I love my J9.3 but recently it has begun to leak water from the bottom immediately after I brew a coffee. Is it likely to be a seal / o ring that needs replacing? Thanks

Dear Jude.B
Thank you for your question, could you kindly confirm if the machine is leaking clear water or coffee water? and if clear is it around the water tank side?
Look forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue.

this machine might be clogged at brew group, causing pressure built-up at pressurised water line around ceramic valve, where it potentially leaks.
Recommend to conduct a deep clean of brew group.

Hi, I have a Jura Impressa J9.3
I replaced the brew unit thinking the problem/symptoms came from the brew unit.
Well, the symptoms are still there. So please let me know what the problem is.
When pressing to make coffee, the machine correctly grinds the coffee, brews the coffee, has nice crema and produces the right amount of coffee.
Now is where the symptoms start.
The machine clears the coffee puck but then seems to be stuck for about 5 seconds with a big humming sound, then the machine continues the clean and prepare for the next coffee and will make cup after cup.
I am concerned about the loud 5 second humming sound. Along with that I discovered that the used coffee pucks are semi wet, meaning there is definitely some water/coffee slush in the used coffee grounds container. And there is an 1.5 inch large circle of wet coffee grounds on the long tray right after the end of the coffee ground container. I have pictures and a video I can provide.
Appreciate any help as I would like to get the right part to resolve the listed symptoms?
Thank you, Klaus H.

Hi Klaus,

Depending on the beans I use I too have some moisture in the collected bean grounds. I find this occurs just before the scheduled clean and I find myself cleaning the machine more than it tells me too to avoid this.

I am not familiar with what you are saying but Jura have fixed price servicing in Australia so I would get a Jura service centre to take a look.

Todd

Hi

How do I upgrade the software to be able to start using the wireless adapter and the Jura app?
Please make the 9.3 compatible with the the wireless features, I think it is reasonable for a 2000€ machine.

I believe it’s the mechanism that switches between the centre spout and side (with milk) spout broke down, it’s called squeeze valve. It controls which spout coffee shall comes out, either the twin spout in the centre or the side spout with milk.

I have a j9.3 and have had problems from day 1. I understand that it wont make really hot coffee but luke warm isnt good enough . I have tried good quality coffee beans and also good quality ground coffee with the same bitter result. Sometimes the water wont even pass through the coffee and it ejects it into the internal dipenser or around it all over the inside area without delivering the coffee. I spent a lot of money on this machine to get a simple to use great coffee like at a good cafe and it appears to be an expensive mistake. How do l go about getting a refund on this machine? It certainly doesnt do what l paid for. I paid for an extended warranty as well.

You can adjust the temp to the HIGH setting then adjust the grind to low calibre (a few notches away from the white dot) If the grind is too fine it will eject the coffee. if this does'nt work i suggest you contact Jura.

When trying to get a cup of coffee instead of the water filling the cup it leaks under the machine. Went through all the cleaning, removed the filter, put in a new filter, nothing worked. Did the rinsing cycle and the water leaked under the machine. Any suggestions to fix?

I don't know of a way. You could try Jura.

the milk is a bit of a problem, in that it's all heated automatically, unlike a machine that allows you to steam it manually for as long as you want. make sure the cup is heated well and truly before pouring the milk. this is the only way i have found how to get around the problem. i don't have a milk based coffee that often, so it's not a problem for me. plus i like the way it works as is with pre heated cups. keep in mind this is not a commercial machine and so there are compromises to be made.

I would call the Jura hotline, it could be the machine, we find ours is hot enough as is.
