A really great Fridge
We did a lot of research before buying this fridge and are so happy that we did. It really does meet all our requirements. The storage drawers are fantastic and the layout is perfect for what we need. It is very quiet, and no issues with things being too cold or not cold enough. Really great fridge and happy to recommend.

Best fridge I have ever bought.
Very quiet, heaps of space. I bought the Grande and it is very well built, thick shelves & loads of space. Would be better if it had more freezer space, the bins get quite full. The ice tray is amazing, with lovely sized ice and three trays of ice, meaning adequate amounts of ice all the time. Love this fridge, only minor changes required in the freezer.

Great set up and operation
Quiet, spacious and well set out. Temp control very good and quiet. Black front is prone too denting and scratching. Doors seem awkward when you first get it but you soon get used to it. Freezer ice setup is good. Easy to clean, great fruit and verge draws. Smells more inside but that is how it works, keep it clean and no probs. Was going to get a French door style but they have a middle pillar which limits platters etc. Mitsi is great if you entertain a lot.

Great Fridge
we have had the Mitsubishi for two years now and can honestly say it is a very good fridge.
Nothing has failed or not worked and all shelving is well thought out and robust.
Additionally it maintains good temperature and is extremely quite.
The two door freezer is convenient and works well having one large bin and four other various sizes drawers.
No Complaints after two years.

Super duper reasonable
It maintains good temperature in all compartments - freezing and cooling. The foods are still fresh and does not cause any water condensation issues. It is quiet as I don't feel the fridge exists haha. It is way too easy to clean as they are clearly partitioned and well-structured. Definitely worth buying

Great fridge
Temperature is good throughout. Love all of the drawers and compartments. Freezer has drawers which I find useful to sort frozen goods to make it easy to find what you need.
Very quiet and is easy to clean. Have had it for about 6 months now and love the look and function.

A great fridge
I use on eco-made and it is fantastic. Some reviews say it is a little noisy but I find it quiet as a mouse. For me, the freezer side with the ice trays would be better with the two sliding drawers, the same as the other side, but that is just me. Fridge compartments are excellent. Excellent adjustable temperature control and looks easy to clean. Interior fridge lights are fantastic. Highly rated.

Worth the money
Did a lot of research before settling on this fridge. You could spend 5-10 k on a sub zero but this mitsubishi with its inverter motor is so energy efficient. It uses the same power as my old fridge freezer but an extra 200L space. Meaning we got rid of our old chest freezer saving space and money. The quality of this fridge should see it lasting us at least 10 years.
The option to cool down quickly after loading the shopping is really handy ie. You've had the doors open for a while and compartments have warmed up. The french door style is gr...Read more

Functional and stylish
Have had this fridge for several months now. It's generally quiet but every so often makes a few loud noises, but we don't really notice anymore. The interior lights are great in the fridge compartment, making it easy to see everything on the terrific wide glass shelves. It would be nice if there were a few more options for shelf spacing, but we've adjusted (eg leave the lid off the big casserole dish and cover it with glad wrap because otherwise it's too tall to fit). We often have 12 litres or so of milk bottles all in the doors, with the doo...Read more
r compartments big enough for this. Everything has stayed nice and cool the whole time, even through hot summer heat. There was a little condensation on the shelves in summer - but this is probably to do with the evaporative air conditioning vent directly above the fridge doors. The freezer drawers are big enough for everything we've tried putting in them so far. The 2 smaller ones are generally full with ice bricks for school lunch boxes. We've considered getting another small freezer, but have been ok so far with just the freezer space in the L4 Grande. Not bad for a family of 6. The pearl white and silver colour scheme blends in great with our kitchen, and finger prints aren't an issue. Overall we are very happy with our purchase.Similar opinion? Great Fridge
We have this fridge for 3yrs now and it is still great as when it was new. Spacious and plenty of door pockets. I love the spacing of the shelf and I only use 3 at the moment and i can put a tall large pot with lid in it and it just fit. I love the rapid cool freeze option and i have used it a lot of time when I need an urgent freezing of jello or something that i need to set quick. We have a black one and just recently decluttered/ removed all the papers/ magnet/ notes that been covering the black beauty.
Any negative?!? Maybe the noise that the compressor makes, however its expected for a big unit and you'll get so used it. Other than that its a great fridge for me.

Great fridge - looks great and works well
Bought this fridge as I wanted French doors. Replaced two separate fridge freezers with total volume of about 800litres so this is overall smaller. However, the fridge is so roomy and door space is fantastic as I have a lot of stuff in bottles and jars. Temperature has been perfect. Freezer space is overall less than what we had but have managed. Ice maker is easy. No need for water/ice dispenser as they reduce your fridge space! Got the black fridge and it looks amazing. Noise is minimal - every now and again it does make a noise but I hardly notice anymore. Easy to clean and fittings do not appear fragile. Love it so far!!

I cant believe you can still buy quality
After 25 years, our poor old GE fridge died a slow death 2 days before Christmas.
Now comes the problem of finding a quality replacement that’s been well designed.
Like Pebs, we too did so much serious searching and decided to buy another brand.
When we told the sales lady what we were looking to buy, she said "you must be mad."
So I asked “what would you buy if you had the chance?”
This Mitsubishi Le Grande she said.
She was dead right. This magnificent fridge was designed by someone who cares and uses them every day. I bet it was lady ...Read more

A foodie's dream
I have had my fridge since Xmas 2014. Absolutely the best fridge I have ever owned, quiet, easy to clean and spacious. Cannot find anything to criticise but it would be great to have a light in the freezer. If this is the quality that Mitsubishi produce I am a convert.

Perfect!
After lots of research across the usual common advertised brands I stumbled across the Mitsubishi L4 Grande by pure chance after reading online reviews; so went and looked at it on the floor and was very impressed immediately. Firstly having a five year warranty is a huge bonus that no other manufacturers seem to offer. We are family of four (two adult children) and finding something that can hold enough food and drinks is not easy. Having the long shelves and French Doors is great for platters and easy to get in and out of. It has a large ...Read more
usable capacity that isn't wasted with water and ice maker gadgets. Easy to clean shelves and vegetable bins and being able to remove the vegetable bins without those annoying telescopic drawer runners is fantastic. It is extremely quiet so much so I had to keep checking it was in fact on! Temperature is consistent over all the shelving, the vegetable compartments are nice and deep and roomy and don't freeze your vegetables if at the back or bottom. The shelving in the doors is more than ample for milk, juice etc. Having the French Doors on the freezer compartment with separate different size drawers makes use of valuable space unlike the big one drawer freezer compartments on other fridge/freezers which is pretty much like the old chest box freezer and everything ends up at the bottom. The ice maker is easy to use, twist empty and refill. Yes, it is a huge fridge and is taller than most others out there, but that to me is a plus. It is also wide so make sure you can fit it through your doorways - we have double sliding doors so no problems for us, but good idea to check that you can get it through your doorways first. And lastly it looks fantastic, we have the stainless steel with the black panels on the doors, my men folk approved of this look!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Fridge.
Wanted a large fridge without the wasted water/ice space, I found it. This fridge is excellent, great use of space, quiet and good looking. Love the handles on the doors. I read a lot of reviews on large fridges and only stumbled across this fridge at the end, so glad I did. Unfortunately it was not displayed at all major stores. Big Lee did a great deal.

Love It!
I've had this refrigerator now for almost a year and absolutely love it. After previously owning a side by side, I'm loving the French doors as they allow ease of access for large platters (a problem always previously encountered at Christmas time). Also, this fridge has a very large usable capacity. Purchasing a fridge can be misleading as they have the gross capacity advertised, but some of that is not actual usable space - they include the linings, drawers, shelving etc. The actual usable storage space for this fridge is actually 550l even t...Read more
hough it's advertised as 710l. When purchasing we compared this to a larger refrigerator, but the other one actually ended up having a smaller storage capacity. We are a family of five, so we need as much usable space as possible. There are three separate compartments in the bottom for fruit, vegetables, and cheeses or meats. The larger vegetable drawer also has humidity controls so you can regulate the freshness of your veges. The freezer section has different sized drawers so it is easy to pack and find your frozen goods without digging around too deep. There is also a 3 section twist pull-out ice tray, with an optional ice drawer underneath. I find the ice freezes very quickly. It also has a control panel that has a child lock, an eco mode to lower the energy during times when you're away etc, as well as a rapid cool mode to quickly chill any meats. The final thing I love about this fridge is the colour. The star dust black is very elegant and as we have it again a dark blue wall, the fridge isn't standing out as an appliance. The only negative I have to say about this fridge is that to get a high shelf area, I've had to have a quite small shelf area. So I've used this for smaller things like egg cartons, butter etc. so it has worked out quite well in the end. Overall, I am 100% happy that I purchased this fridge.Similar opinion? Thoroughly Recommended
We looked hard for a french door fridge freezer combination, and found one as it was being delivered on the shop floor at Bing Lee in Bowral Looked at it - bought it.
It is well designed, well laid out, plenty of shelves and drawers for easy access, well made, looks good and fits!
The icemaker is in the freezer, which is a breeze to use - just flip over the ice trays and the ice falls out into the spacious tray below. Slide them out - refill and slide them back in. Is better than in the door due to better use of volume and energy.
It is VERY quiet and uses far less electricity than our old Amana.
An excellent unit I would recommend without hesitation - though the poor blokes moving the thing into position might not think so!

Excellent fridge / freezer
So far we had 7 fridges / freezers and this is the best by far. The fridge maintains it's temperature to within 0.1 degree (measured it with a proper temperature probe). Very well laid out and love the way the doors shut with a crisp seal. Compartments are well laid out and in the freezer section there is no waste of space (between the baskets on rails and/or freezer boxes) which turned us away from another brand of fridge/freezer. Very quite (as a friedge should be).

Loads of room, no complaints with the fridge other than the LED lights are beginning to fail
710 litres...this fridge/freezer is almost as big as a cold room. The fridge is cavernous and the two freezer units underneath are just the right size.
The compartment drawers in the fridge are big enough for salad and veggies for a family of 4 or more.
The Fridge door pockets can take numerous large bottles and jars.
the only criticism so far is that the LED light strips dont seem all that robust as atleast 6 of the LED diodes have stopped working so far.

Refrigerate on l4 grande not cooling
Have had for 6 months

Check that it is actually set to cold or colder. If that doesn't work call Mitsubishi to come out and look at it.

my width space is 790 can i fit a mitubishi french door fridge in that space
3 answers
No, the fridge is 850mm wide. I don't think there is a double door fridge that will fit this space. You may need to look for a single door fridge instead. We had a similar problem trying to find a double door fridge to fit a specific space and only the L4 would fit.
Support C.Mitsubishi Electric
Hi Frank,
Thanks for the question. You will not be able to fit the L4 but yes, there are 2 other fridges that are available to fit that width. The WX500 or the EX574 I have included the link below.

can you lift the height of the fridge
1 answer
The distance between the bottom of the fridge and the floor is appr. 30mm and it does have adjustable supports, but not sure how far up they will adjust. I imagine probably 10 mm or so as the supports can be used to raise the fridge so the castors don't touch the floor.
