Great little vacuum for quick clean ups
This vacuum cleaner has been quite handy for quickly cleaning up a small spill or the back door-way where grass and dirt are constantly being walked across the tiles. It does a pretty good job of removing most loose debris from carpeted floor, but occasionally something might need to be gone over a few times to pick up everything. The detachable hand-held section makes it a breeze to get into tighter areas and it is great for quickly going over the car floor with. I would definitely reccommend this Vacuum for anyone looking for a small vacuum to quickly run over the floors when you don't feel like plugging in the full powered vacuum.

Just average
I'm not totally happy with the performance.
I purchased the stick vac to pick up the mess the dog tends to bring inside. Worked well for the first few times but find I have to stop and clean out the chute and pipe to the dust collector.
It is easy to use and light enough for the small jobs, does have a small whistle to it, which can get annoying.
I use it on tiles and carpet, so people with a small unit would find it wonderful and easy to store compared to a bigger vacuum cleaner.

Cheap and Does the work
Better than my old more expensive vacuum. Have carpet in apartment and lot of dust around so must use it daily. Wasn't sure it was working so quiet and light but it's excellent. Bought it on sale with a further reduction by very helpful salesman who said its worth the money

Love it!!!
This is my first stick vac and I love it. I bought it just to do touch up cleans as I also have a corded dyson. I haven't used my dyson now for 3 months. I use this hoover every day as it is so quick and easy to use and does a great job (if you keep the dustbin clean). I get through my whole house 3bedroom 2bathroom without the battery going flat.

I Never Thought I Could Love A Vacuum Cleaner
It's so light and easy to use. I use it mostly for the tiled areas and stairs, areas where it excels. I've kept my bigger vacuum for the carpeted areas. I love the HEPA filter too. I live with a dog and cat, so vacuuming furniture especially is less of a chore.
Cons - I'm finding it difficult to remove the dust cup for emptying.

Does not suck up dirt?
I purchased the vacuum a few months ago. I realised that the product does not do its job well and it is becoming worse. It cannot suck the dirt up and whenever I lift the vacuum stick above the ground the dirt is expelled from the floor piece. I have made sure the brush is clean and the dirt storage compartment is empty and it is still the same. Now waiting for Godfrey's response not sure if they are helpful.

Great Product
Doesn't replace my Hoover barrel vac but is great for every day use. About once a month still have to use my barrel vac for a deep clean. Wish the charger lasted longer and dust collection compartment was larger. If they were perhaps the weight of the unit would increase. . Light and easy to use. Being a partial paraplegic I find it invaluable. At this point in time still working ok but reading other reviews I will be interested to see how it goes a bit later on.

Would be good if it ever worked
When this vacume worked I loved it, it worked well on carpet and hard floors. After 2 months though I had to take it in as it stopped working, they replaced the charger unit then three months later it stopped working again but I was overseas and had to get the warranty extended. They replaced the spinning brush upon my return. Then a couple months after that it stopped working again but it was out of warranty and I got no response from Godfrey's. Its been sitting in my kitchen for months, works on the odd occasion but is very weak. Overall a piece of useless junk.

Well made and works well
I brought one a little while a go for $20 AUD second hand. ( wasn't working well - the motor head was not working and it did vacuum well)
I stripped down and was amazed at how well unit was made.
It has quality plastics, it has quality engineering and is well designed.
The head stripped and was rebuilt easily. The HEPA filter must be cleaned \ blown out \ replaced one a month
Performance is great. Good suction, ease of cleaning the filter, battery life.
and it not a bad looking machine.
If you looking for a stick vacuum before you spend $600 on a brand name give this little sucker a go.... yes it does.... Suck very well.

Great for price but don't forget to clean air filter!
I paid $99 at Godfreys at their Christmas sale and it worked great for a month or so, but then it started to loose suction and wouldn't pick up bits and pieces (like sand etc). Only after I decided to pull apart filter assembly I realized that dust clogs significantly air filter (HEPA filter which I wasn't aware can be pulled apart) so it's not enough to just empty the dust cup, but also to pull apart air filter and clean it from time to time. And also to clean cyclone cone every time because there can be quite a bit of stuff in there afte...Read more
r each use. In short, I SHOULD HAVE READ the manual :-) it's all explained there but I guess it is never too late. I have tiles and small carpet and it works great for me. I hardly use big vacuum cleaner it's so much easier to just grab cordless and spot clean when I notice something on the floor. Attachments are very handy too. Overall, I think it's excellent for what I paid for it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Stick Vacuum
We bought this stick vacuum cleaner for our daughter and her family to clean up after our grandchildren. Initially I thought it was going to be a waste of money as I am not overly fussed on rechargeable tools of any sort because in my view they need to be used on a regular basis to keep the battery conditioned.
Well I now have to eat my words, this little stick Vacuum does a fantastic job for what we bought it for, my daughters tiled & carpeted floors look very clean (including the removal of the cat hair) and it's a fight between our 2 x Grandsons (6 & 4) as to whose turn it is to use the vacuum cleaner.
The added advantage of it being a rechargeable is that because we can safely let the 2 x boys use it.

This little vacuum is so good that I am going to buy one for myself the next time Godfrey's have them on special again.
I finally got one for myself, Godreys have them on special with a free steam mop until 28/2/18 unless sold out.
My daughters 5210 is still going as good as the day we bought it.
Last Friday (02/03/2018) I went to use my Dyson DC8 Vacuum cleaner and one of the pins on the power plug was broken. I was stuck with using the Hoover Heritage 5210 until I could fix the plug on the D... Read more
yson. I thought it would take me forever to clean the tiles & carpet in our 3 bedroom house because of the difference in head size between the two. Wow!, it took me no longer than it does with the Dyson and the battery only gave out with about .5m x 1.0m of carpet in the last bedroom left to go. The amount of fluff and dirt it picked up for a house that had been closed up with the A/C running for almost the whole week because of the heat & humidity was amazing, I was really shocked at how good this little vacuum cleaner is.Similar opinion? Better than expected
Better than my old more expensive vacuum. Have carpet in 65sq apartment and I shed a lot of hair so must use it daily. Wasn't sure it was working so quiet and light but it's excellent. Bought it on sale with a further reduction by v helpful salesman. Godfreys at Bondi Junction - highly recommend.

It Sucks But, Not The Dirt On The Floor
Hoover in Australia is not like Hoover back in the UK !
Its strange for me to say but, this Hoover SUCKS and that's not the dirt on the floor.
Its suction is very poor, branded stickers look like they were added last minute by an amateur sticker fixer and its really crap quality.
I always thought Hoover was Hoover however, someone in Australia has done a Hoover Manoeuvre on this vacuum.

Very Handy
Nice and light, easy to maneuver. I use it to vacuum my lounge carpet around 3x a week - it picks up all the dirt and dust to keep the area cleaner for my baby that is crawling around. It's excellent for being able to grab it quickly to pick up any food crumbs from my other children as well.

Great vacuum cleaner
I am very happy with both the performance and suction. That it is so light and easy to maneuver is definitely what I needed. I use it on my carpets and find that it does pick up everything. I purchased it as a result of seeing one that a friend uses and just had to have one. I have not found anything I do not like with it.

Very Happy Camper
Originally purchased this for the caravan but it has become one of our most useful pieces of cleaning equipment and has been in daily use in the house for almost 18 months so far.
I would not recommend it to replace a full size cleaner for a carpeted house but for a two-bedroom unit with mostly tiled floors it is fantastic. It is light, easy to maneuver and its suction is adequate for most light cleaning tasks. We have a couple of small dogs who are apt to bring in bits and pieces of grass clippings and stuff, which look awful on the whi...Read more
te tiles, so the convenience of the quick run over with the Stick is a godsend. We still bring in the big Dyson on a weekly basis to do the carpets and rugs properly but for what it is, and what it cost, the Hoover Stick is a huge labour saving device.2 comments

chine when I located the original instructions and discovered that it had come with a 2-year warranty, so I took it in to Godfreys and it was returned a week later with a brand new power head.Just as a follow up - after almost 4 years this is still going strong - the battery life is shorter now but that's to be expected, I still stand by my original review

Love my hoover stick vacuum
I bought this great cleaner this week from Godfrey's in Miranda $129 on special uaually $199
IT picks up everything on carpeted and tile floors we have two cats and I was amazed at how much hair this little beauty collects seeing as I put the carpet sweeper over everyday before getting it
The hoover stick Heritage vacuum is a really nice looking machine so I don't mind it in the lounge room for easy use
It is easy to put together, and very easy to empty
The suction is really good with both the stick vacuum and the hand held BUT once the 3...Read more

Worst stick vacuum ever!
Perhaps I bought a faulty unit, but most of the time the dirt and dust doesn't make it into the dirt collector compartment (which is tiny anyway) - it just sits in the rollers and falls back out onto the floor. I have tiles in the kitchen and carpet in the living and dining rooms. I haven't even bothered to try and use it in the upstairs bedrooms. Basically it's been sitting in the spare room for years and I only decided to write this review as we are moving and I found it in the cupboard. My fault for not returning it while it was still under warranty!

How to the battery on the hand vacuum Heritage 5210

you need to clarify what you mean
The battery is flat on my Hoover Heritage5210, can I buy a replace battery, if so where from?
Paul
I would go to Jaycar electronics. If you remove the battery and give them a call they can tell you if they have it in stock. Ebay after that if no success

How do I detach the dust container from the hand hold
3 answers
the red button above the light display (that shows recharge) will pop it open to empty. it pops back together easily
Godfrey G.Hoover
Hi Maria,
The red button is the on/off button for the handvac.
To release the dust bin you press down the light just below the red button.

It is designed to be a 1 year throw away.... shame when it worked it was great...
