Palm Pools and Spas

This review is many years in coming but due to poor workmanship, tiles are now falling off our Palm Pool and we are now paying a tiler to redo the entire pool . During the pool installation and after service the operators were so arrogant and bullish that my parents were just happy to see the back of them. After reading the previous reviews I am pleased to add our experience as a warning to potential customers.

This is for you [name removed]. We work 7 days a week just to save and build the pool and after paying u 95 percent already for 50% of job done u cancelled our contract as we refused to pay the remaining 5 percent. And a week after your business went into liquidation. The incomplete pool is the complete opposite of what we told you it should be. This company never returns calls or responds to email. They are quite happy to receive the payment but once they do, you never hear from them again. I don't even know if I have warranty. I went up and down Withers Rd Rouse Hill and they are no where to be found. They are no longer at Castle Hill. Who knows if they are at Dee Why and Caringbah like they say. Applaud how I have been disregarded. No use leaving messages on their phone or email.

This company promised us a speedy start and cheap prices to get us to sign the contract. However, it was a whole different story after we signed with them and paid the deposit. We got sucked into a nightmarish experience of constant delays and horrific customer service. After a whole month of time wasting back and forth with them, we got fed up and terminated the contract. They then demanded us to pay a termination fee of 20% despite not even having lifted a finger to build our pool.

Every bad review on here is spot on! Do not use these guy’s, not only are they rude, never return emails or phone calls but their work is complete rubbish. We have a concrete hole in the ground and have been waiting for 10 months for them to finish/fix things.

Unfortunately I am writing this poor review as I am now aware that many people have had a similar experience. Signed with [name removed], owner of Palm Pools on 1/2/2018. It is now 13/11/2018 and am still waiting for the small pool (3 metres by 4 metres) to be completed as once it was filled, it leaked more than half the water. Every step of the way has been difficult and the expense has blown out to be 50% more than the contract indicated. The project manager [name removed] was extremely rude and most unhelpful. The only person who did as they said they would, was the office person, [name removed]. It has been a very bad experience.

Sales pitch was perfect, original quote was a within budget! Time frame they gave me to complete it was a dream! BUT don't be fooled, once the contract was signed it became my worst nightmare. Communication was difficult, they lack in returning calls or emails so we were consistently chasing them, hidden fees blew our budget and it took them 10 months to complete!. Please don't be fooled, don't sign with Palm pools & Spas, if you do you will regret it. I know I do.

From start to finish the office staff were such a pleasure to deal with, for Marilyn and Craig nothing was ever too much trouble.

Our site and access were very tricky which made this a complex project, but issues were resolved and managed well and the tradies we had were skilled, professional and have delivered a pool we are very pleased with.

We purchased a new pool from Palm Pools - signed up in Feb/18 and had a fully complete and operational pool by June/18. Red was great to deal with and had a very detailed understanding of what is required to build a pool on our site. Denis was a great project manger and ensured that the pool was built to a great standard.

Overall, the process was painless and we love our pool. This kids love it.
A very satisfied and happy customer.

Plumbing that was sub-contracted is faulty which means may not have the option to put in Solar as agreed. We have not received a response to formally resolve over a two month period.
We are not happy with the interior calling of the pool which we payed extra for. Again still unresolved despite multiple phone calls and emails.
Customer Service has been appalling inclusive of being yelled at told to go away.

Our site was very challenging, with other pool companies not willing to take it on. Red came out and discussed design ideas to resolve some retaining issues we had and to capture our beautiful view.
As expected with such a challenging site, we were faced with challenges along the way. Palm Pools handled all of these challenges professionally, with compassion and allowed us time to get back on track.

Having previously installed an extremely large concrete in ground pool at our rural property some years back with another company, I expected to have a similar experience, that is, no dramas or issues whatsoever. How wrong was I. A number of quotes were sort by pool companies in the Sydney area. [Name Removed] the son, came across as polite, knowledgeable and pushed the small family owned 30 year business. Palm Pools just finished our pool at Cromer, the end product is great, although it took slightly longer than expected or what we had hope for. Red made sure we got the design we were after and navigated the council/compliance extremely well - some pool companies we dealt with in the quote stage couldn't assist us or wouldn't work around it or understand regulations. They were always available to assist during the process and did their best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Some of the reviews I have read here don't reflect the experience I had with their team and customer service standards. It is a family company and you deal with the owner (Red) and his son/wife etc. and they were always available to us.

Please do your research on this company, they are not to be trusted, they have no good costumer service, never returning calls or emails, all they are interested is getting the contract, after that its a constant battle. My pool is a total disaster and a big loss of money, if only i knew that they had change their previous company name to this current one . Do not be fooled by there sales manager and the big sales talk full of empty promises .

I can’t recommend Red from palm pool enough professionalism is the word I would use to discribe palm pools .. this company is fair and reliable it’s a pure pleasure dealing with a true gentleman and work that is of a high standard.. they go above to make sure the customer is treated respect if you are thinking of installing a pool or spa this is the company that you should deal with
