Hard of Understanding
Attempted to resolve an outstanding payment of a premium on Sat 24 June 2017 at 2.00pm for my profoundly deaf father (who is also 85 years of age) after receiving a letter with a telephone number provided. I quoted the reference number. The call centre operator insisted on speaking with my father else payment would not be processed. I had all the details and was happy to pay with my credit card. Operator refused to comprehend deafness. Absolutely humiliating and pointless to put my deaf dad on the phone. Forced to seek urgent home and contents insurance elsewhere. Did not have the heart to tell him why.

My brother found it easier to resolve the discrimination by asking for a completely new quote for my father. I have forwarded an email to Real Insurance regarding this issue which happens more often than not.

Bunch of clowns
Rang customer service to make accendental damage claim, Told wasnt covered, so i read THEIR pds back to them and turns out i am, Then the next clown tells me yes you are covered but we dont cover that,Dont waste time or money insuring with them taking my policy elsewhere. The Ringmaster.

Worth while getting a quote....
We found Customer Service staff ready and able to assist with all our enquiries in achievieing a very competative quotation to our Home and Contents policy. Combining this policy with our vehicle fully comprehensive insurance policy also gave us a further discount. Bundling all of the above together with the assistance of Real's friendly staff made our choice an easy one to make....

If you want paying out don't use Real
Had a small storm claim on my nearly new house. Real spent more time employing people to make sure they could worm their way out of paying me out that it makes me think that if I had a serious devastating claim they would be just as aggressive at not paying out on that. If you have insurance it is supposed to give you peace of mind that if you had an issue then they will pay out. Real are a prime example of what is wrong with the Australian insurance industry.

Absolutely awful insurance company
Had yard equipment stolen from my garage, had Police event No etc. when trying to obtain insurance claim from young woman on phone was totally not interested and said we do not replace like for like anyway we only replace with basic stuff, I said but all the things stolen were very expensive and professional equipment. I had serial No's etc but they would not replace or compensate me for the loss then end result was they would not give me the claim and I was out of pocket. en professionals as it happened in daylight when I was not home as I live in a semi rural setting they were not noticed. I think I must have interrupted her coffee she was totally not interested one item was worth over 1000 and she said they would only replace with basic item like from Bunnings 150 what a joke. Claims customer Service - A challenge for the punter
I am having serious problem getting through to the Claims Manager after a serious fire incident at my home. We are quite unsettled and disrupted from this issue, however, even after nearly a week, can't get a restoration team on site. Am finding serious challenge.getting through to the call centre with different contacts for insurance, Claims centre and restoration company and the list goes on and on..

Never, ever, ever go there.
Took 5 weeks to secure my home. Several thousand dollars worth of cameras, etc stolen and they only gave me a voucher of just over $400 to be spent at a store of their choice, even though I had receipts. Long story short, after 5 months I had to install a door that was broken myself. They did supply the door, but it took them 5 months. I wouldn't ever go anywhere near them.

"Do Not Insure With This Company Shop Elsewhere"
I had 3 Landlord policies with "Real" plus 2 more for house and car for 5 years. When I put a claim in for loss of rent and damage to one property for just over 9k I got back 2k. Some peanut claims manager called [name removed] told me that he had a recording of me saying that I refused loss of rent cover because I have good tenants. "WHAT" The very reason I took out insurances, especially for loss of rent. I asked him several times over several months to send me the recording of me saying that. I'm still waiting.

Please change your insurance company
Had no ends of trouble and my policy was solid. Real insurance owned by Hollard could not even complete a scope of repairs after i had a house fire. Claims 360 were there only to cause more issues. They weren't helpful and ended up with ombudsman FOS after a year and were audited to pay all damaged to home. They gave me half money in a payout and said case is closed.. yeh right dont think so FOS did sought it out and i received the other half of monies. You dont need the stress or unnecessary rudness. I advise to change your insurance company and dump this con insurance Hollard. They will try a cause no end of issues and create their own rules which is to not pay out. Claims 360 is the same.

Worst experience ever dealing with Claim 360 is shocking and they don't keep to their agreements
Experienced the worst storm 2015 (natural disaster) tree fell on my shed and damaged my pergola. Received a new colour bond shed however it was built with a 10cm lean and has since started to rust. The back pergola is full off extra screw holes and leaks. After a year or so fighting with claim 360 about the quality of workmanship I took them to the financial ombudsman FOS Hollards agrees to fix everything puts that in writing to myself and FOS. I'm thinking great it going to be fixed and then Claim 360 reneges on the deal. Didn't think that was even possible so now I'm back to stage one, naturally I'm calling FOS again! What a nightmare do not get this insurance save yourself some grief.

Worst customer service ever - even from the manager update
At the beginning of last year I submitted a claim on my Home and Contents Insurance which I detailed under a review called " Worst customer service ever - even from the manager". I just wanted to reiterate to everyone NOT TO GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY. I have never experienced such bad customer service. My email of complaint about their customer service to the manager of claims on the 18th of March last year (which was acknowledged in May - really? it takes that long) still has not been answered. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. I wonder if they will acknowledge my complaint on it's anniversary?????? STAY AWAY.
This company only got a rating of one because I had to give it some rating.

vice possible does not align with your practise. Have you seen how many other complaints are on this site besides my own about your customer non service? A personal response to my complaint even on this website would show people you have at least some customer service skills. I'm not a customer of yours anymore and never will again. house insurance
I received a letter saying that my insurance would not be taken up in 2017. No explanation was given, I rang to get and answer. The answer was you live in a fire prone area. I have been with Real over 5 years and never claimed.
This is a joke as most of Australia is in fire prone area. I am in defence and I will be happy to pass on that this company doesn't care about loyalty but profits.

Absolute joke of an insurance company!!
Two and a half months after I originally put in a contents claim for flooding have I only now received my claim and they are still yet to approve one part. I have sent countless emails with absolutely no reply and tried to call the claims manager [name removed] who was handling my claim only to be told he is constantly "on the phone". Non Existent Service
Poor service. 3 weeks ago we got broken in to and have had very little communication from Real Insurance. All that we know so far is that for the $15,000 of jewellry that was stolen we are capped to receive back only $2500 maximum minus our $1000 excess. Down $13000 from the get go. All calls to them so far get us nowhere. Claim hasn't even been looked at. No response to emails and no returned phone calls. Absolutely heart broken and disgusted. Don't really see the point in having insurance with them.

Do not insure through these people
They didnt honour our claim with terrible excuses with no foundation. Would never trust these insurers again. They are only after your money. Of course policy was easy to set up but dearer than nrma. There customer service is awlful when you want to put in claim. Totally untrustworthy.

Read The Fine Print - This Company Are The Worse There Is To Weasel Out Of A Claim
An item buried in a single point on page 6 or 7 of the renewal documentation that I overlooked was enough for them to reject our claim. Legally probably correct - morally disgraceful. This item and the correct answer is fundamental to a contract being formed yet they bury it deep in the documentation. I have appealed through their internal dispute process and no surprise here - they rejected my appeal.

Complaint - No customer login for account services like all over providers!!
I have just moved to your company from SGIC and I have just found out you do not even cater an online account service for your customers which is so disappointing...
Why is this, all other providers do like SGIC, YOUI, CGU and Aami???
I would not have moved my three policies to you if I knew how behind in the times this company was.
So how am I meant to check my coverage, renewal dates and payments made/due ring you up and be on hold every single time, that is ridiculous.

Cheats
A recent storm (100km+ winds) blew my side fence down, before the storm the fence was rock solid.. Called Real Insurance, the'll get an assessor out as soon as possible. Assessor inspects the fence "there is some rot in the posts but all in all the fence is in good condition. The assessor said he couldn't see a problem with this claim being approved.
Somewhere between the assessor's report through Claims Central and Real/ Hollard insurance, the report went from Good condition to poor condition and would not be able to withstand a storm.
