No service after payment
As the case with many other reviews on here, I too believed that a purchase via HN on line was a good idea as the stores are usually very good. So I purchased an exercise bike, due to iso, paid $997 and was prepared to wait 5-10 days for delivery. 10 days later I checked the order and it had not progressed. I contacted live chat (really unhelpful) and then went to a store (really unhelpful) then went through WhatsApp. This was successful, messaged and asked to cancel and refund order and this was confirmed that it would be done asap. days ago and I have since tried again via WhatsApp and just received auto replies ‘get back to you in 24 hours’ which has not occurred. I have now emailed [email protected] and received an auto reply for a 48 hour wait... I ordered the bike on 30/3 and still waiting for any sort of reasonable communication. Worst online shopping experience ever
- Order an item over $400 that is in stock
- Item is not get email saying it is coming soon
- 4 1/2 weeks later nothing. No updates.
- Tried emailing, using messaging on website and messaging facebook with only a reply and hours later on messaging saying she would look into it. No reply after that.
- Never have i experienced support that is this unresponsive ever.

Product gr8 online service sucks
Purchased 2 laptop's online was assured by staff at Morayfield that I should receive a tax invoice, tried to contact the online dept for email of tax invoice even on social media they chose to ignore me...here's the one sided conversation all you had to do was email me my tax invoice...too hard too bad then enjoy the review

a terrible service until you speak with a person
I ordered a fitbit versa, 3 weeks ago. The parcel has gone missing. The courier company does not know where it is. They cannot find the parcel. I have been on chat every day with no one ever getting on, between the courier and Harvey Norman it is a massive run around. Then I have emailed and been told that a response would be returned in 48 hours. Its been 96 hours and still nothing. There is no number to call, no one to assist. Misleading saying the item was in stock then no communication
Similar to Mike Anderson's review. I ordered the exercise because it said it was in stock. I also ordered 2 other items which were delivered within 2 days. There was only email to advise that the bike was not in stock and there were awaiting delivery from the supplier. 2 weeks later, no bike, no communication. Terrible Service (Do Not Use Harvey Norman Online)
I ordered a product online which wasn't as described.
While it is acceptable that these things happen I have tried for over 10 days to get in contact with anyone from Harvey Norman Online.
There is no contact number and the only options are chat or email.
Emails get zero responses and that chat is either ignored or a chat representative advises they will get someone to call who never does.
I understand that online sales have increased, however, their profits have increased as well. There seems to be no interest in customer satisfaction but they are always willing to take the money.
I recommend any other online shopping to Harvey Norman Online.

Vacuuming Joy
Having just put down new carpet with a dog with long hair I was struggling to find a vacuum that could pick up the dog fur effortlessly.
Anna from Malaga, suggested I get a sample of the carpet, leave it out for a few days and then take it in to try out a couple of the vacuums they had available.
I did then and I was able to try out the different makes and models.
I have returned home with my new Miele and am extremely happy with the results. It was effortless and did an amazing job.

Do not buy anything online from Harvey Norman
I ordered an exercise bike two weeks ago having noted that most other sites honestly declared they had sold out. Harvey Norman gave no indication when I ordered that they did not have the item in stock indeed they told me that I could expect delivery within 4-10 days (they even charged me for the delivery in advance). Since then I have attempted to contact Harvey Norman on several occasions by a variety of means including - leaving messages on their totally useless chatline, emails, and even phoning a local store - to try to cancel my order and ask them to return my money. All to no avail. Tellingly there is NO PHONENUMBER for making contact not even an actual store has one they can give you. I have received occasional messages that my query has been “ticketed” and someone will be in touch within 24-48 hours (they never have). I leave it to you to decide what to call it when someone takes your money for an item they do not have, do not offer a refund, and refuse to make meaningful contact.Similar opinion? Everything was smooth from purchase to delivery
Couldn’t be happier in fact, they offered best price and I got another 7% using gift cards, in this day and age customer service goes a long way, it was a smooth and easy transaction, they had our new washer delivered the next day before Easter long weekend, can’t fault it.

Try to Return Something
I purchased an electronics item and later found that it wasn't compatible with my device and tried to return it. The item was unopened and I had the receipt from the previous day. I was bounced from one person to another who had their own processes until I had enough. I ended up giving it away to a friend.

Shocker
I purchased a 55U4750A TOSHIBA 55' 4K NETFLIX SMART HN TV on behalf of a friend who 76 years old, in a wheelchair and has Cerebral Palsy.
It has got to be the worst TV on the market, it stops working most days, it freezes most days and then it has to be turned off at the socket as it can't be turned off by the handset, this unbelievably hard for my friend who can't get to the socket from his wheelchair.
I've called Harvey Norman who have just put it in the hands of the contracted engineers and this is so unfair for someone whose life is as bad as it gets, sometimes he has to wait all day until his carer arrives to turn the TV on.
An absolute waste of money and this TV has been like this from day one and it's only six months old.

Don't believe adds
Purchased outdoor toys for grandson. Order stated it would take 2 days to dispatch and up to 10 to deliver. Other than initial order confirmation, received no other notice or delivery tracking. Contacted via email after 6 days. Received generic statement saying I would be contacted within 48hr, still waiting!!!! It has now been 12 days, the money came out straight away,. For a large company- disgraceful.

Non-Existent Service for Product Ordered & Paid For and Not Received
Placing the online order was simple. However self-service is the only service I have received. Once the order was placed I received an email confirmation of the order. Nothing was received after that - no tax invoice, no dispatch advice. The order was placed 08th April 2020 - an item for my daughters birthday 01st May. Unconscionable Behavior Extremely Poor Service. Avoid at all costs
Harvey Norman advertised an exercise bike for immediate delivery that met our requirements, On the basis of HNs reputation and the fit to my needs I purchased the ex bike. 9 days after taking the order and payment they sent me a standard email saying the order has been delayed - no revised deliver date given. Fast, efficient service and delivery
The store in Wonthaggi was marvellous, easy to deal with, the store in Dandenong rang me back quickly and was very informative about the product i was interested in. The product was JBL 5.1 surround system and the customer service Tech guy was knowledgeable and convinced me to buy the product all because he knew what he was talking about and took the time ti ring back and talk to me....BANG ....SOLD...great job. I ordered a blender online and received this box of plastic instead of my product. Mistakes happen and perhaps you are over working your staff. So I jump online and wait in a queue (which initially tells me is a 7 minute wait) 3.5 hours its finally my turn and after some back and forth I was told my blender would be sent. Great, no harm done.

Where do I start? For an Australian business, Harvey Norman has been the worst company I've dealt with. On the 18/03/2020 I saw them advertise 10x hand sanitisers for pre-ordering online. They said the delivery timeframe will be between 9 and 14 business days. So I ordered them and paid via Paypal.

umber and wouldn't you know it, they don;t have one or just not advertising it. Only way to contact them is by online chat, Messenger or WhatsApp. So I tried online chat and after 40 minutes got chatting to someone. After giving them all my details they said they can't see any shipment info as it's a dropshipper that will be shipping it out. So first time I've learned that Harvey Norman is using a dropshipper for these products. I was advised that they will leave notes for the dropshipper to get back to me with ETA within 48 hours. After not hearing from them by end of 48 hours, I then messaged Harvey Norman via Messenger. Their chatbot told me a rep will contact me soon. Heard nothing! So I went into Paypal and opened an :Item not received" case. At the same time I emailed Harvey Norman with the same concerns. After not hearing back by 07/04/2020, I escalated the Paypal claim to get Paypal involved. Funny enough the next day on 08/04/2020 I got an email from Harvey Norman stating that the distributor is having unavoidable delays and it will now take an extra 4 weeks for the products to be shipped. I could either wait or have the order cancelled and get a full refund. So I replied back that I have waited long enough and I want to cancel the order and get a full refund. Several hours later I got an email confirming they have started the cancellation process and I will soon receive a credit memo and then the funds will go into my account within 3 to 5 business days thereafter. I then got a response to my Messenger message I had sent them stating the same facts. Since then I haven't heard anything back about what's happening with my refund. It's now 22/04/2020 it's been exactly 2 weeks since those last correspondence from Harvey Norman. How long does it take to cancel an order and get a refund when they can take your money asap after you buy something? Paypal has a refund button for sellers and it's not hard to use. For an Australian business I am utterly disappointed by the way I have been treated. Jerry Harvey whinges Australians aren't buying from Australian retailers and here I am trying to support an Australian business and get thrown to the side of the road. This has been such a long and exhausting experience there is no way I will ever deal with Harvey Norman again. Trying to get a refund when they are at fault for not providing a product I've paid for is like trying get blood from a stone. I get better customer support from a seller on Ebay that's in China! Stay away from Harvey Norman, especially their online store. Today is the day Paypal said they'll review the claim and decide on a refund if a resolution hasn't been reached yet!
