Hi, my Rangers air con compressor is making a banging noise and seems to be loose at the front bearings. Can I still use the air con or is going to come off causing the belt to slip off also until I get back to fix it ?

I have a 2017 XLT and in the last two weeks the AC has been blowing hot and then cold and in the hot weather we have had in Adelaide SA it is not engaging.
I have checked relay and ok.
Was recently serviced and they could not find a fault code.
Has anyone had similar happen?
Just trying to eliminate the obvious before taking it back to ford.
Thanks in advance

It'll be the blend actuators/doors under the dash. I have the same thing. I found by pressing the aircon buttons to max alternate between hot and cold. It fixed mine for a while then I do it again
Hi Wayne I have the same problem as Fritzy have you had yours repaired, you sound confident with the problem solution or had a quote to have it repaired.

Hi, we have a 2014 XLT model. It has only just started to make a sound of rushing wind/ or as if you have the fan on high when accelerating. The noise is clearly coming from under the hood, passenger side. It only does this in DRIVE only, not in any other gear. Also using a lot of Diesel. Idles and seems to run okay though.

I had the traction control lights coming on and going into "Limp" mode in my 2015 PX1 Ranger and it was a faulty speed sensor in one of my rear wheels. I fitted a Flashlube oil catch can and the drive train light stopped coming on and no more "limp"mode either.

Hi there I have a 2013 PX ford ranger xlt 3.2, the issue that Im having is surging when ute is cold on start up. When its cold Im getting vibration and the same time as surging @ 2000rpm. But once its proper warmed up to it pretty much stops, Ive had a trans service and theres no signs of air leaks anywhere. Would that be anything to do with the thermal bypass control Value or any of the ERG sensor. Im not yet change the fuel filter yet but that was last change 20k ago. Cheers

I used to own a 2015 px2 xlt ranger from new.
Was disapointed with the engine rattle noise until the engine warmed up about 5 minutes into the drive. Once warned up the ute was perfect. Worse in winter and that bad that all of my neighbours noticed it as well. Every 6 weeks it would go back to Ford to fix, but yep 6 weeks later same thing. I am fussy with cars, and $56k you should be. Utes now gone and was never told what the problem was. Any one have any idea? Been given a px2 2.2ltr work ite and guess what, same thing. Any ideas?

When turn sharp left or right then mount the curb I get this loud noise coming front the front. Hard to explain, sounds like squealing metal. When driving normally no noise. Even when I mount the curb and dont turn sharp. Seen a BT 50 made the same noise, so it must be a common issue.
