This has been such an unreliable device!
From freezing, to sound and screen issues. I’m up to my second replacement. The monitor itself works well and has good features - but the parent unit has been terrible!

The camera is amazing especially night vision however the features are no different from others with a much lower price point.
You could argue what your paying for is the picture quality and you’d be right. We didn’t pay full price for the product and I feel the price we paid for it was exactly right. I can see him breathing in the screen so it eases my mind completely.
Purchased in at Kodak for $280.

The camera system is of decent build quality, but there are a number of serious issues with the system that make it very bad to use when using 2 or more cameras. We bought this unit with an additional camera for our 2 children.
1. Looping between cameras did not work on Wifi mode. This meant you could only loop between cameras when the unit was on 'direct connection' mode, which undermines our whole reason for buying a Wifi enabled system (because we needed additional range). Kodak acknowledged this said they were working on a software fix.

Read more Doesn't play well with Mesh Routers, in particular, doesn't loop properly when the cameras, or the parent unit are connected to different mesh points. Kodak advised mesh points needed to be on the same channel, but we have a Google Mesh setup, and there is no way to force points to use a channel. This is because mesh points optimize channel selection based on traffic. So basically, unless you're lucky enough to have all cameras and the parent unit connect to the same mesh point, game over. 3. Push to talk (PTT) microphone feature stays on for around 1-2 seconds after the button is released. Very annoying, particularly when our older child has responded to a question and you don't hear it because the talk button is still transmitting. 4. Cannot use PTT when on loop mode. A terrible feature oversight by Kodak. With other camera brands, while on loop mode and the PTT is pressed, you transmit to the active camera. The PTT button does not work AT ALL while on loop mode. So if a child on camera 1 calls, you need to scroll through the menu system, deactivate loop, activate the right camera, then talk. After finished talking, you need to do the same to reactivate loop. 5. While plugged into power and on loop mode, the parent unit restarted itself, after about 5-6 hours, twice in one evening. When it restarted, loop mode was deactivated, so basically you wake up in the middle of the night to a child who has been screaming for an hour because the parent unit rebooted and was left on the other camera. Noteworthy that Kodak technical support was amazingly helpful and responsive; probably one of the best support experiences I've had. That said, these issues make the 2 or more camera system useless. If you are using with a single camera, you likely won't have the issues above, but if you will need to add another camera in the future, think twice about this system.
