this toothbrush is amazing
this toothbrush has improved my oral health and I haven't had to floss, but I still need to. I like the charge life of this product, it lasts for 2-3 weeks. My toothbrush is really easy to store in the charging glass

Just over 2 years, sonic strength reduces when lightly pressed against teeth
As per title. I bought this just over 2 years and unfortunately now, as of 2 weeks ago, the sonic strength reduces when lightly pressed against teeth.
As it's over 2 years ago, it's out of warranty.

Never had a better clean in my life!
I purchased this toothbrush along with the AirFloss as I wanted to cut down on dental floss wastage and it was recommended highly by my dentist! They are a perfect combo together and give a great fresh clean!

Fantastic!!
This is such a cool addition to our bathroom! Honestly, it’s so stylish from the toothbrush itself to the glass charging cup and handy travel charging case. We have no complaints and have switched from oral b to Phillips toothbrushes post purchasing the airflosser which in combination with the toothbrush makes my teeth feel incredible! My only issue is the two heads are the same identical and therefore makes it hard to be able to differentiate between my head and my partners but I just have to buy another coloured head I guess!

Great Toothbrush! Worth the extra money
I would not pay the $500 RRP for this and got it half price, however my teeth have been much better for it and it's so much simpler to use compared to other alternatives. Highly recommended for those who have had gum issues in the past as well as its quite gentle.

$370 toothbrush and Helpdesk is off shore and utterly useless
I just bought a sonicare. Over $300 and Philips being the cheap company that they are, instead of investing in quality staff, it is someone off shore who has zero product knowledge, reading from a script and enfuriting me along the way.
I have just replaced a previous model which was around $250ish when I bought it and that included a sanitiser.
This new model is over priced, has less functionality, it doesn’t even have an off button. Instead you have to scroll through the brush setting until you get to the end. The previous model als...Read more
o had a speed setting which you could dial down or up. I’ve noticed they have now brought out an even more expensive model (well over $450) which pairs to your phone. Yet another company taking advantage of consumers just the same as crappy Apple does.2 comments

I love my Philips Sonicare Diamondclean toothbrush.
I bought my Philips Sonicare Diamondclean toothbrush 2 months ago. I’m very happy with the product and would recommend it as a personal toothbrush.
I was unsure about the price range but my friends who have it said it is amazing and completely different to other electric toothbrushes and they were right!
The Philips Sonicare Diamondclean toothbrush sits in a charging cup and recharges automatically so it’s ready to use or if you’re travelling it can be placed in the case which also recharges the toothbrush.

Excellent toothbrush
I was a little doubtful of the quality of the product when I was researching, as I assumed that electric toothbrushes couldn't vary that much in terms of function and power. However, this electric toothbrush really is a game-changer and definitely cleans my teeth a lot better than traditional toothbrushes -- and exceeds my expectations. Sure, it is pricey but it is worth the investment. It has a long charge and is easy on the teeth and gums. My primary concern for oral health was the discoloration of my teeth from medications I had to take as a kid, but using whitening toothpaste on this product has definitely fixed that issue more effectively.

DO NOT BUY, will stop working & not charge!
Do not buy this product, it will stop working and Philips will not replace if outside warranty after 2 years. I bought my Sonicare toothbrush and air flosser just over 3 years ago from Shaver Shop, spending $388. I was happy at the time and enjoyed the product.
But now they have both stopped working, they will not charge or turn on. I contacted Philips customer service and after many weeks of emails back and forth they have offered a discount to me on new products, asking me to spend another $250 on products that I know will not be supported after 2 years.
Very poor service Philips! and poor products, why would I trust them again? I am going to a competitor product.

Absolutely brilliant toothbrush,,,, for a while
This toothbrush is excellent, it gives a clean like you’ve just been to the dentist. Can’t fault it on it function at all. But I’ve only had it 6 months and it just doesn’t work as well as it did. It turns on but is weak and seems to be struggling. Shattered as it really was great and for the $300 price tag would have been nice for it to last a few years.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED DON’T BUY
Last’s 5 brushes and is dead flat and makes a funny sound like some thing inside it lose (but who knows), the things is only 1 week old and it’s totally useless, I will never buy another Phillips product, I don’t care if there going to give me my money back or a full replacement, it’s just not good enough after a week old. Now I have to go out of my way on my own time too organize some sort of remedy. Pathetic. And I gave it a full 24 hr charge when I first purchased it and full 24hr charge 2 days later after 2 brushes it was dead flat.

Stopped working after 2 years
I really liked this brush until the warranty period ticked over and it decided to stop working. The brush does a great job cleaning teeth and gums. I like the look and feel of it, and while I originally thought it value for money, I can no longer give it a thumbs up. The battery life slowly started fading, requiring more and more frequent charges until it just gave up entirely. Far too expensive a product to stop working after two years.

I was quite impressed by this product as it cleans very well. It also feels very durable and I like the sleek design as well as the interchangeable brush heads. But, the only think I don't like about this product is the price tag. It's still too expensive for a toothbrush for me.

Expensive and poor quality
My wife and I are each onto our second brush. Both failed within the warranty period. Both brushes now feels like they are about to fail again (when compared against another brush), although they are about 12m old the 2yr warranty only applies to the original purchase. My son has a $60 kids sonicare which does a great job and at less than three times the investment.

as described with up to five days of cleaning between charges- perfect for those weekend away trips. It also comes with a travel case to protect the brush. I would recommend the brush if the cost was below $100. As the cost is over three times this and the quality being poor I can't recommend it. It feels like Philips have gone for form over function. We all want clean teeth and you can get this with a $60 Philips sonicare for kids.1 comment

2 yr warranty is essential
My son and I both have this model. When it works it is great. Really good.
However there seems to be a fundamental problem with the battery failing.
My sons battery melted his handle so he got a new toothbrush
Mine failed after a few months and was replaced. The replacement has now just failed. It is being replaced.
So long as they keep failing within the two year warranty period it looks like I will never again need to buy a toothbrush!!
So there's a result.

Warning - This product can't be fixed if broken and out of warranty period
HI,
I have three of these toothbrushes. They provide a good clean and package well for the price tag. I was happy with the product until I noticed the vibration was off and the head become loose after some time. After contacting Philips customer service team, they advised the product was out of warranty after 2 1/2 years and wouldn't look at my toothbrush as it was out of their "acceptable warranty period".

of the brush. If anything comes loose and you're out of warranty, you have to replace it. I bought the Oral B-Genius 9000, and this works even better than the Phillips. They provide four toothbrush heads compared to two which Philips provide, and I genuinely believe it performed much better. After using it just once, i notice a significant difference. My recommendation - The Philips looks great and feels great. The oral B performed better.5 comments

We're having a very noisy problem with our black DiamondClean. We've replaced the heads as per Philips advice online, so we know it is not that...
Unfortunately now when brushing our teeth, it's so loud it sounds as if there's a hedge trimmer being used in the ensuite!! The other morning I used it without turning on so as not to wake my sleeping husband. This is not ideal!! Any ideas?

We had the same issue. We were able to fix it temporarily using the advice in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-2QBRPq7DE&t=565s
But it appeared something was broken in our case and only extended its life by about 6 months. If you're still on your warranty I'd send it back.
Thanks Piet. My husband contacted Philips and they've resolved the issue for us by sending us a replacement handset unit. It's so nice to be back to brushing our teeth in peace & quiet!!! Philips really looked after us!
