Keeps it cool
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Love this fridge
Easy access to all compartments
Even when loaded at Christmas kept every think at temp
I love how it displays temp on front
Only negative point dints very easy
And hard to dry water from water dispenser may result over time in rust as we live near the water
Fridge functionality is Fantastic, but stainless cover, not so much.
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)I have to say the you would be hard pressed to find better functionality in a fridge. The use of compartmentalised spaces in this fridge is outstanding. Literally a place for everything from mini-sliding soft cheese and cold-cuts compartments to door-in-door quick drink access and loads of wide space for entertaining platters; and convenient freezer drawers and shelves. The easy to use filtered cold water and ice dispensers are perfect and never fail during high demand days. My only slight criticism is we chose the silver stainless steel cover, and it shows every little mark which requires constant wiping to look sparkling clean.

GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Great Fridge, it has the best layout I have found after researching hundreds of fridges. The Fridge has french doors and wide shelves so you can fit huge platters in easily. The door in door is the handiest thing ever and used everyday numerous times. The Freezer section is also french door but has three shelves each side which makes for easy organization and the ability to only open half the freezer at a time to conserve energy. Only downside is the stainless steel which needs constant wiping from fingerprints!

Best ever
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)We've had this fridge coming up to a year now. Far better than any other fridge we've owned. Ample room for a family of four. What sold it for us was the lg 10 year parts and labour warranty. Only downside is with 2 tennage boys it leaves terrible fingermarks on the surface. Other than that. 9 out of 10.

Great Fridge and freezer.
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)This fridge keeps superb temperature. Very easy to use and simple to clean. Shelvings are appropriate sizing. Easy removal and placing of shelvings. Frost free freezer always keeps temperate accurate ( we know as we use a thermometer). My only complaint would be that the water flows too slow from the outlet. That could be a good thing if you have small kids.

GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)9:00AM have just notice that the freezer door was left open all night and no alarm was going off and the alarm was turned on but the alarm for this fridge the alarm only go's off three times and then stops when all other fridges keep going so if you don't hear the alarm in the first 60 sec the alarm turns offand you don't hear it again.

Very nice
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Economic fridge freezer. Large space capacity, good shelving with adequate space, great compartments inside. Great outer looking aspect. Easy to maintain and keep clean. Great water feature, that produces crushed ice or cubed ice. Very quite. Goes very well into modern kitchen. Competitively priced compared to fridge freezers offering similar features

GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)This smart looking fridge is very quiet all the while keeping my food fresh. This four door fridge is also very user friendly. Opening a door is effortless and saves energy. Its reassuring to know that I am not wasting energy and cost when I want access to one item. The freezer drawers make it easier to separate food items for family members. The ice cube trays are a popular destination and fortunately provide room for additional trays. Cleaning this beaut fridge is so easy! Just wipe down. I would be happy to invest in another like it.

GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Heaps of room and the kids can use the ice and water dispenser and no more water spills all over the bench from trying to fill from a jug. It's a good stainless as well. Cleans well with a stainless cleaner solution. With the 5 doors you can have a lot of variety for where to store different items as well as adjustable shelves.

GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)I love this fridge! Maintains great temperature in all compartments. Best part is it is super quiet and there's room for everything. I love that the freezer is two doors with drawers inside and not just two giant drawers that you find these days. Makes finding what you're looking for so much easier.

Best Fridge I've Ever Bought
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Love the French door fridge. It has lots of compartments.
The settings are very easy to use including the water and ice maker.
The fridge is very quiet and maintains a good temperature throughout.
The freezer compartments are the perfect size. And are very smooth to pull out and back in.
Nice fridge
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)We bought this fridge from Costco mainly to satisfy my American partner's burning desire to have ice and cold water on tap. It is quiet and powerful and the freezer configuration with two doors and pull out drawers is very functional. Makes ice and cold water well and has an easily changed water filter. The plastic and fittings feel solid and made of thicker plastic so I expect them to be durable over time. It is also very well lit so there are no dark corners. Overall I like this fridge however I have a few areas where I think there's room for
... Read more improvement. It has may good features you can read about on the LG site so I'll just focus on the annoying things for other buyers to consider. 1. I'm not a big fan of fat doors but that seems to be part of the deal with fridge door ice makers. As a result the doors are quite heavy and have a tendency to slam if you don't carry them shut. I would like to see a soft close mechanism built into the door hinges to help with this. 2. LG like many manufacturers don't fill me with confidence that they have ever tried to fill their fridge with Australian stuff. The right door has a second small door in it which you can open to take out your milk without having to open the whole door. Problem is, more often than not I open the whole door anyway as I'm usually taking out the milk and the jam or eggs for breakky etc. The door shelves in the right hand side are partially enclosed from the inside so if you try to take out your 3l milk bottle from the inside is it very awkward as the hole seems not much bigger than the bottle and if you have three bottles of anything to fill that shelf its practically impossible to easily take out one container without wrestling with everything in the compartment. Its just too tight and small and unfortunately its the only place in the fridge for a tall bottle. It's like they don't really want you to remove stuff from the inside so you might have to open the main door then make another trip though the little door!?? 3. Fridge height. The trade off for that great freezer is a fridge that isn't actually that useful. The thick door mean you have to reach deep in to grab things on the main shelves. Also due to the height of the freezer (and the knock on effect of shortening the fridge space) the three main shelves are all quite short and there is basically no room for anything tall. LG have made a small and clever concession by making the right side of the middle shelf split so you can push the front half of it back over the rear half to effectively create an area on the bottom shelf (about 3 x 1.125l soft drink bottles) where you can sit tall bottles. But now its hard to use the rest of the shelf behind the bottles without having to move the bottles. With regards to moving the shelves, say, to make one area taller, LG have chosen to limit the shelf adjustment somewhat. 4. Door handle position. This is just a personal thing but I find the handles are not that natural to use. From an aesthetic viewpoint they look great as you really cant see them looking at the fridge. The pull handles are ONLY on the underside of the main fridge doors (and the top of the freezer doors which is ok). You have to hook your hand underneath to open. For a tall person, there is not similar handles on the tops of the doors. Also, DONT hold the vertical part of the door as you close them as the gap is perfect for crushing your fingers or thumb and it hurts ALOT. I think I prefer one of the Samsung designs there they have recessed the handles into the vertical centreline of the doors. That is a much more natural action and no chance of jamming your finger when you naturally grab the middle of the door to close it. In truth I would have happily looked at other 4 door fridges such as the Hisense, Sharp, or Samsung but this one was a run-out deal, reduced price at Costco for approx $2000 so we grabbed it.Love it!
GF-5D712SL (Stainless Steel)Love this fridge, my partner and I looked for months to find the right fridge for us and this one ticked all the boxes. we loved the fact that we can have chilled filtered water all the time, and the fact you have open both doors and have so much room for everything in your fridge. The freezer is awesome I love the pull out drawers. ONLY thing I do not like is that we have to replace the water filter after 6 months

Our 5.5 year old fridge has just started to trigger (multiple times)the earth leakage circuit breaker when we open the upper left door(with the water/ ice dispenser). Any suggestions.
John, did you ever get a solution for this? We are having the exact same thing happen.
It was the heated flap(plastic with stainless insert) on the LHS Top door, that folds out. It had a wire that was partially broken in it. Got an LG service person, cost was $300-500. Good luck
What is the fridge opening measurements, in building my kitchen around it?
Hi, our opening is 100cm wide x 185 high which gives a bit of room for airflow around the fridge. Officially from the machine it is 912mm wide x 758mm deep x 1800mm high. The Samsung will also fit this space and maybe a better choice given the water leakage issues the LG is experiencing
115cm all up. Never had water leakage issue.
So would this be flush mount at 115cm
