25MJ with 3 heat settings. 3 fan settings as well. Perfect for large spaces. Very efficient. Charcoal In colour and visible heated rods. Probably not great with small children around but perfect for a large space.

Did not Buy in the end

    published

Was about to purchase but looked at the minimum required room size. This would have precluded us from closing off part of the house. Oxygen levels and exhaust gases require a relatively large minimum sized area (54 sq m I recall). The older replaced heater had had none of these listings - we were perhaps naive. The open element heaters require a larger minimum sized room. It was only by chance we did not buy because it appears to be a very good choice for a large area.
Had found some discounts from RRP.

Illegal to install in Victiria. Even though their supplier 2nds World, still ships them.

    published

Buyer beware; the natural gas model cannot be installed in Victoria. 2nds World, their retailer, still ships and will not accept returns without a 20% restocking fee and freight paid.
I believe this may apply to other states as well.
All I want is my money back and I think there should be a disclaimer on their website.
I tried to buy Australian and got screwed.

May be a good product but there needs to be more information on where it can be installed and where it cannot.

    Avoid this heater

    published

This heater has been a dud since we bought it new. It constantly cuts off (not due to the oxygen sensor) as it cuts out in seconds in a fresh room. Service is hideous and since we (also lit the other review) live outside a metro area, the call our is 20% of the cost of the heater. It is a lemon and worth not going anywhere near it. Maybe they could do some testing before they launch ... call out fee regardless of warranty issue or not. Yuk yuk yuk.
Nothing at all. Forget this unless a cold room in a mountain town is your favourite

Hi, I just bought a Brigadier 7 burner 2 days ago. It takes forever to light up the heater. It turned on after many attempts last night. I have tried today but it just won't turn on. Wondering if there's something wrong with the heater? Thx

Is you gas connection turned on correct? maybe gas connection needs blowing out that can be done by using vaccum. other than that take back to store for a different heater swap over, Ive never had a problem & feel this is best gas heater ever had .

Let me first say I'm not an expert in gas heaters however after 3 years my tiles are still white. It sounds like the tiles are building up a carbon deposit (similar to soot in a wood fire chimney). If that's what is happening, air could be mixing with the gas so possibly when you moved the heater from the old owner to your house you knocked the tiles loose. Again, I'm not an expert in gas heaters but if it was me I'd look in the local area for a heater service centre or a mobile repairman and have the heater checked.
When the heater is lit there should be an even orange glow across all the tiles. If these black ones have a different coloured heat or are flickering I wouldn't use it until an expert checked it.
Remember you are dealing with a mixture or flames and gas, that can be an explosive mixture if it goes wrong, it just isn't worth the risk. Get a proper professional to check the heater.

    Good morning,

Please contact our customer care team on 1300 739 033 and they will direct you to your nearest service centre to arrange a repair. If the heater is giving off a burning smell please do not use it.

    Thank you.

Sorry, we did not purchase the Brigadier because of the minimum size room requirements. I would certainly recommend a professional before using the heater again.
