I'd like to thank Chrysler and their trained mechanics at Know Chrysler in Knox VIC and also Northern Motor Group in Bundoora VIC - you have no clue how to fix your own vehicles!!!

I bought the short wheel base Wrangler Overland as a second vehicle. I fell in love with the driving experience so much that my Mercedes has been sitting in the garage for months on the battery charger.....The ride takes a little to get used to after driving a sedan, but the high position is very comfortable.....My 85 year old mother loves riding in it and has no problem climbing in.....The interior and options in the Overland makes it worth the extra money. Purchased new in 2014 the jeep drives well good power from petrol engine and manual transmission plenty legroom good dash lay out and ease of use . Sat Nav ok but don't expect voice recognition to work ask for a street in own town you will end up ringing some one in japan. I bought my JK new at the start of 2014. Like 99% of new cars these days it is reliable and has done all that I've asked of it from day one.
What I like:
Powerful but fuel efficient 3.6l petrol. I bought a diablo tuning package for it (plug and play) and it has transformed both the power/torque and fuel consumption. Bought my current Wrangler as a used with 50K on the odometer. It had never been off the road before I got it. It's 4 years later now and I've done over 170K in it. Okay for starters this is a proper 4x4 and not a AWD. It has Solid axles front and rear with a strong transmission with transfer case. The Engines power and torque are average at best, but it's an under-stressed 3.8l V6 pushed 1.8 tons around. This is now my third review on this vehicle. It just gets better. Have now done 155k and not one single problem. 20 inch coopers, twin exhaust, CAI, throttle body spacer and 10mm ignition leads and I get 12/100 round town and 11/100 open road at 100 - 105 kph and also drives a lot smoother. In addition use 95 octane and this greatly improved economy and smoothness. It has adequate power and torque but a bit sluggish on open road - overtaking is definitely a 5th gear job. I got the first of the JK model built Oct 2012 as a MY13 model, an Overland 2-door with luxury touches and ample smooth petrol power. Never a problem, just start-n-go-n-go. It was used as an offroader, not a city commuter. More capable than most rigs right out of the showroom, in fact it stayed that way and kept up with some heavily modified others on the track. Rented one in Canada, as you do, and drove around for a week on the Banff National Park. Up and down the Rockies on the Icefields Parkway, down through the Kicking Horse Pass and some off the turf tracks. Needed to go slower off the turf. It was a 6 cylinder petrol 4 door. 11 L/100Km. Plenty of power. Enjoyed the sound system and the huge selection of stations on the Jeep entertainment system.

Customer service terrible. Constantly something wrong with it. Zero spare parts in the country apparently. Called advising of issue & exact part required, booked in to repair 1st available day which was 10days (surprisingly this was not the shock considering how often mines in for repair!!) shock came when they called to tell me what part they needed & it wasn't available for 2months! Ok.. to all you people out there complaining "my jeep doesn't handle well onroad" ... You fools, it's a 4x4 !!!!! If u want full comfort buy a bloody car. I have a 2011 JK 2dr and I LOVE IT.. 70000 k's in 2 yrs and travelled all around and across the centre of Aust and not had one problem.. except now I have to change the standard suspension because it's shot .. but that's it.
