CAR FOR ALL SEASONS
A great car to drive. Responsive engine. Economical. Easy to use cruise control. Handles well both in cities and on the open road. Good driving position with multiple seating range - up, down, reclining. Excellent front seats with efficient wrap arounds. A more expensive option includes electric adjustment on driver's seat. Took me a while to master the sound system, but it is quite good. The rear seating is adjustable, allowing more room in the generous boot. Non-leather seating suits me fine. Economical and yet powerful 2 litre diesel engine...Read more

Surprisingly spacious and pleasant
Quiet car. Good height from the ground. Great drive (but gets loud when going uphill slight elevation). Comfy seats and nice back support. Love seeing it every time I’m walking up to it - it’s a great reliable car. I love it. Good space at the back seats. Good trunk space too! Happy with our Tucson.

Great SUV for great price
Bought in Dec and already 15000km. Great car. Low road noise. Awesome inclusions in Highlander. Love the glass sunroof and heated/cooled seats. Runs economically. Plenty of leg and head room. Only neg to us was that you can't have digital speed and distance to empty on display at same time like our previous cars. Storage area is good but if travelling with more than 3 people luggage space could be an issue. Would definitely recommend. Very happy with purchase.

Highlander 2017 love it!
Love this vehicle. The heated seats are worth every cent. Leather seats with air conditioned seats too. Sleek inside easy to operate media system. Dash is very easy to use. Room back seat. The rear seats recline. Spacious boot with cover. Our second Hyundai and now we are spoilt we will will always by Hyundai as the warm seats are just so good on a sore back.

Absolutely Fantastic Car
Great Car, we own the bottom of the range, but so many extras and so comfortable, it is by far the best value for money.

Economical with loads of features
The Tucson is very economical and has plenty of seat room and a great size boot. Quiet engine and some great features especially the auto sensory wipers and auto opening tailgate. The only things that could change to make it 5 star is the rear seat belt clip could be higher rather than set into the rear seat. This makes it difficult to buckle up and the fuel light.needs to be higher as it can't be seen from seat position used for driving. There has been a number of times I have been low on petrol and I didn't notice the fuel guage light. Will definitely consider buying another when this lease is up.

Minimal Issues
Overall look of the car is great. Good fuel economy. Easy to clean and keep clean. Bonus that it had apple car play- does have issues with needing updates and can often time out if an update is need which you then need to take ghe car to Hyundai for them to update it.

20,000km service (3rd) Still no change with dual clutch transmission (intermittent) lag from a stationary position issue. After the 2nd 10,000km service ($290) I brought this to the attention of staff at TYNAN motors prior to service and the response on collection was that no problem could be found?? Surprise!! After another 10,000km with no change at all to the lag I requested a test drive with a TYNAN mechanic who occupied the passenger's seat acknowledged the lag but again on pick up no issues???? I like the moon roof
We bough the Tucson Active X with moon roof and it was really value for money. It's one of the biggest in the market and it can open all the way back as well. Makes the car so much breezy and the natural light is excellent with the moon roof.

A perfect purchase
Excellent value for money.
We purchased the Tuscon Highlander.
Very comfortable, easy to drive.
Servicing has been a breeze and it has been very well priced when compared to other brands.
Fuel economy in the city is very good and even better on the open road
Handles really well with loads of space.
We have had no trouble from the car at all.
Extremely happy with our purchase.

Great Car & very competitive in the market
Having searched the market for a new family car and deciding on the Tucson we are very happy. The Car and it’s inclusions are very competitive with others in the market and has great value for money. One thing we really liked with the Tucson is the room still available to the front passenger despite having a rear facing car seat behind and also the air con vents for the back seat passengers. In comparison with other models we found the air con didn’t circulate well enough for the back seat and the passenger seat had to be very close to the dashboard with no leg room once our Newborns car seat was in.

Issues with radio reception
I have just bought a Hyundai Tuscon and as soon as I drove away the radio reception has been terrible. My old 1999 camry had better reception than this bran new car!
All the other features of the car seem great but annoyed that the radio which would be the cheapest part of the car doesn't even work! Will be going back to the dealer.

Engine a bit weak but still a good drive
It's a good SUV for this price especially with the latest technology and leather seats and 18 inch alloys. However, the engine performance is a bit weak. The manual gear box is a bit hard to function as well as it's very easy to stall. Still a good buy in comparison to other same price SUV in the market.

Great to drive, super comfortable but some issues with phone connectivity
This car is very comfortable and easy to drive. It chews through more fuel than the stats indicated and what I expected though. It has issues with my phone continually disconnecting and reconnecting. The small display for time could be improved. The added extras are thoughtful and practical. Overall a good value car for the money.

Good drive so far after 11 months
I traded in my old ix30 last year for tuscon and fell in love with it. Not only does it have a larger leg room and cargo space, it also looks for sleek. One feature I like is the built in Android Car Play where you could use your mobile phone as a GPS and display it on the LCD screen.

My 3rd Hyundai SUV, but my first Turbo Diesel
My 2 previous SUV's have been Hyundai IX35's and I have been very happy with each of them.
However I decided to update and bought the 2017 Automatic Tucson Active Turbo Diesel AWD in Pure White.
I had a strict budget so I no longer have heated leather seats, leather steering wheel or a CD Player. I can manage without the leather upholstery and the fabric seats are very comfortable and not too hot when the car is parked in the sun. However I do miss the CD player!
I like the general look of the Tucson with a similarity in lines to the IX35...Read more

Here comes the fantastic Tucson
I bought Hyundai's Tucson last May after a long research among its peers like, RAV4, XTrail, Sportage, CX5. I feel very happy and satisfied with my purchase as Tucson not only has the most beautiful looks form outside but also has a beautiful interiors. Its steering controls, cabin lightings, huge boot space are just few of its advantages.

great car and very reliable
The performance of the car so far is great and doesn't make much sound when driving. No problems so far and service is at a capped price. The exterior is very nice and looks amazing but the only feature I dislike about this car is that the screen is a little slow and the reverse camera isn't that clear and it is blurry. Apart from that the car is very spacious and the boot is big and very handy.

Awesome Vehicle
Leather seating, extremely comfortable long distance travelling. Alot of keg room in the front and back. Smooth and very quiet on the road. Alot of boot space. Very good on fuel. We have the metallic grey, beautiful paintwork and always looks clean. A great family car. Definitely recommend the rubber boot mat.

John K.asked
is the Tucson allwheel drive?
grahamasked
I might be going crazy but Im pretty sure my Highlander (2017) version has the idle stop and go feature however when I went to drive the car today it was running a little weird and I realised that the feature wasnt engaging. So I have two questions 1) does it have the feature ( or Im losing my mind) 2) if it does is there a button I may have accidentally pressed to turn it off or do I need to speak to my dealer? Thanks

Do others have problems moving the transmission from park? Mine constantly gets stuck in park, it eventually moves after a couple of mins

Hi Rod & Marion,
No I don’t mines a manual....
Hi Rod, we don’t have that issue at all, ours is a 2022 highlander, automatic.
Have you contacted your nearest Hyundai service centre to query about it? Hopefully it can be fixed for you, best of luck.
Thanks for that, Hyundai has tried to fix it but so far only partly successful
