush spin part out?
Yes.
Sometimes hair around the brush at the ends stops it spinning. But the product is cheap. I’m buying a new brush end off eBay as mine stopped working after a year or two

My wife and I love the Dyson we currently have however, it has been blowing dust out of the back of it after the canister as been emptied. It also has been doing this once the canister is re-attached. Could this be a problem with the filter needing cleaned/ replaced?
2 answers
So the air filter just pulls out at the top of the motor, recommend cleaning once/twice a week if using everyday
Dyson Team ..Dyson
We certainly wouldn't expect any Dyson machine to blow dust out of itself.
We would kindly ask you to get in touch directly with our Dyson Experts via [email protected] and we will be happy to help get this sorted.

do i have too screw the docking station onto a wall or can i just leave it propped up against the wall?
1 answer
Dyson Team ..Dyson
It's best not to leave the machine sitting propped against a wall while charging in case it gets knocked over and damaged. We'd suggest to charge the machine with the power cord while it's sitting on a flat surface, or install the charger into the docking station and install the docking station on a wall.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble emptying the bin and hair is stuck in the bin. The bin can be removed to allow easy access and cleaning.
