Hi Darren,

If the Google Play Movies app is not working, we would suggest force closing the app and giving it another try. You can also view your purchased Google Play Movies in the purchase tab of the YouTube app.

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

For Google Play movies, you'll just need to have an Google account set up and go to the Play Store app. Along with Apps, Movies & Music is a section where you can explore movies.

As with other Android devices, Apple devices can't connect to them directly. They can only stream to devices like the Apple TV.

Foxtel Go has an Android app, but unfortunately it's not compatible with our TVs. Foxtel Play only works with a very specific number of devices, and not our TVs.

If you'd like to contact our Support team, we can assist in setup or any more in-depth inquiries regarding the product. You can call on 1300 304 292 or submit an online inquiry here: https://www.kogan.com/au/help/question/new/complete_question/support/

Hi, we seem to have very limited abilities when trying to connect anything physical. The HDMI ports only seem to register our Blu ray player and nothing else. The sound bar can't be connected nor can the wii. Does anyone else have these issues? This is such a disappointing purchase. I won't be buying anything from Kogan again.

Hello. I have hd foxtel and an Xbox connected as well and they seem to work. I don't have any external speakers so I wouldn't know about that sorry. But I am very disappointed that I wasted my money on that piece of junk and as soon as I can afford it I will throw it in the rubbish and buy a real tv. I too have vowed never to buy anything from kogan again!

Hi,

Thank you for your review and we're sorry to hear you're experiencing those issues.

I wonder if one port may be faulty, are you able to ensure you've tried separate cables and ports on the TV? Are those items able to connect to other products okay?

The issues you've described are quite unusual but our Support team will be able to assist if you can get in touch, you can contact us on 1300 304 292 or submit an inquiry here: https://www.kogan.com/au/help/question/new/complete_question/support/

My surface pro 3 with windows 8.1 was wirelessly projecting to my 43" Smart TV (KALED43SMTZA) fine for a few months. Now, when i try to connect, the surface searches and finds the mcast device on the smart tv, but simply wont connect... the surface screen says "follow any prompts that come up on the tv screen", but nothing ever comes up and it times out... it then says to check with the device manufacture (Kogan). i have updated the TV as per the latest update, i have updated my surface pro 3 windows 8.1 to the most recent updates.... still no wireless projecting happening at all... its annoying is the main reason i purchased this tv was so that i could cast my surface onto the tv whilst on the couch with no cables running everywhere... any help would be appreciated?

Is there a reason why anything requiring internet connection is so slow? Netflix runs extremely slow and is pixilated, YouTube takes forever to connect. The wifi works perfectly on my Laptop and phone. I have just received the Tv today and it is going extremely slow.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the TV's poor quality Wifi receiver. Seems to me that the range on it is very small. If I move the TV close to the router, like 5M then it seems to work fine. I bought this TV for my mother so haven't had as much time on it as I would have liked but I will find out for sure this weekend and will contemplate contacting Kogan for a replacement or refund.

Hi Stu

I rang the Kogan help team and informed the person that I was absolutely furious at being unable to access international news, and having to waste my irreplaceable and valuable life hours trying to fix this problem; and if it was not fixed I was going to junk the TV 49" Agara and put the details and my opinon as to these Kogan so called smart TV's on my web. As to the firmware upgrade I had gone on line and discovered that these had previously failed with some initially solving the problem then the same failure to launch problem occurring again. The team person insisted that the new firmware upgrade of the 14th of March had fixed the problem. I downloaded this onto a NEW USB, and installed it and it worked perfectly; however for how long.

The annoying factor and note I do not blame Kogan himself, and I will continue to recommend Kogan products to others and continue to buy their products/great deals as this is a one off problem and a matter for his help team and pr to sort out. The annoying factor in regard to these people is that they were aware of this problem and yet did nothing to prevent further sales of these TV's. When we purchase such products we expect them to work, not have to become their repair men. I am now waiting to see whether or not the new upgrade has fixed the problem permanently or not, and if not I shall post my response on the IMO (In My Opinion) page of my web site fromthcircletothesphere.net (or.com)

Hello Kogan,

My kogan smart tv is showing "Unfortunately launcher has stopped". I followed the link https://www.kogan.com/au/help/kaled43smtza-tv-firmware-upgrade/ to upgrade the firmware. But after the upgrade, it is now failing to detect the TV channels. Please fix it asap otherwise I will dump the TV into bin and ask for a refund

I can't change the channels why?

Ross x.Kogan

Hi Rosemary,

Thanks for your question!

Have you entered the DTV mode? If you're still in the smart mode/home screen (apps visible and the TV in a window), you won't be able to change the channels. If you highlight the TV window and press select or hit the input button on the remote and select DTV, you shouldn't have any problem changing the channels.

If you're still having trouble, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Support team for further assistance.

Nice of Kogan to respond to your question ! It's a wonder you didn't get the old turn it off at the power point or main power switch and let it reboot. It still doesn't change the fact that the software is dodgy and the processor is just not good enough to do the job to look after basic TV functions, let alone the on board computer functions. Untill proven wrong I stand by my original analysis !

I honestly don't know the answer to this one, the reason I wrote such a poor reveiw is I'm sick and tired of such poor quality products being imported and no one is held accountable, my answer is try it on them. If not contact consumer affairs !

I did, however, I returned mine within the 14 day period.

I also had to front the cost for the delivery and return.
