Dealers make owning a Jeep unbearable.
OK, so when you buy a Jeep, you don’t expect it to be perfect. They’re complicated vehicles, and there’s a less than perfect reputation. But you figure, “I can deal with a couple of mishaps/flaws, I’m sure they’ll be sorted under warranty”.
If only the dealerships held up their end of the bargain.
In 4 years of ownership, across several Jeep dealerships in Melbourne, the service departments I’ve visited have all proven to lack critical technical knowledge. They will fob off your concerns, try to blame you for faults. You’ll be told a fa...Read more
ult is repaired, only to find it still present before you’ve left the dealership driveway. You’ll receive a shrug of the shoulders, or you’ll be told a bald-faced lie. You’ll have to return over and over and over again to get a single fault remedied. Owning a new Jeep will rob you of countless hours while you go around in circles trying to get problems resolved. You’ll experience anger, frustration and regret. You’ll be treated like an idiot and you’ll have to fight hard to have reasonable expectations met. You’ll become well versed in Australian Consumer Law and the processes of your states Fair Trading/Consumer Affairs body, and you’ll learn who Ashton Wood is, and that he can be a useful ally when you’re struggling to get a resolution from Jeep. You’ll learn how to find Jeep repair bulletins on the internet, so you can diagnose the faults in your own vehicle and then print out the bulletin and hand it to the service department so they know what needs to be done.Similar opinion? Mornington Auto Group and FCA Australia
NEVER BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP - NEVER BUY A JEEP!!
Mornington Auto Group have ZERO interest in customer service and long term customer retention.
A fault at delivery with the drivers seat in my brand new Jeep Compass Trailhawk ended up in court with VCAT 9 months later, and still they refuse to rectify the issue to my satisfaction, let alone the VCAT Ruling.
The so called Service Manager ( what a joke of a title ) ducks and weaves like a pro, when the issue could have been rectified so easily and a negative experience turned into a positive...Read more

Great Customer Service
It comes as no surprise to many Jeep owners that there is a lot to be desired in relation to after sales support from FCA Australia and Jeep dealerships across Australia.
That said, I have found that City Jeep in Southbank Melbourne is the exception to this issue.
They have a good team of people in both the parts and service areas. Easy to deal with and the service team even listen to you, when your vehicle is in for warranty reasons.
Today, it was time to pick up those regular consumable parts and GK at the counter was courteous, profess...Read more

Try City Jeep Southbank
City Jeep enabled a smooth pathway for me to purchase an immaculate used Cherokee limited.
Mark Turudia is the go to guy in my books- friendly, over 30 years experience in the industry and respects the consumers need to think and process all options.
This aspect imperative as we know purchasing can be overwhelming .
Beautiful environment as well, welcoming and professional.
Nick fantastic with extended Warranty options, breaks it all down so you are informed and he showed a genuine interest in the customer.
Please consider City JEEP if a Jeep is what you are looking for.
Thanks again Mark- one phone call led me to my beautiful well kept Jeep that was within budget as well.
Grateful purchaser

Jeep Keema Service centre can't fix Jeeps
I had reported the fact that the ETC and engine light is on, which was normally triggered whilst going up-hill and this resulted in a loss of power. Seeing that this is a Jeep Vehicle and I had gone directly to a Jeep registered service centre with the understanding that they would know best. After leaving the car with them for over 3 days they had finally come back with a diagnostic which was supposed to fix my car but at a sum of $3,853 to replace the fuel pressure sensor and fuel rail + $304 for diagnostic. At this point I had questioned wha...Read more
t the fuel rail had to do with the electronic throttle control warning light and [name removed] had assured me that they had done the diagnostics and was positive that the issue was to do with the Fuel Rail. Unconvinced I had advised that I needed to come back when I had the money and sure enough I returned on the 4/05/2018 and went through with the service as advised by Keema Jeep Service Centre. I picked up the car on the following week on the 10/05/2018 and within 30mins of driving he engine light had come on again and I had still experienced the same loss of power and worse yet a vibrating noise coming from the engine bay. Needless to say I was very unhappy about this and went back next morning to complain to the manager and ask for a refund as they had replaced a part which had absolutely nothing wrong with the part and not to mention the cost it had incurred me already and placed me in an even worse position than I started off with. [name removed] the manager on duty had said to me that they will fix the problem and that I just had to give them another look at the car, he then tried to tell me that the car had other error codes which was absolute fabrication on his behalf as the car was showing the exact same issues. They went ahead and performed a transmission service and I picked the car up that evening which again sure enough a week later the engine light came on again and the ETC light has come on again and they take no responsibility for it just continue to ask me to let them try again....Similar opinion? Werribee Jeep - terrible customer service
I went into Jeep wanting to have a look at a specific Jeep because I want to save up and buy soon but also wanted to test drive to see how it drove as I drive a swift which is completely different cars and the car sales man was useless. I was the one asking questions. Didn’t want to take me for a drive and made me uncomfortable. Spent 5minutes looking at the car because I was too uncomfortable. Going somewhere else where they can actually help me and make a future sale.

Do NOT buy from McCarrolls Jeep Newcastle
We went to McCarrolls jeep in Newcastle. We were prepared to buy a new jeep within 24 hours with the right deal. We got to a "rock bottom" deal on a vehicle. We were prepared to come back the next day to purchase the jeep. When we got home we pulled that jeep up online to find they had just listed it at 100 cheaper then what they had just come to deal with us. Meaning anyone could have saved the time we spent in the dealership and just purchased it for 100 dollars cheaper without the hassle. We contacted them to express our disappointment with ...Read more
this process and they really didn't care. Many excuses such as they put that out there to draw in some more customers but weren't going to sell it for their online price??? That is folks how they "snare" customers to get them into the showroom. Frankly when caught out their attitude is just poor - as in they truly don't care if you walk out the door on them. Happily we went to Hunter Star Jeep instead and had the opposite experience - their staff was wonderful, upfront, and a pleasure to work with. We ended up getting the exact same jeep and saved about 4,000 dollars doing through them. Well done Hunter Star!! We will back to you for all our servicing.Similar opinion? City Jeep - Melbourne. Avoid servicing if possible
Regularly serviced Jeep Patriot at City Jeep. They made small mistakes by leaving sump pump loose (oil marks in driveway), side panel of seat broken after fixing some winder issue in left door, but all seemed reasonably OK - only small issues. After warranty period a very different issue. Car went in for regular service with no issues -just the usual service. I receive a call to ask if they can flush driving column fluid - for an extra few dollars I foolishly decided to go ahead. I was advised not too long later that the car was unsafe to drive...Read more
due to steering column damage that was beyond repair causing excessive and unsafe driving with the vehicle. - prior to the service I had no problems. The same driving capacity for the last 3 -4 years whilst in warranty. After approx. 2-3 weeks in the workshop this was fixed for close to $1400 including service. Then all the other problems started 2 weeks afterwards - various engine warning lights, no acceleration. Obviously not a Jeep servicing issue!!! Approx $400 later, and 2weeks afterwards, same issue - various engine warning lights and no acceleration. This time they tell me it is the throttle that needs replacing (approx. $950). The obvious question why was this not picked up initially - answer - The Error Code did not come up. I was warned about Jeep and the various electrical issues after I bought the new car. I traded the car in for a Mazda CX5 and also advised a colleague not to get a Jeep - he also bought a Mazda CX5.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst experience ever
Really unprofessional service. They broke my windshield when repairing my brand New Jeep Grand Cherokee after a sensor fault. They are refusing to replace the windshield. I'm taking them to the ombudsman to get restitution.

Adelaide City Jeep Service such a bad experience never again!
We took our Jeep Compass for 60K service + electrical issues.
- Despite providing details regarding the electrical issues during the booking process when we got there we were told that they would not be able to service our car and fix the issues on the same day. Clearly the service representatives cared more about their priorities and had no interest in assisting the customer.
- We were told that we would be consulted if any parts needed changing. We got there to discover that they did change a part which costed us $400.
- The customer...Read more

Don't waste your time or money. Essendon Jeep.
I brought in my 07 Fiat. Told them what the problems were with my car and that I needed my 120k service, happy to take on the job. After having my car for 5 days, they informed me that they didn't have the correct equipment to find the problems and they broke an engine piece, after lying to me and saying it "fell apart in their hand". Then got charged an extra $400 on top of an already expensive bill for what they broke! Didn't install it properly and sent me away in my car in a worse state than when I gave it to them. Really disappointed in their service. Don't care at all about their customers.

So Far So Good
Purchased a new Jeep from Peter Stevens in Ballarat and can only praise the staff for a very satisfying experience.
From the sales staff to the finance staff, the whole experience was simple and straight forward and the vehicle is everything I had hoped it would be. A great looking vehicle that just performs like a dream. I will admit to being a little nervous when buying the Jeep, but if my experience to date is any indication then it was worth it and then some!

nd 25,000 k's since I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary. The car is still great to drive and hasn't given any trouble at all. In preparation for retirement we bought a 15' "practice caravan" and the trips we have done have been a joy. The Jeep returns about 11 litres per 100 k's on the highway and with so much torque you sometimes forget the caravan is even there. Cruising at 100 kph is effortless. The Jeep is just so comfortable to travel in and trips are so easy. I travel from Melbourne to Ballarat to have the vehicle serviced by Peter Stevens. They have proven very trustworthy and by the time I have been dropped off at the shops and had breakfast, then picked up, the car is ready to go. Their pricing is also very competitive and well and truly covers the cost of the trip to Ballarat. So to date, my Jeep experience continues to be - So Far So Good!Similar opinion? They lost my car keys!
I took my car in for a 120,000 kms to Essendon Jeep. I went back to pick it up - they lost my car keys! They also didn't have all of the parts to complete my service. They wasted my time - a complete disregard for customer service!

Dishonest and unhelpful
Ii bought a demo car 2 years ago. There was damage which they promised to fix but failed to do so every time I took the car back.
The guy from finances convinced us to get a loan with Power Torque stating they have best interest rates. I only realized after that I'm paying double interest in comparison to many other places. To refinance with someone else they want me to pay 30% of interest for the term of the loan. What a rip off. $10,000 extra interest for 5 years.
We are also noticing a car is making a strange noise. We have told them before every service gets booked and they have failed to even look at it.
Very unhappy!
Jeep staff are very rude and dishonest!

Questions & Answers
Allan Hicksonasked
Can anyone tell me why Peter Stevens Ballarat no longer has the franchise to service Jeep, Fiat and more. They had a brand new service centre and as far as I was aware all was well. Went down this morning to book in for a service only to find that I now have to go to Bendigo or Werribee. I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They are a beautiful car to drive as well as having plenty of power and good fuel economy. Pain when you have to travel 100 kilometres or more each way to get a service. Appears ridiculous that a town as big as Ballarat looses a service franchise for Jeep, Fiat and more.
