It's alright price
It's good services and good price, have everything I need for my family, not too far from my house, but take more fuels than others car. Cheap price compare to Toyota. Plenty of rooms inside the car. Interior look nice I will recommend to my friend. Anyway reasonable price for my budget to buy this car

Great SUV but it has flaws
I bought my Honda CRV used from a Honda dealership. There was later an issue with the air con breaking down in really hot weather and some mechanics told me this is common with this car. Luckily, The dealership replaced the compressor under my warranty! Other than this, the car has been fine. I always feel safe and secure in my Honda. It accelerates quickly, the brake system is fantastic even in wet weather, and it never slips or skids. I would have liked more leg room in the back, though. But overall, I am happy I chose this as my first SUV.

3 in the Family Plus Update
Sept2015 purchased top of line CRV as per below comments on it:
Having looked at various medium size SUVs boiled down to two contenders. The Honda CRV Vtil 4 x4. 2.4lt came out the winner as the other contender did not have a full size spare and only a half width arm rest. The attention to finish of vehicle both inside and out is very impressive. Driving comfort is very good with ample leg room even for a tall person as is head room. Performance from the 2.4lt petrol engine is as expected for a modern 4 cyl engine. Could do with a bit mor...Read more
e kick. No noise has to date been detected whilst driving which is also a plus. Service costs are capped by Honda Australia. Running costs. I get approx 8lt per 100 km. we have 3 vehicles of the same model in the family - that is how impressed we are with it. UPDATE JUNE 2018. Just updated to the new Honda CRV. Vti-LX. Same dealer. Only had it one week. So far so good, still impressed with performance and build. Still supplying the VERY important to me full size spare. Once again did my homework and checked other manufacturers. Disappointed in that they still don't supply full size spares. Thank goodness CRV still does. UPDATE APRIL 2022. Though This current model has added features there have been a couple of disappointments/faults that have left me somewhat unhappy. These are when daylight saving started in October 2018 the clock did not automatically adjust as the 2015 model had done. Checked the settings and they were factory set to AUTO. Therefore this rang alarm bells of a problem. The sat.nav. System did not recognise parts of Pacific Highway and gave instruction which did not make sense and therefore would “recalculate” constantly. On checking the system version with Garmin they informed me the version running my sat.nav was 2017 (vehicle is a 2018 build). I contacted Honda Aust explained all to them and their answer was to plug my mobile and that would then show the correct time (and they were serious). Told them I would do this to prove it was only going to work when phone was plugged in which is not something I ever do.. They called again later in the day for result which was yes of course the correct time shows on nav screen as it comes from phone but time on dash remained wrong to which they said the Aus models auto function does not work and time needs to be set manually, this reply was wrong as the owners manually does not have an exclusion of this function for Aus models. They then suggested I take car to dealer service for them to check. Dealer were absolutely wonderful, 1. They updated the nav to 2018 tested on highway still recalculating. Updated again in Sept 2018 to the Garmin “2019” update, made no difference so Garmin magic 2022 version released in 2018 is a dud. 2. Dealer was dumbfounded that the Auto daylight saving time would not function. In short back to Honda Aust for a second time....repeat the story from start to finish. They confirmed dealer had updated the nav system and then sent me instructions on how to manually adjust the time via email insisting there was no auto capability. By now I was truly annoyed by this insulting set of instructions. I replied that I would now escalate my complaint to the parent company in Japan. Reply received from Honda Aust. was that it is customary for all communications to Japan to be run by Aust first. Replied they had been given two chances to come up with a fix and having failed I was going direct to Japan. Waited a further month and having heard nothing further from Honda Aus I have now written to Japan and hope to get a positive reply. My feeling is the time problem lies with the Sat.nav programming which they should be able to fix easily. NOTE: all the dealers show CRVs had failed to update when they checked at my request. More to follow.........if and when I get a reply from Japan.

Looks good but a tad sluggish.
This has heaps of internal space and a huge boot but the motor is sluggish as compared to something like the CX5. I enjoyed driving this car for three years but I wanted more oomph so I traded it. I'd probably buy another one if they upgraded the engine. Headroom and legroom is good. And a few years later I wish I’d kept it. Expensive mistake on my part. CX5 is lovely but too small

Perfect!
It's a very good family car! Economic, spacey, looking good, good services after purchase, happy with it & don't need too change, still good as new! Good customer services in the store, good car when you have children! No problem at all in few years! It's basic model but really good!

Love it
We bought it to accommodate our new born son and his pram. We took the car in the morning & drove off to Sydney from Melbourne straightaway. It was such a fun ride. Honda CRV is affordable. We bought the CRV instead of the HRV because of the boot space. We are currently on a capped service of $229 every 6 months. Highly recommend.

Didn't miss a beat-great
We have had our Honda CRV 2007 since new. It was a city car for the first few years and then we moved to the country and we put it through a beating using it as if it was a Toyota Land cruiser! Loaded water soil, toed branches and trailers full of wood and it didn't miss a beat. Even the interior has remained intact and I have three dogs! I know it cost a bit more but in the long run it's worth it . A really comfortable car to drive no major break downs, except service. 135,000 km and still powering on.

Why did they remove the picnic table?
There is nothing about the new CRV not to love....except the sad loss of the picnic table.
Oh here we go again....I have said all I need to say in 17 words and I'm expected to waffle on for another 11 words, adding nothing worthwhile to my highly complimentary review.

Viberstion while in an ideal position
I am having Honda CRV VTI L Nov 2012(13) model. 50k in odometer. When I stop the car in the signal, I can feel the vibration (especially when the Ac is on) in my gear, steering, seat (massage) as well as in my right door(hand rest area). An year before I raised it as an issue with the dealer and they have advaised me to use premium petrol still no luck. Now dealer saying it is normal for the 4.5 year old car. still under manufacture warranty. Another service guy said it could be a mount problem still can't help bcz Honda won't replace until it fully broken. I am not happy to leave it and chasing them! Luckily service manager is good, chasing him to fix .

Excellent SUV
I adore this car, but!
Sadly, there's always a 'but!', isn't there?
The blind spots are pretty bad. My husband has dented it three times and whilst he's no Daniel Riccardo, I can't entirely blame him/ The shapes of the lower half of the car protrude and there's no way to tell how close you are (unless you're reversing thanks to the fabulous rear view cam).
I also don't love the touch-screen audio/BT system. It's very clunky to use, as are the buttons on the side of it.
Aside from those two gripes, it's a brilliant car.
And SO many cup holders!!

Best car I've ever owned
This car is 11 years old now and it is still the best car I have ever owned. I've had Audi's, BMW's, VW's and 3 Hondas. All the hondas have been great, but this one is amazing. I have done 50,000ks in the last 3 years and it has been used and abused like nothing else. It's moved house, towed things it shouldn't, had oversize items strapped on the roof, loads of dirty bikes (4 is the record so far)... It has taken every bit of abuse with ease. Everything still works. It drives very well (apart from the very occasional diff shudder) and has cost ...Read more
nothing except for a set of tyres and headlight bulbs. It's comfy - have driven it to Melbourne (9 hours) and got out feeling fine at the other end. The back seats are average for an adult - but they recline so they are great for kids. My daughter is 5 and her booster seat reclines with the seat - she still sleeps for an hour or two at a time in it, with no problems! It's quiet - with the right tyres. It had Bridgestone Duellers when I got and the noise was terrible. Kumho KH17's I replaced them with were quiet, good in all conditions and lasted 50'000 ks. Have just fitted Kumho KH27's and they are good too. It also drives like a normal car. Round town it is great. Tried a V6 Hyundai when buying this and it felt like a tank in comparison. With the seats down, the back is HUGE. Like a tardis - I once collected a dishwasher, rangehodd, oven, cooktop and some other random stuff from GoodGuys and got all of it in the car, one load.Similar opinion? Good family car
We purchased this car as we were expected a first child and need a bit more space.
Overall the car offers excellent ergonomics, comfortable for long drives and being higher off the ground is easy to get in and out of. The boot offers plenty of space for prams, shopping and with the addition of the seats folding flat and into various positions they offer allot of flexibility.
Fuel economy is around 9.0l to 100km in city driving.
The car has been trouble free and now after just a few years, a few wear and tear things as you would expect...Read more
are showing, such as tires, and perhaps the clutch which is a little premature. The base model did not come with a rear cargo cover which is poor of Honda, you need to pay extra for this. However is does come with a full size spare which is a rarity these days. Overall a good reliable car at a reasonable price and backed by Honda.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very advanced system, great car!
Just switched to this car. The car runs very smoothly and produces minimal noise, and has a beautiful exterior. The interior system contains a touch screen, very modern and clean. It's also very spacious inside the car. Furthermore, Honda provides great car servicing too. A very reliable car overall, at a good price!

One the best value SUV's in the market
Just purchased our 2nd CRV as we were so impressed with the first one. Honda are a very reliable car packed with great features for its price bracket. The SUV is perfect size for our young family, easily fits 2 large baby seats across the back seat and the boot space is large enough to fit a double pram and extra space for shopping bags..etc
We got the 4WD 2.4L VTi-L variant, and manage around 500km to a tank (city driving). The addition of a digital radio would be a welcome addition, other than that can't really fault any of the included features.

Great Car
A comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. Everything about the interior is great, colour, material, quality and design. Very reliable. Reasonable running costs, approx. 11L/100k local and approx. 9L/100K long distance driving. You wouldn't regret the purchase. Boot space is very generous and lots of extra features that make it a great car.

Comfy for long road trip
Took a road trip with family Melbourne to Sydney.(2wd)
Positives- overall good experience. Comfy and this SUV has the most spacious legroom compared to others. Had plenty of storage space in the boot. Comfortable enough for long drive as we started at 4:40 in the morning and reached the destination at 5:30pm. That is a total of 890kms with adequate breaks.
Negatives- dashboard is plasticky. Average mileage was 7.8litres/100kms.

Love my Honda CRV. A great and reliable car.
I have bought a second hand Honda CRV. I do love the car. It was recommended as a reliable and long lived car. It is all of this and more. Only issue is finding a reliable and trustworthy dealer service centre. I am based in the western suburbs, I have not been able to find one yet. Only negative is leg room in front seats is somewhat limited for long legged people, loads of space in the back seat and back area. Highly recommend anybody thinking of buying one.

Please help! I have owned 2 Honda CRVs. One was 2004 I have the 2014. Both have the shudder that Honda have claimed they know about. Does this mean they are doing something about it. Was so disappointed when the shudder started on this one... couldn’t believe that it would happen again. I just think it’s not fair that they know about this problem and are still selling them.
