Battery charge won't last for you to finish the job
I found the V6 very handy to do the job but with battery power lasting only for 10 minutes you can't finish the job you started. This is the case with my cars or house cleaning. If it lasted at least 20 minutes i would have been much happier.

Yes, it helps once you change to normal mode.

Powerful unit that makes cleaning easy
A powerful unit, easy to use and great for keeping the place tidy in between the full cleans. Great for Picking up dog hair. The new soft head is great for timber floors... also works well on carpet. Being cordless makes it so flexible, in and under as well as stairs and the life between charges gives you plenty of scope.

Efficient, time saving and peace of mind!
After approximately six months of researching, comparing several vacuums from different vendors, testing in-store and reading reviews, I had saved up about $1000 for a product that would meet my requirements. 1. I have a child who always plays on the floor. 2. Portability when cleaning my two cars downstairs in a shared garage (that has no power point for a corded vacuum). 3. Easily cleaned including the modular attachments. This Dyson59 (Motorhead) has been meeting and exceeding my expectations and needs.

les, with results you can see in the dust bin. However, there are two minor flaws, but I already knew as I had been advised by the salesman. 1. It doesn't clean as well on fury rugs; I understood this, because the mechanics of the motorhead is obvious. It struggles to spin while the fury rug gets caught in the brushbar which causes the machine to stop working, thinking there's a clog. I now change the attachment to compensate for this flaw, and even though there's a smaller surface area to clean, it does the job well. 2. Battery; Again, I knew this limitation when I bought this amazing device. It only lasts for 15+ minutes. But I have noticed the battery isn't detachable as easily as the older models. It would have been nice to have a second battery to swap after each use when cleaning with turbo mode. Cleaning the dustbin is very simple and easy, just like most bag less vacuums. Open the dustbin and empty it! The filter is also easy to clean, as instructions say, "rinse with cold water and let it air dry 24hrs". The modular attachments are equally easily to clean, as there is a small screw cap that allows the brushbar to detach (nice sharp scissors to cut tangled hair off the brushbar, and voila, hair free!) In conclusion, the Dyson59 is highly recommended if it meets your requirements, form-factor for mobility, cordless, easy to clean and of course, to thoroughly clean dust from flat carpet, tiles and automobiles.Similar opinion? Replaced my old Vaccum
Ive pretty much replaced my old cheap plug in vacuum with the dyson v6 motorhead. Its so much easier to quickly grab off the charger and start using, and the motorhead cleans pretty well. I have a robotic vacuum as most of my house is hard floors so i just use the dyson for the carpeted rooms and quick random use around the house. It has reasonable suction for a handheld vac and you can always use the "high power" mode if you have larger things to suck up, which is quiet powerful but eats the battery faster. One thing i am impressed with is the...Read more
motorhead doesn't seem to get clogged with hair and crap like ive read the other models do (i have a german shepard that sheds and it handles it with ease). Its easy to use, i can fully vacuum 3 bedrooms and my rumpus with battery to spare. Super easy to empty also. It is quiet expensive, however i am much more inclined to use it then my old plug in vacuum. Glad i bought it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My Dyson V6 Motorhead cordless vacuum- the motorhead has stopped spinning and there's hardly any suction. I've cleaned it fully and nothing is stuck. The vacuum works with different attachments. Just the motorhead doesn't work at all. Any ideas?

Have you completely pulled the brush spin part out?
Yes.
Sometimes hair around the brush at the ends stops it spinning. But the product is cheap. I’m buying a new brush end off eBay as mine stopped working after a year or two

My wife and I love the Dyson we currently have however, it has been blowing dust out of the back of it after the canister as been emptied. It also has been doing this once the canister is re-attached. Could this be a problem with the filter needing cleaned/ replaced?

So the air filter just pulls out at the top of the motor, recommend cleaning once/twice a week if using everyday

We certainly wouldn't expect any Dyson machine to blow dust out of itself.
We would kindly ask you to get in touch directly with our Dyson Experts via [email protected] and we will be happy to help get this sorted.

do i have too screw the docking station onto a wall or can i just leave it propped up against the wall?

It's best not to leave the machine sitting propped against a wall while charging in case it gets knocked over and damaged. We'd suggest to charge the machine with the power cord while it's sitting on a flat surface, or install the charger into the docking station and install the docking station on a wall.

If your machine is only lasting for 10 minutes it is most likely set to the MAX power mode. To turn it back on the normal mode and receive the full run time you will need to hold down the trigger and press the MAX button on the back of the machine. The blue light should disappear from around this button and the machine will make a different noise. If this does not resolve the issue or you require any further assistance please send through an email to [email protected] or contact our helpline on 1800 239 766. Our helpline is open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm and on the weekends 8.30am-4pm. Best wishes, Samuel Facebook.com/Dyson
