We are contemplating building with Homebuyers. Are they good, honest and reliable? I've given them my maximum per week I'd like to pay and he seems to try and push me to up it. We have 3 kids, we need to set a limit. I would love to hear peoples honest opinions on the company?

Hi, everyones opinions are going to be different but my opinion of homebuyers is my sales rep is honest and I still call him before I would call any of the others working for homebuyers. Reliability, we did have a few delays at the start of the process but at no fault from homebuyers our house has all the timer roof frame done now while next door are building with affordable living and there site works started before ours but this week only the bricks are going up. No matter which company you end up going with they will all try and onsell or upgrade this and that it's how they all make there money. The price you see is for a standard house unless specified depending what upgrades you want it quickly adds up. For us the experience so far has been good most things have just flowed along. A couple of hiccups aswell but being in the industry I knew what to say and how to quickly get my way and especially with the help from my sales rep. Hope I could be of some help.

Hi everyone, looking to build with this company in the southwest .. just a bit confused though does it come with fences? Painting? Aircon? how much extra did you pay for these types of things?

No. Fencing for me is provided by the developer but I believe in most cases you will have to do this yourself along with the painting. Aircon is also something you have to install after handover. If you shop around you may find a builder that is offering a package which includes aircon. All the best with your build.

My partner purchased her house 3 years ago when the original buyers forfeited. The house was handed over at lock up stage. An inspection was done on the property before moving in. We now have cracks all over the house rendered exterior walls front and back, interior walls in the kitchen bathroom and ceiling- skirting to wall joins, down light fittings are coming loose and paint is chipping away. We have also noticed that the bathroom exhaust fans are not sucking up hot air. Has anyone noticed the same thing with their house and if so who do I contact about this ? I was hoping that something could be done. Houses get put up so fast these days that the quality in most things has lacked. I am reluctant to touch anything or do any work on it.

I have also noticed when gardening I have come across, glass, metal, wires and rubbish under the sand. We have small pets and a child on the way I find this highly unprofessional. Thanks all for your feedback

There should be a 25yr structural guarantee on the house you need to contact the builder to fix. I'm pretty sure homebuyers centre are a real estate agent dale Alcock is the builder at the south west site, not sure if this is across the board.

I signed up with Homebuyers to build the Flutes. I asked the salesperson if the pitched roof was included and he said yes it was. When I received my specs it said 32 course through out. It has taken months of my asking for clarification but the salesperson just got back to me and said it would cost an additional $9000 for the pitched roof. Wish he had been honest before I signed the contract Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to the Builders Registration so would really appreciate any feedback

Go to the master builders association and also advise homebuyers you are going to the MBA about this. i threatened them with the MBA when they would repair my brick work.. 24 hours later it was all fixed! Good luck.

Don't touch resolve if you can avoid it. I am lodging complains with the Finance Industry Ombudsman. Terrible terrible service.
