I'm going to purchase a 10foot round trampoline, do I need to upgrade the springs? I don't particularly want to spend extra but I also want b a bouncy mat. Can anyone please give me some feedback on the bounce with and without the upgraded springs?
1 answer
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, The upgrade of springs is based on the quality of the metal used. It gives a similar of not slightly better bounce than the standard springs but the better quality of the upgraded springs means we can reinforce these with a lifetime warranty on breaking and stretching. Whereas the standard springs have a 2 year warranty and if they need replacing after that period, they will cost the customer.

What size would be suitable for a 2 year old and up?
2 answers
My 2 year old loves the 16 foot round trampoline we purchased. Plenty of room to run around safely on and great for parents and child to jump play together. I would suggest buying the biggest you can so everyone can enjoy it. My children love playing with their toys on it as well as a great size.
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, Basically any size from 10ft up would be best suited for longevity of use. The 8ft and 6ft trampoline sizes would be fine for a few years as an entry level size, but best long term option would be 10ft + size.
Aimeeasked
What is the difference in springs option at purchase? Looking at the 10X15 oval for Xmas. Is there a shade for this trampoline? Thank you! Aimee
1 answer
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, Sorry there is no roof option for the oval trampolines. The NZ grade springs are a higher grade of metal and are reinforced with a lifetime warranty. The standard springs come with a 2 year warranty only. So the upgrade of springs will mean if you have any issues with stretching or breaking, you will not have any further cost whereas the cost is on the customer post the 2 year warranty.

We are struggling for space in our backyard so we were looking at the 8 x 12 foot oval. Wondering if it would be big enough for my 14 year old son to use? Also could any of your round roofs fit over it? For example the 12 foot roof if we tied the sides down?
1 answer
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi the 8x12 has plenty of room - 4.5 sq mts of jumping space so that is fine for any child. We are looking to release oval roofs later next year

Purchasing for my grand baby she will be one but mum and dad would be on with her until she is a little older size is not a concern as large yard. I have heard that lots of trampolines with large weight capacity unsuitable for small children. which of you trampolines would you suggest?
1 answer
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi,
We recommend starting at a 10ft trampoline as this will allow mum and dad to be on the trampoline with their child (200kg weight capacity). And this is a great size for a toddler to grow in to and get plenty of use out of. Anything larger is a bonus for more space and logevity of use, but the 10ft would be more than suitable for at least 7-10 years.

Can anyone comment how the trampoline has lasted over time? 1-3+Years?

We had our Oz trampoline 9 in (small one) for 5 years. Kids never got off it. Net and mat is fantastic condition. I just sold it for $150 as we moved house and needed a bigger trampoline. I completely recommend oz trampoline.
Hi SGrsk,
4 years and still going strong!
We have had our 16' for over 4 years now and I am soooo happy. Nothing has changed and we have a west-facing back yard so it gets absolutely scorched every summer. The colours have not faded, the mat that covers the springs has slightly faded after 4 years in the western sun and the mat that goes over the springs feels like the padding 1/2 disappeared this year, which i would expect after so long left in the elements. The stitching on all panels is perfect, including where the springs are hooked and the black netting as vibrant as day 1; still black and taut; not going grey and saggy. This sounds inconsequential, but jet black allows you to see through and is therefore: a) good for keeping an eye on the kids and b) being unobtrusive in the garden. The Blue poles have surprisingly proven to be unobtrusive. Metal still shiny, no rust. Structurally still perfect; am so happy. It has exceeded our expectations after so many years. I'll purchase some padding this year but can't believe it's the first thing i will have had to spend on it after so many years.
I read some 1 star reviews out of curiosity and frankly I smell a rat; some unreasonable, some downright suspicious. We received a really high quality product and every time always had fast and helpful customer service. When we had a problem with a tent canopy (missing some loops) we sent a photo and were given it for free. full refund and no need to return, no hassles, no problem.
We've pushed it to the limits; kids, adults, sprinklers in summer, soccer balls and it has outperformed every time. If you're interested I might be able to upload some photos of how it looks after 4 years.
Bottom line, a high quality product with hassle free and helpful follow up every time. If you do decide to go ahead, I hope you enjoy it for as long as we have.
Santa tip: don't make it from Santa! OMG trying to build in darkness!! Make it from the parents and let the kids join in the building. Santa can give something else!

Hi looking at 10x15ft oval and trying to work out if I go for upgrade springs. Kids are 5 and 3 and some older kids will go on too. Which springs would be easier for kids to jump on in this size? Thx
2 answers
With the tramp I bought, I went for the upgrade springs just simply knowing that my kids would be using the tramp a lot so the longer they last and stronger they are the better!
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, The bounce quality is very similar between springs however the upgraded springs come with a lifetime warranty which is the greatest feature as you will not have to buy any springs for the lifetime of the trampoline if the springs stretch or break at any time.
Catherineasked
Hello, I am considering purchasing a 12 or 14ft tramp, however I am concerned that as a single mother, I may not be able to shift it easily when I need to. How heavy are these? Thanks
3 answers
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi Catherine,
It does take 2 adults to pick these 12ft and 14ft trampolines up and move them. While the weight is evenly distributed, it is just not possible to move by ones self. You do want to avoid dragging the frames across the ground. We do have Wheel options available for purchase which are placed under the leg of the trampoline on opposite sides to help you move them by yourself but these wheels are not ideal on soft ground so please be aware of that.
We have a 14ft tramp and usually get my 11 year old son to help my wife and me shift it, just to distribute the load more evenly.
Hi Catherine. We have the 8ft trampoline it does require 2 adults to move it but easily movable.

No it is not possible to take legs away and create a smaller sized trampoline.

Hi! See that the max weight for the 6ft trampoline is 120kg. Is there a max number of children who can use it at once? Would 4 children be able to use it if their total weight was under 120kg? Thanks!

Hi. The company only recommends one child at a time. We have had a few kids on our 10 foot and it got a little messy and there were a few tears. I would recommend getting the next size up or the extra strength frame. It's one thing if they sit and do not much on the trampoline but if you have four kids jumping at the same time I would upgrade it so it will last longer.
Good answer! I agree.

Upgrade and update options
NZ Made Spring Upgrade - worth it? Has anyone tried both and if so did you notice any improvement with the NZ made springs? If you order the upgrade at the initial purchase, do you still get the original springs (to use as spares)as well?
'2015' model Updates - I see many notices about the 'new' 2015 model on most sizes. Do OzTrampolines typically do annual updates to their models and if so, are there any tentative dates for when the next version is likely to be released?
1 answer
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, with the springs you just get the NZ springs if you upgrade as they come with a lifetime warranty there would be no need to have spares. The 2015 model was a major upgrade with the frame becoming a no weld model. Each year we generally do some minor improvements but no major upgrade planned for the next 12 months.
Thanks

HI Im interested in a 12ft trampoline for my 3 year old and my err umm husband. My question is do you recommend your trampolines for adults to use ? I know my husband will be on it with our daughter a lot ! He is around the 100kg mark. Thank you, April.
2 answers
We brought the 14 foot one rated to 200kg. My children are 11 &12 (so are considerably heavier than your 3 year old ) and I play on the trampoline with them. I don't think that this would be an issue with your husband playing on the trampoline as well. Just check the weight rating.
OZ T.Oz Trampolines
Hi, our 12ft Trampolines have a 200kg weight capacity.
Thanks,
Oz Trampolines
