OK my berg was better and only £400.00
The coffee is lovely machine looks good, but I like cuppacinos so you need to have a microwave as it's only capable of making lukewarm cuppacinos and lattes it's the milk part that's the problem you can't change the temperature on the milk so even with the coffee at its hottest it just doesn't cut the mustardand at £1600 pounds that's a great disappointment. I had a berg machine that was better and only £400.00 pounds.

Absolute rubbish. Frother has not worked from day one.
Disgraceful customer service, refusing to address the issue, will not allow me to speak to their supervisor, ignore emails, never call back, every time you ring a different person tells you a different thing, they took the machine away for 11 days, returned the machine back still not working. Thanks to Jura I am left with a non functioning coffee machine this Christmas and I bet they remove this post as soon as they read it instead of addressing the problem.

excellent coffee with milk problems
*Brand new machine out of the box* (cleaning is not the problem)
First, to Jura AU, Please note that some people think that the number you are providing is a US number; in addition, posting your customer service number in your reply doesn't help your reputation or the fact that the milk is warm not hot, Yes there is a milk temp setting in the machine but you still don't seem to understand that we want hot milk.so a reprogramming will be great.
Second, the customer is always right!! if your team have a degree in business by any chance they s...Read more
hould know this!! the milk is not hot enough. we run more than 120 coffee shops in Saudi Arabia per international standards and i can tell you the milk is not warm enough! there must be a programming issue or a way to re-write the commands into the machine to rectify this problem. Third, i have tried to pinch the milk tube by hand and with a zip tie and it provided warmer milk but i do not know the consequences of repeatedly doing this trick. the other trick is to play with the froth dial and adjusting it from LEFT to RIGHT towards the end of your milk cycle will give you warmer milk. Please not that the milk I used was fresh cold full fat milk. I refuse to use room temp. milk because i need to use my machine in the morning before i go to work and i have no time to let the milk sit in room temp. and i dont want to use UHT long life milk. P.S. I called your US customer service number and after waiting for 10 minutes during both calls they hung up on me. so its just useless to call. And i will not send a fax... its 2014 not 1990!!Similar opinion? Terrible
Bought the machine 1 week ago and it will not froth the milk. Have spoken to Jura customer service and have done exactly what they said to do. I have tried everything from heating the milk before putting it in the milk canister to letting the machine warm up for over an hour. Not happy at all.

great coffee always...
There will always be positive and negative reviews about any product. I did a lot of reading about the j9.3 machine before my purchase, including reviews on this site that were both good and bad. In the end I went ahead and purchased mine from Harvey Norman after a very helpful product demo (sales pitch). Got the machine home and was obviously keen to try it out. After a previous 8 year old Saeco machine I learned a long time ago to heat up the glass/mug for the hottest coffee, so that's how I went about my first few cups of espresso. No p...Read more
roblem at all - great taste, well grounded as I like. Then I tried a latte and the problem started - it seems that the milk brother would not draw any milk from a jug. Most disappointed by this as my only option was espressos. A phone call to the Jura service centre in Melbourne solved the issue immediately. Seems a faulty milk brother was the problem. This was sent out express post that day and arrived the next. Now i have the choice of coffee any way I like it. And I do like it. It's better than most coffee shop coffees. Now I know people will say that the milk brother should not be DOA, but, sometimes crap happens. They may also say you shouldn't have to pre heat the cups - get over it. It's a great machine and the service I experienced backed that up. Finally, the machine was extra cheap, which also helps the buying decision. Jura all the way for me:)Similar opinion? Beware of inferior plastic used in this model!
Paid $3000 for this with 5 year warranty. A year ago the plastic frother broke, because of arthritis have problems so it meant I put sideways pressure when cleaning, and it broke off. Rang Jura and was told it was not covered by warranty because external part! They want $400 to fix it. So bought cheap frother. This morning when cleaning coffee spigot the plastic broke off. Makes great coffee, but not much use when necessary parts break off. INFERIOR plastic used in this expensive machine!

You guys must be dumb
I have owned a Jura for 8 years one service operates flawlessly .
Warm Milk problem ?
Oh come on guys wake up preheat the milk and put it in the thermos problem solved.
Of course if you have a room temperature glass you will get an 8 degree cooling effect and that guy who likes his coffee hot is not thinking.
The reason the coffee is the temperature it is is because if the temperature is too high the coffee is bitter.Let me assure you Jura heat the water to the correct drinking temperature in their machines and if you haven't figured out b...Read more

Fantastic Coffee at the push of one button
Have had this machine for 4 months now and love it!
So easy to make different types of coffee, especially in the morning, when you just want a strong coffee without having to do a barrista course first. Speaking of barristas - this machine is honestly better than 90% of the coffee you get from "professionals".
Great when friends come around. The machine can make endless coffees really quickly.
No problems with getting hot coffee, providing you heat the cup first with a swish of hot water. I even use glasses now, as the Latte looks as g...Read more

Hi, I purchased the Jura 9.3, did you change the factory settings for the cappucino and Latte Macchiato?
Yes. I adjusted the settings to fit the coffee mugs and glasses.

Better than most cafe coffee
We had a Delonghi Nespresso pod coffee machine. It makes an acceptable cup of coffee but nowhere near as good as the Jura. Our Delonghi came with a four year warranty and was returned for servicing 4 times. 3 times for a burnt milk frother and the last time when after de scaling, the coffee would not flow.
We explored the options. Life is too short to drink poor coffee. The Jura won. The Miele was nice, but the milk did not seem hot enough.
We had a lesson from Jura. They programmed the machine and provided information. The machine is simple ...Read more

Cant wait to turn it on each morning
After much research and deliberation on either the Bosch or the Jura, took the plunge and bought this unit.
It is so easy to use and virtually no maintenance. Only have to fill up the water and beans and the machine does the rest. I like being able to adjust the levels of coffee, water or milk on the fly if needed
Ease of use
Milk temp could be hotter

Love this machine! Best coffee ever!
I am really impressed with this machine, we purchased the Impressa J9.3. It makes superb coffee! This mavcine is super quiet, easy to clean, and has a good size water unit, so you are not forever filling up the water. The coffee is hot and perfect. I have had 3 machines (different brands) and this machine is by far superior to the Gaggia, De Longhi and Sunbeam we have had before. We have the cup warmer too, so the cups are pretty warm to start with. I cannot recommend this machine enough.
Easy clean, looks fabulous, super quiet, awesome coffee

If you like your milky coffees hot then DO NOT buy this machine. It only heats the milk to around 130F, when it should be around 160F.
Yes, no recommendations from me.
I was worried about the temperature after reading the reviews but when I mentioned it to the sales rep at Harvey Norman he made a cup of milk which burnt my lip. Never been happier to have a burnt li... Read more

Taste of Europe!
Amazing machine. I have had the J9 TFT for over a year now with no problems. I agree that initially the coffee can be warm and not hot, however traditionally coffee is not meant to be steaming hot. I have traveled to Europe on several occasions spending most of my time drinking coffee. I missed having good coffee at home and my Jura machine has satisfied my coffee addiction. My favorite features are the colour screen (easy to navigate) and the ease of self cleaning.

JURA J9.3 one touch TFT. Bad,Bad choice. Now what do I do???
I take a long hard look at anything I buy, may take weeks to decide, then I buy when I have chosen the one I think is best. At the time I had a Sunbeam Cafe Series machine with steam wand, it was a great product but I now wanted something that could make a coffee with the press of one finger.
The JURA J9 was my choice. If I wished for a Short or Long Black I could have it, if I wanted a Cappuccino I could have it, the specs said I could change everything to my liking. Coffee strength, water temperature, amount of water, amount of milk and temp...Read more

Fantastic Purchase! Better then my local cafe :)
Had the Jura J9 TFT for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. Its super easy to use, its very easy to clean & makes a great tasting coffee - much better then my local cafe which charges $4 for a latte! I like the way the milk connects because there is less cleaning (no milk jug) and I can use soy milk whilst my husband uses full cream!
One thing I would change is it would be nice if the coffee poured before the milk - looks nicer - and obviously the cost was pretty high - Swiss Made stuff tends to be though.
Havent had any issues so ...Read more

Questions & Answers
Jude B.asked
I love my J9.3 but recently it has begun to leak water from the bottom immediately after I brew a coffee. Is it likely to be a seal / o ring that needs replacing? Thanks

Dear Jude.B
Thank you for your question, could you kindly confirm if the machine is leaking clear water or coffee water? and if clear is it around the water tank side?
Look forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue.
Kind Regards
JURA Support team
this machine might be clogged at brew group, causing pressure built-up at pressurised water line around ceramic valve, where it potentially leaks.
Recommend to conduct a deep clean of brew group.

Klaus H.asked
Hi, I have a Jura Impressa J9.3
I replaced the brew unit thinking the problem/symptoms came from the brew unit.
Well, the symptoms are still there. So please let me know what the problem is.
When pressing to make coffee, the machine correctly grinds the coffee, brews the coffee, has nice crema and produces the right amount of coffee.
Now is where the symptoms start.
The machine clears the coffee puck but then seems to be stuck for about 5 seconds with a big humming sound, then the machine continues the clean and prepare for the next coffee and will make cup after cup.
I am concerned about the loud 5 second humming sound. Along with that I discovered that the used coffee pucks are semi wet, meaning there is definitely some water/coffee slush in the used coffee grounds container. And there is an 1.5 inch large circle of wet coffee grounds on the long tray right after the end of the coffee ground container. I have pictures and a video I can provide.
Appreciate any help as I would like to get the right part to resolve the listed symptoms?
Thank you, Klaus H.

Hi Klaus,
Depending on the beans I use I too have some moisture in the collected bean grounds. I find this occurs just before the scheduled clean and I find myself cleaning the machine more than it tells me too to avoid this.
I am not familiar with what you are saying but Jura have fixed price servicing in Australia so I would get a Jura service centre to take a look.
Regards
Todd
Hi Todd,
Thank you for your tips.
Appreciate your response.
Cheers,
Klaus
Curious if you ever got this issue resolved. I believe I'm having the same problem with my J9.3

Further to my earlier review, was totally ignored by Jura after their promises to contact me. Now have a De Longhi Eletta which so far is problem free.
