We took out the comprehensive family policy, which was great value - very good cover for all the essentials at a reasonable price. We looked at other insurance options but this one was the best value.

I have purchased travel insurance from this company on two occasions now. While in Europe, my sunglasses were accidentally left in a rental car when we returned the car. My claim was rejected as items left in rental cars are excluded. I thought this to be fair enough so I purchased travel insurance again from this company for my trip to the Philippines. Upon returning to Australia, we discovered that our baby's car seat was lost by the airline. It turns out that luggage lost while in transit is also excluded. Having spent over $380 on insurance cover for the 2 trips, I struggle to understand why I bothered spending money on cover when there are so many exclusions.

Like with anything else you can only say whether it's good or bad once you've used it and since I never made a claim my rating and review is purely based on my experience during the purchasing of the product.

Was great price for comprehensive insurance, with comparable coverage to more expensive policies.
Easily to obtain online with no fuss online. Email came thru straight away with confirmation.

Easy to set it up, for the cover it provided it was excellent value for money. Good that you can change the amount of excess you choose to pay. Would use them again.

Unproblematic to set up. Easy to understand policy and forms. Very friendly consultants. Efficient and quick processing of claim. Very happy with it, highly recommended! I would most certainly use it again.

This travel insurance was the cheapest comprehensive cover we came across and was very easy to set up online. We also had no problem amending the period of our insurance cover due to a change to our return flights. However we did not make a claim and therefore we are unable to comment on how well they deliver on their policies. Nevertheless travel insurance is a must when travelling overseas.

They were very good value, as they came in out 100% then what we were quoted even with a large discount.

We did have some problems with the birth dates of some of the people but once we notified them it was fixed immediately.

I used these guys for a recent Euro trip where I happened to have my new phone stolen in Rome. It was easy to fill out the form online. After a bit over a month since I filed the claim I am very pleased to say they have payed me a decent amount of the phones worth, which is better than nothing. Will use them again.

The package provided us the security we needed for this trip. We were confident that, whatever situation may arise, we will not be put in a position where we were going to be worried about being able to afford the means to be safe, healthy and secure.

The policies do not cover threats or acts of terrorism. The advice level for Thailand has just been raised to Do Not Travel and I was unable to claim any costs from my now cancelled trip due to Online Travel Insurance not covering threats or acts of terrorism. The PDS was misleading as this was not a general exclusion and was found at the very bottom of the PDS. I am not impressed with the service I received from Online Travel Insurance.

Excellent value! The policy was super simple to set up. The customer support was wonderful. A few days before our holiday a quick check list was emailed through from the provider which proved very helpful.

My travel insurance was inexpensive. Gave me coverage to enable me to cycle thru Europe. This gave me confidence to descend Alp D'Huez. Riding in traffic in village was a bit hairy at times.

I've been using Online Travel Insurance for my travel for a few years now. It's easy to get a quote and to add extras, if you need them. I had booked and paid for travel insurance through a travel agent recently (for convenience while I was there) but when I compared their price with Online Travel Insurance, there was a huge difference for essentially the same cover. I cancelled the policy and booked with Online Travel Insurance. As it's underwritten by Allianz, I have confidence in their product. Before travelling, they sent me an email with a useful travel checklist and after travel, they send a comforting "welcome home" message.

Bad value, paid extra for bicycles then had an incident where one bicycle was broken and the insurance company took 3 months to finally come to the decision that they weren't going to cover the damage. What the point of having insurance at all!

I decided to take out a comprehensive policy for myself and my husband when we went to Europe recently. Whilst they are happy to VERY QUICKLY take your money, they are not so happy to PAY UP when you make a genuine claim. We had a bag stolen and they are taking their time deciding our claim - asking ridiculous questions to find some way out of paying for our stuff I am sure!

PLEASE BEWARE - Everyone gives it 5 stars but you may regret getting this insurance if you dont also look at how they treat you when you claim!

Got home, heading off again within in two days. Comparison tool was limited, jumped into the website. Glad we did.. great value comprehensive cover. It's why we keep coming back.

The policy was good value and we left with peace of mind in regards to our travels and it was simple and easy to arrange.
However, whilst waiting for our flight home my son lost his iPod in the toilet cubicle when changing clothes and we did not have time to report the loss to authorities before boarding a 14hr flight home.

On ringing to discuss making a claim for my sons lost iPod, it took nearly 30 minutes to get through to an operator. Once through, he spent plenty of time listening and recording my scenario, however at the end was uncle...

I am very satisfied. I had to contact Online Travel Insurance a few times as we needed to extend my staff's policy. It was very easy transaction. I am very happy!
