Bought this for my mums B'day and didn't expect it to be as good as it is. The price was $250 on special at HN and even though I thought it would be just for around the kitchen, my mum uses it in the whole house for dog hair and the lot. Plenty of suction and the motor head is excellent. Cleaning it is also easy, if I had to comment on anything negative it would be that the cylinder could be bigger for holding what it sucks up.

Works like a charm, its low and high settings work great on both carpeted, tiled and wodden floors, its low to medium weight make it easy to move around and maneuver it isn't the quietest thing in the world but is it quiet compared to other vacuums, i can vacuum an area of 4sq meters in no more than 5 minutes

First of all, very hesitate to invest so much $$$ just for a vacuum. However, after I tried my friend's Dyson, there's no turning back. It has a so called "turbo" feature where the machine sucks stronger. I couldn't describe my experience, as I only can ask prospect buyer to give it a try and experience it by themselves. You won't regret buying Dyson vacuum as it will last very long.

I love my Dyson V6!!! It is my quick tool to grab and quickly clean up the front entrance or back door mud area.
It is cordless and surprisingly holds a charge quite long. No bag just push a button and you can empty the dirt very easily. The motor recharges very quickly within an hour and ready to go for more clean up. Better than the old dust buster for it does have 3 attachments allowing you to clean furniture, your car, etc.... The only negative is the color...hot pink!!! But who cares, it does a great job. I am not looking for another charger so I can plug it in on other floors within the house. Love it!!!

Expensive for its performance. Battery life is okay but not great. Works well on carpet but not on hard floors. Lino is the worst as the suction lifts the lino and the vacuum is very hard to push around the room. After speaking to Dyson over the phone I was told the hard floor cleaning head was not available for this model for purchase even though it fits. Very disappointed. Bad customer service will not buy a Dyson again.

it has great suction power. also lightweight.
so easy for me to manouver as I have very bad arthritis.and i don't need to do any bending.
I use it on carpet and tiles and lino, also I can use it in my car.
it does a perfect job on all of them.

Great suction, light to use, sy to clean. Can hang and charge in small spaces.i use it on porcelain tiles as well as carpet, rugs, does fantstic job with attachment for window sills, brush attachment great for skirting boards as well ad cornases because it is so light, great for vacuuming car

Very poor performance it's like a toy for Playmmobile, very dissatisfied a lot of promises in the add, my 20 years old vacuum cleaner did work better. A real ripoff!!
Stay away from Dyson The heater I bought with this item is terrible too.

I am very happy with this machine, has great suction power, cleans up any little messes like sand, dirt and leaves that have been brought inside by my Labradoodle Cassie and she does this everyday. My hard and carpeted areas are cleaned in no time, I just grab the stick and it's all done in a few minutes. Simple and easy to empty and popped back on charge ready for the next onslaught. My house is only small, 27sqr metres, my "magic stick" has the house in order in no time.

A 34sq house is not easy to clean. I needed a light and fast way to clean the tiled portion of the house and this is where the Dyson v6 slotted in quite nicely. It's battery runs the whole 20mins as advertised and the test turn out quite clean. I highly recommend this product

With kids and a dog being able to quickly and easily vacuume small areas often is life changing. Another brilliant Dyson product. We were nervous the battery would not last long enough for us but we have no problems vacuuming the whole house on the normal setting. When on max the battery will run out faster but normal works brilliantly for most of the time. Easy to store, easy to use. Love it!!!

I love the different attachments it comes with and how easy it is to change them out. But what I absolutely HATE is the battery life! I understand it's not a huge battery but I only get 10 to 15 minutes of run time! I thought maybe I got a bad battery so I called Dyson to inquire about the problem and the lady said if I'm getting 10 to 15 minutes of run time I'm doing good because they typically only run 7 to 10 minutes! Are you kidding me? Over $300 for a vacuum and it takes 3 days to vacuum my whole house.
If I still had the box I would have returned it.

After buying this Dyson handstick it has been a breeze to clean the house.

I also have a Miele vacuum cleaner and another hand vacuum cleaner and cleaning with Miele used to be a big weekly chore(but much better than cheap sets, this one actually cleans but like all bulk vacuum cleaners a little bit difficult).

But with Dyson V6 i clean the house alteast 2-3 times and car atleast once in 2 weeks....sooo easy to use this.
I have 2-year-old boy and needs constant carpet cleaning and this is the best time saving product !
Never ran out of battery for a three bed room unit even on Max settings.

Cleans so well and easy to use without cords! Would highly recommend especially for carpets and tiles. Light too so would be very good for the elderly. Charges up within two hours and lasts for a full clean of standard three bedroom house. Would be keen to try other Dyson products now

Excellent performance. I had already vacuumed and then used the Dyson. I couldn't believe how much dust and dog fur the other vac left behind. It's like a super clean! It is easy to handle and move around especially as there are no cords to get in the way.Its packs up nicely and is quite compact. I have porcelain tiles and carpet, so much easier and almost enjoyable to clean now.

First of all, I love Dyson products and have purchased fans and a larger vacuum. I bought this to essentially vacuum the kitchen daily. It is hopeless, the Motorhead is annoying, it can't vacuum cheerios, cornflakes, rice is a struggle. It flicks debris everywhere rather than up the vacuum! I am completely underwhelmed by this handheld. Had I known it was like this I definitely would not have purchased it, it sits in my cupboard. I don't recommend it at all, save your money!

I love this vacuum as it gets the finer dust out of the carpet it is fantastic with children I could use it at least 3 times a day. My only negative is that the battery does last all that long. I have learnt to vacuum as fast as possible

I love this vacuum for carpet. Its super convenient, lightweight, portable and easy to empty and had a powerful suction. However, it is continually getting stuff and fluff stuck in the barrel near the area where it comes out into the barrel. Its getting seriously annoying.

It doesn't suck up stuff very well on hard floors, I find that things get sprayed forwards and i have to vacuum over the floor a couple of times to pick all the dust and little bits up.

If you want a handstick that is great on both carpet and hard floors, buy the Absolute. It comes with two heads, one for carpet and one for hardfloors. It would be worth the extra money.
