Astonishingly bad.
Terrible service, late and damaged and phone manners were disgusting. Spoken to like The customer (me) was at fault for their mistakes. Disgusting attitude towards the customer, spoken down to on the phone. Will never use again.

Fantastic quick service even during COVID 19
Picked up quickly in Darwin and arrived in Melbourne quicker than express post posted the same day. The new tracking app is really good too. Sales agent was friendly and really helpful

Waste of space clowns
I have been there twice to the warehouse to collect items first time took approx 1hr to be served then they damaged my car with the forklift no compensation asked them to take off told me it was too hard
Second time at least 40 min to be served this time no issues as i hand loaded it they are just a waste of space and as useless as they come

Expensive item requiring a tail gate pick up was ordered. Driver came on 13th Jan. He wasn't aware he had a hydraulic tail gate, my husband had to show him. Firstly delivered to the WRONG address, then rerouted to correct address. It will be there tomorrow, oops, tomorrow then for sure. Rang Northline and spoke to a receptionist, still waiting for my call back. NEVER use these clueless turkeys. I prefer Australia Post to them and that's really saying something.

Very happy picked up on time, good communication with the Perth customer service department
& delivered in excellent condition as soon as the situation allowed due to purchasing just before Xmas then bush fires delayed road and train transport.

Northline Sydney deliveries DREADFUL!
Northline Perth picks up on time as scheduled. Great job!
Northline Sydney is appalling! For the last 4 shipments, estimated "5 business days" delivery has become 8-10 business days (i.e. 2 weeks). Brrrr!
We have used Northline for years and they used to be good. Now the Sydney end is truly unacceptably unreliable.
The shipment tracking is "at the Sydney depot", but they won't deliver it for a week... (They used to come up with pathetic "truck breakdown" excuses, now they don't even bother to apologise any more.) What is happening, guys?
Yes, they are cheaper and I guess you get what you pay for.
But do NOT use them if your schedule is tight for a Sydney (Newtown) delivery. It will simply NOT get there on time.

Great prices, sent and received about 90 items over 10 years without a single problem
We have loads of goods freighted with Northline, the largest a 3 ton generator from Darwin to Brisbane. Always delivered on time in good condition for an unbeatable price, never had a complaint from the other end. Depot's usually pretty busy but still manage to give a smile and treat you well. Everyone we refer has been delighted with their easy transactions and value for money.

Damaged Goods
After being told the goods would be delivered on time (and they weren't), the customer was presented with this!!!?? But the driver did say..."do you want it or will I send it back?? " What do you reckon crap??

Deceiving
So, waiting for a delivery. Call the guy that sent freight, he says it's been delayed so instead of Friday it will be there Monday. Call up Northline Monday, they say arrive Monday night so maybe get it Wednesday at best Tuesday. Leave my number cause I want it ASAP. Call again Tuesday and get another region. Lady takes details, end up with message on the phone saying that freight is still on the way and should get Wednesday. d quote con note number. Find out that freight is still in Brisbane and is still 2 days away, what the hell? Would not be as cheesed off if told the truth in the first place that freight was going to be days late but to be given the run a round and bullshitted too is very frustrating and degrading. One box missing, another damaged - Customer service appalling
One item was not delivered, but Northline says that it was delivered according to their driver. The driver was supposed to call before arriving and he didn’t, so I was down the street when the boxes arrived and couldn’t check for myself. This was incredibly frustrating as I had cancelled appointments for that morning to be at home - I had received a call the day before from Northline saying they would call half an hour before delivery.
Another box was damaged and customer service says it is not their problem.

From the Company receiving the order on Friday the heavy item was delivered on Tuesday am. Superfast as we are 3 hrs from Melb. Many thanks to Colin - freight forwarder. He did an excellent job. A++++

Items not delivered on day I was advised.
I sat around all day waiting for some floor ties to be delivered. I had been advised by the seller that they would be delivered today.
NO phone call to let me know they wouldn't be here - couldn't contact the seller at 1655 to check if the carrier actually had them.
I guess I'll waste another day tomorrow waiting for the phone call one hour before delivery which I did not receive on my previous ( first) delivery by Northline.
NOT impressed!!

On time, No worries
Had a motorcycle delivered from Alice Springs to Sydney. Everything happened as described. Delivery was on time. Very polite receptionist when seeking pickup instructions. Polite forkies at depot. Couldn't ask for more.

Lies Lies and More Lies
Absolutely Guaranteed items would be picked up Monday, rang Tuesday was told they must have forgotten to scan items on..Wednesday (Me ringing Daily) advised Items just picked up, Now the 5 days starts...Should be here Monday, Tuesday, Possibly Wednesday ...What kind of a show are you running here!! I have deadlines to meet and other people relying on me and All I get is more lies and I don't know!! Never ever ever again will I use or recommend this transport company.. over priced and unreliable.

Absolutely ATROCIOUS service. Assured package would be delivered on the day so I took a day off and it never arrived.
Absolutely hopeless with giving assistance. No understanding about the inconvenience they have caused and no reasonable explanation as to why it wasn’t delivered. Very unprofessional and extremely bad service. They should be shut down

Package penetrated by a forklift and still sent off.
Package took nearly a month to arrive within Australia, and when it arrived the box had been smashed in by a forklift and penetrated the goods inside. Clearly no regard for integrity of goods and efficiency.

From former employee - I can see why there is a 1 star review!
Having worked on the other end of the phone I can understand the poor reviews.
The call centre was severely understaffed, had lack of leadership and consultants had ZERO time to properly follow up on customer enquiries. There just wasn't enough consultants to effectively handle all the calls coming in. Often there were other 25 people waiting over 15 to be assisted. Management were too blind and clueless to address this blaming poor the service on individual consultants rather than lack of staff.
During my time working there it was very common for freight to either go missing or not arrive on time.
There were many really hard work women and men in the business but let down due to terrible systems and no proper leadership.

Very poor service
I've had two identical packages from similar locations in Queensland sent to Perth on the same day by different carriers. One arrived a week ago, Northline seem unable to deliver the other despite it sitting in their Perth depot for a week. There have been several promises from Northline customer service that the consignment would be on the next mornings run but so far these have all turned out to be untrue.

They tried to pick up the consignment from my house and deliver it to the retailer instead
My item was dispatched on January 3 and I was told Northline would contact me within 48 hours to deliver.
After 4-5 days I called and emailed them to track it down. No response.
12 days into the saga of the missing order the retailer was able to get hold of them and they were told the order was in the truck on its way to me and would be here today.
It hasn't arrived, so I call today. The order isn't in the system. But then, it is in the system, only Northline say they picked the item up from me and delivered it to the retailer inste...Read more
ad. The "delivery" was complete. There is nothing they could have even mistaken for a bed, unless they stole my missing garden bin and delivered that back to the warehouse (which seems likely at this point to be honest). Currently 18 days into the missing delivery saga and no trace of my order anywhere in their depot or on their system. I'm also not allowed to put a complaint in because they need to "find the order" first. They said "email us your feedback," but I'm still waiting for someone to open up my email from January 5.
