They dont respond to you when you have a problem. I have been waiting for my order for 8 weeks.
They ignore emails and the chat feature make you wait and then tell you they cannot help. Also no help from the local store. They have given me the runaround for the last 4 weeks.
The Worst Online Business
I put this order on 10th Jan 2020 for Breville The Steam, then received an email on 14 Jan 2020 updated that the order has been shipped.
But I never received this, so I contact Harvey Norman on 21st Jan 2020, they only reply me on 22ned Jan 2020, and told me they do not know what's the issue, the order seems returned to the store, did not delivery to me.
The Harvey Norman never contact me for this, until I contact them to check my order.
Actually, this is the 2nd order within 2 month the Harvey Norman did not proceed.
I ordered some BBQ...at 30 May 2020 for my Christmas, I contact them several times during Dec 2020, but only until mid-Jan 2020, Harvey Norman told me they will refund, but no reason that why they never process this order, and waste my time. The worst service.

Do not order online - no communication and late arrival of product. Shipping said it would be delivered within 1 - 2 days. No communication surrounding the delay, messaged customer service on email and facebook with no response, had to call our local store three times so they could put me through. It was more hassle than what it was worth. Their online ordering system needs a massive overhaul.
Don't order from these people
Cannot get an online click and collect order right. Have sent it to the wrong store twice. Can't give me any time as to when my order will be ready to collect. Been waiting 6 weeks. Appalling customer service and no way to ring them

Ordered a headphone online. When their security team call me I was sleeping. So my answer is not very clear but they said if they have any further questions they will call me again. However, my order was cancelled. I still want it, so I response their emails to declare that we still want it.
I created more than 10 emails regarding this issue. No response at all. Nobody is able to help you, nobody cares about how you feel. Nobody working to help their customer at all. Terrible experience and Rubbish Service!!!!!!!!!

Terrible online service: no phone number, no responses to emails
Checked item was available before ordering via webchat and then got an email item was on back order after ordering. Tried to cancel by email, no response. Cancelled by webchat. Had to follow up a week later. After 40mins I got an immediate action after threatening to lodge a PayPal dispute.
No help at a bricks and mortar store because they are franchisees.
Past orders have gone well. Just be prepared to invest some serious time to sort things out if anything goes wrong.
Zero communication - where are my products????
Ordered two products over a week ago. Paid separate postage for each as Harvey Norman seems not to combine postage. Complained to support and received a call that the item will be shipped the next day, still nothing ....wonderful. Now I understand why the reviews are so bad, they are completely hopeless....never again!

Quick and Easy
I searched for a product on Google, Harvey popped up. Found it, Compared it, Purchased it within 10 minutes. The product arrived (during busy Christmas Time) within a week. And while comparing with other sites, I found I had paid 20% less than RRP.
Also, found it in the colour and model I wanted. Was easy to find in-store, near me (if I wanted the option).

I ordered an air purifier from Harvey Norman Online on 11/12/2019. The website said it would be delivered before Christmas.
On 30/12/2020 the item had not been delivered, so I cancelled the order via Online Chat - after waiting 30+ minutes to connect to an agent.
On 06/01/2020 the item was delivered.
On 06/01/2020 I submitted an online order enquiry requesting collection and a refund. I did not receive a response.
On 07/01/2020 I sent an email to [email protected] requesting collection and a refund. I received an automated re...sponse saying "A support representative will be reviewing your request and will send you a personal response.(usually within 48 hours)." I did not receive any further response. I will now have to waste my time on legal action.
Don't buy from Harvey Norman Online
Ordered a phone on line but then received an email saying they rejected my order but they still took the money from my credit card. I then had to spend hours on the phone trying to get my money back - Currently I don't have a phone and now am $1200 out of pocket. Do yourself a favour and don't order from them; it's just not worth it - Harvey Norman's customer service is disgusting. You should be run out of business.

Never ever buy anything online from Harvey Norman. It was supposed to be a local delivery and still not received the item. Its been 1.5 months now. The support team offers no compensation. Literally I have to check my order status every other day.. and get that frustration build. Very bad service. If I could give -ve stars, I would have no doubt.
Takes too long from online purchase to pickup
Purchased mobile phone online; and after two and a half weeks is not yet ready for pickup. With such a delay, I would expect them to call and apologize, and not me chasing the status every day.

Hopeless Order Management
Ordered couple of items online. I had ensured to order the items that were in stock near my store but since i was away on holiday asked for delivery.
after 10 days i followed up to realize that my items are not in stock. Its now 2 weeks and I am still to receive a ETA of my order.
Do not use, computer disappeared and no help from anyone
Bought a laptop online on Christmas day, and was pleasantly surprised when I received an email saying that the order had been processed and ready for courier the following day. Courier eventually picked up on the 30th of Dec and was due for delivery following day. 10 days later the expected delivery date has not been updated and courier company does not answer their phone. We have asked Harvey Norman to ring us but they have not. Instead they have sent a couple of messages saying they are looking into it but it appears it is delayed and sent us the link to the tracking information which we already have. Terrible service, uses cheap unreliable Fastway couriers. They could at least use Australia Post instead of trying to save $2 for a laptop.
Major Run around
Purchased online for store pickup and was not notified that it wasn't available in store. I had to chase another store myself and after finding one had to speak to 6 different people explaining from start every time. Similar thing happened years ago when I had to come to pick a bathroom unit 3 times from warehouse so I will never shop Harvey Norman again.

I would never do an online order with Harvey Norman again . I’m also reluctant to even buy from the stores. Placed an order early November for Christmas took money. Hadn’t received product by early December. When I contacted online query no one got back to me. Finally found a number and was told that I would be contacted in 48 hours still nothing. Ring again and was told that there was a supplier issue and would contact me with approx delivery status but still no contact. I then emailed and indicated that they can cancel my order. Funny cause t...hen all of a sudden I get an email that it is being shipped and did I still want to cancel my order. I indicated yes cause I had sourced it else where and had been shipped the same day I ordered. Still no reply to say that they would cancel . Then get a tracking email to say it had been shipped. Emailed again and said no it shouldn’t have been shipped. Still no response . I rang again spoke and explained and they told me that the manager would fix it. He obviously did, didn’t receive my order as of yet. BUT I still don’t have my refund. Disgusting appalling service. I will contacting the department of fair trading and consumer affairs first thing Monday. Very unhappy customer (no longer a customer)
Order rejected, but still took my money
I ordered an item online and got an email later that day saying my order had been rejected for vague 'trying to make sure no purchases are made without the card holder's authorisation' reasons (it was my own credit card). The charge for my purchase (nearly $2000!) still went through. I sent a query to the email address supplied and got a response with a link to a support ticket, saying that someone would probably get back to me within 48 hours.
After hearing nothing 48 hours later I decided to try looking at the ticket. The provided link led t...o a page saying I needed to log in. Trying to log in via Facebook led to an account with no tickets, trying to create an account with the email associated with the purchase told me one already existed (I never made one), and trying to reset the password to that account told me 'you are not authorised to access this portal, kindly contact your helpdesk administrator'. The online chat system gave me a bot that asked for a few basic details, promised me I was being transferred to a specialist and then went silent. I feel like I'm on a very expensive wild goose chase, and am wondering how much money they've made from people who didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting it back. Ridiculous that they can get away with this, avoid at all costs!
Good grief, never again with Harvey Norman Online
I purchased an item online and paid for it. Within two minutes they had rejected the order but kept my money. Almost two weeks later, after many emails that went unreplied, several phone calls and a number of emails, I'd had enough when they wouldn't do anything about the refund after 12 days and said I was contacting the ACCC. That worked. I got my refund. Honestly, a simple phone call to ask me if I placed the order would have prevented this but they rejected the order without consultation. I will ever use Harvey Norman Online again.
