I was going to order a product online with HN but after reading such negative feedback in review panel from unhappy customers I will be looking elsewhere!!
I also notice not even a reply or apology from HN to these upset customers, very poor!!

Good Prices and staff
People love to hate on Harvey Norman but last couple years when I price check they are always quite good and staff are always helpful.
Anyway, adding this as always try to add a good review when I leave a bad (for another company) so thanks HN, is deserved.

Non existent customer service. Essentially fraud.
Placed order for item I was told was in-stock (it wasn't).
Cancer patient, can't wait that long, agreed to cancel v/ online chat, nothing has happened since, unresponsive to ALL enquiries.

Disgusting
The staff are rude and abusive to their customers and their staff so I would recommend going to JB Hi-Fi because they always treat their customers and their staff with respect.

Terrible
Purchased an "instock" Powertrain Home Gym Fitness Bench Incline Press, only to find out 5 days later it was not in stock (after prompting them for an update). Was asked if I wanted to wait or have a refund, which I chose refund. That was 14 days ago, and am still waiting for my refund. They said they would need to confirm with the 3rd party stockist to confirm that the item hasn't been shipped before issuing a refund... that was the whole reason you offered my a refund, because they couldn't ship it!!! Online communication is absolutely terrible, they do not respond. Will keep you updated as to when I get my money back.

Don't buy a HP computer from them, don't know who has the worst customer service between the two of them.
Once you bought something from them you are on your own. Now I have a child that cannot do her school work because she has no computer. Can not even get a answer from HP computers. Just lost $1700.

Great products!
I visited Harvey Norman Aspley and I bought everything I needed in one shop. Hi sense Upside Down Fridge, Hisense Front Loading Washer, Dyson Stick Vaccum, Popcorn maker and Milk Shake maker. I did want a TV and I waited for a while but it was so busy I gave up but was very happy with what I had purchased. The products were exactly what I was looking for. Got to love the Aspley store always has what I need without waiting.

Service and product knowledge was excellent!

Very poor customer care
I bought labtop for my daughter and she uses Microsoft teams. The camera doesn't work for the program. Very unhelpful customer service representative told me use Skype for the program!

Warning. It's worse than any store
The HN online experience is aweful. It allows you to add out of stock items to a cart that you can pay for. But many in-stock items can't. It's truly confusing and irrational. My solution. I bought at Bing Lee as it was far easier. HN allowed me to reserve a item...in stock...but they refused a sale. Ok then
Other issue is a scam. Warning. HN peddle latitude cards as they have some deal there. They seemingly allow zippay. But don't accept it unless you generate a fake one time card on the app...but since you can't buy much online it's no issue...Read more
anyway other than consuming all your wasted effort. And you can add delivery. But only if the random sequence of errors allows you to have a item in stock and available and deliverable....like winning a trifecta. In short. Don't bother. It's a retail mess. Buy elsewhere. While renovating our home, we decided to shop at HN QV. Their customer service was fantastic, they price matched and gave us extended warranty, and organised delivery despite us living on the second floor. Later we had to use the warranty, and just as excellent service.

Mistreated. 0 score for customer service.
Penrith store are terrible!
I was asked "Go to this counter to get your item"
The man then said "What do you want" I said "An online order"
He said "Well, you need something for me- if you don't have anything I can't help ya" *Clicking his fingers at me*
I had no idea what he was talking about. He then said "Hurry up, you need something for me"
I told him to settle down then realised he means an order number. I went to produce this and he yelled over my shoulder at another person "Can you help this guy" and then he walked away.
I just walked out of the store. It then took 5 BUSINESS DAYS to get someone to reply on Whatsapp.
I honestly can't believe how bad the service is at Harvey Norman. It was the worst retail experience of my life.

Can’t pay.
Spent over 5 grand and then tried to pay. I shop on line a fair bit. But no what I tried I could not manage to pay the bill. They have most complicated options which don’t work for paying.
Then when they asked for feedback I needed to download an app an fill in stuff just to tell them that they were lucky I am persistent.

Worst online experience to date
Ordered an adjustable gym bench. 7 days later got notified that they realised they did not have the item in stock. 14 days later i decide to contact them to get an update, and notice they only have an online 'chat' system, and do not take phone calls. Took close to 2 hours to get through to someone who could not give me an ETA on the item. They refunded me which will take a few days, but in the meantime i've wasted 2 weeks waiting and many hours trying to contact someone. This business is obviously not coping well with current stressors, and have a terrible customer service response.

If I could give their customer service zero I would
Absolutely appalling customer service. No updates on when the order will arrive, if it’s in stock, nothing. Their means of contact via a bot is useless - there’s no follow up. Will never, ever be purchasing from Harvey Norman again.

Lied to about available software
I was sold expensive antivirus software when I bought a laptop. Was told it wasn't available for just one device when it is. Also wasn't told about less expensive Office option. Was fobbed off when I complained.
I believe these lies and subterfuge are caused by low hourly rates and a dependance on commissions. I put my trust in the sales person. Never again and never again at Harvey Norman.

Why oh why didn't I read the reviews first. Like all before me I've had the same poor service from this dodgy company. Very slow service, no number to call, no one will reply to their online message service, blaming covid for their delays. Never again.

Whatever happens don’t complain about Harvey Norman. Not only do they not want my money, they don’t want my order. Since publishing this,they have cancelled my order. After charging my account. If there is a problem, how come I have been charged?
